I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson and under warrantee they replaced the transmission. But it has never been right. Hyundai has had a multitude of problems with this transmission and it should have been recalled, but was not! Now it has problems again and I've asked Hyundai corporate for help but all they say is its up to the goodwill (translation generosity) of the Hyundai dealer in Charlotte. So I am screwed. I need help contacting the government agency that can do something to help me.

I have been experiencing serious safety issues with the 2019 Hyundai Tucson I purchased that have been ongoing since February of 2023. The check engine light comes on, begins to flash, and the car goes into 'limp mode' and will not allow me to accelerate faster than 45/50 mph. Consequently, it will further stall on hills due to the inability to accelerate. Below is a brief timeline of this incident: - February 21: Bring in vehicle to dealer as recommended for oil change, tire rotation, cabin air filter, and a recall. The recall issue was as follows: 966 engine monitoring logic, 22-01-028H-1, caused by ecm update, 966 campaign, ecm update op code 10d021r9.3 - February: 24: Check engine light comes on, flashing, and unable to accelerate past 45-50 mph. - February 27: Return to dealer and bring in vehicle for check engine/no acceleration issue. - March 2: Pick up vehicle from dealer - March 8: Check engine light comes on again, flashing, and unable to accelerate past 45-50 mph. - March 9: Return to dealer and bring in vehicle for check engine/no acceleration issue. - April 5: Pick up vehicle from dealer - April 8: Check engine light comes on again, flashing, and unable to accelerate past 45-50 mph. - April 10: Return to dealer and bring in vehicle for check engine/no acceleration issue - April 25: Pick up vehicle from dealer - May 3: Check engine light comes on again, flashing, and unable to accelerate past 45-50 mph. - May 4: Return to dealer and bring in vehicle for check engine/no acceleration issue; car is still at dealer as of May 25

Several days ago, my daughter informed me that she heard a grinding noise from the engine while driving the car. I drove the car did not hear a grinding noise but noticed the car had little to no acceleration. Fluid levels were checked and found to be ok. The next day, my daughter told me the check engine light was illuminated and blinking. I checked fluid levels again and drove the car and noticed same engine acceleration issue as the day before. On May 23, scheduled car for service and diagnostic to determine the issue and service technician identified an engine "knock" during diagnostic and recommended I take the Hyundai Tucson to a local Hyundai dealer for service.

The contact owns a 2018 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the headlights intermittently failed to operate as needed. The headlight bulbs detached from the headlight socket with the headlight message displayed on the instrument panel. The headlights were replaced multiple times by an independent mechanic. Due to the failure, the headlight wiring harness kit had melted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and remained in the dealer's possession unrepaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. The VIN was not available.

We had the driver side back door fixed by dealer because it would not open. It would lock and unlock but not open from the outside or inside of car. Now the passenger back door is doing the same thing. I researched on line and there are a lot of same complaints. This is a very Serious issue in case of an accident and the people in the back could not exit the vehicle. I have contacted Hyundai but no response. With a safety issue across a lot of same cars, this should be recalled and not charge the customer $1,000 to fix it.

In the last 2 years, 3 of our 4 doors locks have failed to open the door from inside and outside. The dealer has made me bring it in to prove its broken. This is a saftey issue, now my driver's door is not working from outside and they want me to bring it it BEFORE ordering and waiting on parts. I am 70 years old and cannot climb over seats to get out. Someone is going to get trapped, and I hope it's not me. This should be a recall as they know they are failing but are waiting till it does to fix it. Any help in this would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.

The vehicle is burning oil quickly. I have always gotten the oil changed on time. I just reached 89,000 miles and the vehicle has begun shaking when I accelerate and the check engine light has been flashing. I checked the oil and it is at the half way line between Full and Low - even though I just had it changed 3 weeks and less than 1,000 miles ago. I took it to the dealership, they said they do not recognize a problem with oil consumption. I told them my check engine light was flashing and it felt like it was going to stall when accelerating. The dealership said they used to do diagnostic testing, but don't anymore. They said they would look into, but I would have to pay $135 for the diagnostic testing.

I drive 2022 Hyundai Tucson hyrbrid limited. I have noticed a plastic cluttering noise coming from outside hood area on driver side. This noise is always there at highway speed only. Have already complained to dealership but they act like they are confused and can’t figure out where exactly noise is coming from. Like me many people have complained about this same cluttering problem which nobody has figured out where exactly it’s coming from. But the noise is loud and always there at highway speed. Only way to hide this noise is by playing loud music.

The headlights and taillights fail frequently. I have replaced each every 90 days. I find the contacts melted on them when they fail. I have never seen this happen on any other vehicle I have owned.

I have a 2016 Hyundai Tuscon that is consuming a lot of oil. My oil is changed when it is supposed to on a regular basis, as is all other car maintenance. All of a sudden, my car needs an additional 2-3quarts of oil in between oil changes. Someone told me there are a lot of Hyundai vehicles that are having oil consumption issues. I would like to know more before I go sink the $2000 the dealership is going to charge me to find and fix the issue, please.

- #11522976May 20, 2023BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, ENGINE
My son was backing out of a parking spot at a strip mall. He released some pressure on the brake and indicated that the car lurched backwards and even though he reapplied full pressure to the brakes, he hit the car at the curb resulting in damage to our Tucson, but luckily not the to the other car. The Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist system did not engage, but my son indicated that the rear distance warning system did beep. I am concerned due to the sudden acceleration/lurching incident my son experienced and this is not acceptable in any car. I ask the NHTSA to see if other Hyundai Tucson or Kia Sportage owners, especially with the Hybrid engine are experiencing this.

My car has been using extreme amount of oil and they did a combustion test. Who knows if they did it right.every few hundred miles after all, and I took it to Hyundai and Barnes Crossing Tupalo Mississippi. They say they do have to hook it up to $286 to see if what’s wrong but it is using all a lot of oil. They refused to check mine and refused to fix the problem when it gets low of oil, it clicks in the engine. It also has a vacuum leak and they won’t fix see it without hooking it up and charging me. It is still under 100,000 miles I have a card to show warranty and I am under warranty. What do I do now to get this car fixed very dissatisfied and they are warning me to buy another, no way they don’t stand beside their cars. thank you so much for your time. I am still waiting to get this engine fixed. Also, black is in tail pipe like oil. HELP PLEASE! I’ve Called corporate two times on them and I’ve had to Called and ar and still under warranty but they still won’t fixit. Cooperate suggested maybe going to another Hyundai dealership. What is your opinion?

I was driving over the Burlington Bristol Bridge on 3/15/2023 when my car lost power, with no warning. My check engine light came on and was blinking. I coasted over the bridge, immediately pulled over and had the car towed to my local Hyundai Dealer. I was told my car had no oil in it. My low oil light never came on ever. Dealer told me "someone probably didn't put enough oil in the car" I requested an oil consumption test. Drove the car for 1000 miles, came back and they told me the car was "fine" I drove the car another 1000 miles and checked my oil and was on the L. I would have ended up breaking down again. The code my car threw was P1326 which they told me was low oil, I found out that is untrue. It was a knocking sensor. My car burned 3 qts of oil in 2000 miles. It is completely unsafe to drive as I could lose power while driving and make it inoperable. Please help.

The vehicle has had 2 instances of accelerating extremely fast unexpectedly. Once when I was backing up and lightly pressed the accelerator the car shot backwards in a fast speed. The second time I was parking and lightly pressed the accelerator as I was pulling into the parking spot the car sped super fast crashing my car into the pole and damaging my front car bumper.
