UNKNOWN While driving, the check engine light came on and the car started idling rough. When accelerating the car would shake tremendously, feeling like it would die right there in the middle of the road. When I stopped at where I was going, I checked the oil and there was no oil in the engine. I added oil but it did not help the situation. I made an appointment with the dealership in Waco, Texas and when I showed up they stated they no longer had room for me and to make another appointment. They also stated I didn’t have a warranty as I am not the original owner even though I purchased the extended warranty and I have not passed the mileage or date. This is unacceptable as I do not feel safe driving my car and they did not honor the appointment I made.

The vehicle was repaired under the major engine failure recall. Took the dealer months to replace the engine and now they are reporting the transmission is bad too. The car had absolutely no issues pre engine failure leaving me stranded. From reading up on forums I think transmission failures are just as common as engine leaving you stranded on a busy highway.

My driver window stopped working in 2022, I paid to go get it fixed at an automotive place and then now as of 2023 all of the other 3 windows stopped working within a 2-4 month period. For all 3 windows to go randomly stop working within the 2-4 month period is the concern. I have mentioned this issue to my dealership and cooperate is also aware of the situation. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer. No warning lamps, messages, or symptoms ever appeared anywhere, it just happened randomly and out of nowhere.

On [XXX], Gas pedal failed to accelerate car while transitioning from [XXX\ on-ramp to the highway lane. Was able to steer car to shoulder before momentum dissipated. Warning lights for oil and motor were illuminated on dash. No power steering. Turned off motor. Restarted car eventually. Warning lights not illuminated. Gas pedal worked. Drove about 30 minutes to dealer. Hyundai did agree to replace motor and I paid a fraction of the cost ([XXX]). Since then, they have agreed to reimburse me for my cost. However, an oil leak was detected at the dealer two months ([XXX]) after receiving the car + rebuilt motor. Dealer has tried 4 more times to fix the VERY slow oil leak. Leak is still not fixed. Service dept now not returning my call (2/2/2023). Have called Hyundai customer care 800# and obtained a case number. I had the vehicle towed to a mechanic when I was driving out of town and the check engine light came on. I pulled over and was able to get off the freeway and safely park. I called for a tow tuck. At the time the check engine light came on it started to stutter and act like it was out of gas or oil. I just had my oil changed few weeks ago and had plenty of gas. I could tell something wasn't right. When I found a safe place to pull over and park while I waited for the tow truck. I tried to start the engine and it would crank but quickly start shaking. I tried starting it up to see if I could make it to a church that was several yards away and when I tempted to it quickly started to shake and out of fear of getting stuck or hit I just let it stay put until the tow truck came. Once the tow truck arrived they were having a hard time getting it to start to get on the truck. I had it towed to a local mechanic and it stated that it failed the compression test and needs a engine repair. Since it needs a new engine I had it towed to the Hyundai dealership and after they performed there tests it came to the same conclusion. New engine. At this point, the dealership says it's not covered. The car has 89k miles. At this point I'm at the mercy of the dealership and honestly I just want out of this car and in a safe and reliable vehicle. I owe more than what's its worth. I feel like the moment I purchased this vehicle it was a lemon and had alot of issues arise that shouldn't

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident on January 14, 2024. My vehicle was struck head on, left driver side. The airbag did not deploy. I sprain my shoulder, fractured my chest rib, and have a knee contusion. My insurance company deemed my vehicle a total loss. I contacted Hyundai and they advised that because I did not currently have vehicle in my possession, they could not inspect it. I gave Hyundai the contact information to view the vehicle and they refused, stating they do not get involved with insurance company. My vehicle has not been inspected and my insurance claims representative is awaiting a call from Hyundai, to view vehicle at storage location. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms stating that the vehicle had an issue prior to the accident. My vehicle had a successful all points system check in May 2023, at a Hyundai dealership.

The check engine light goes on and off every few weeks and it would stay off for a few days! The last code I had was P0420 that came up and I had a different one before that and it was for the catalytic converter! So I had already made the appointment to get it checked out and it was a faulty catalytic converter! Luckily my car is still under warranty I didn’t have to pay out of pocket! Had the catalytic converter changed last year and again today almost a year apart!

Friday [XXX] I was driving my 4 year old to preschool. We were on the highway traveling about 55 mph. Without warning my car engine turned off. After coasting for awhile, because I couldn't pull over due to guardrails, I was able to get to shoulder of road. Vehicle was towed to local chevy dealership with inspection result of seized engine. car is available for inspection at chevy dealer, manufacturer has not inspected yet because I will need to have it towed the 35 miles to their dealership but they are aware of the situation. I didn't notice any symptoms prior to engine failure. This was a very scary situation for me and my child. I was so worried I was going to get hit by a car traveling behind me since my car was slowly coasting in the lane of the traffic and I couldn't get off of the highway right away because of guardrails. Once I could get off the highway, my car could only coast enough to get about 1 foot off of road which caused a hazard to other vehicles, myself, and child. - #11568825January 30, 2024ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
This is the third time I had issues with my 2022 Hyundai Tucson losing power, being unable to accelerate, and/or completely losing power and stopping. I already created an NHSTA report/complaint when the first incident occurred 11 months ago (NHTSA ID Number: 11507213). Since then, the issue occurred twice (has 33,000 miles & always maintained). I am a professional female in [XXX] . The 2nd time was at night [XXX]; I was on my way to a program for work, car decelerated. I could navigate, with great distress and frustration to a side street where the car shut off completely. I contacted my husband, my supervisor (who delayed the program start for a few minutes, then began without me), Hyundai Blue Link and AAA. My supervisor sent someone to pick me up so I could be present at the program and make my presentation. A colleague returned me to my failed vehicle. I called AAA for an update on the tow, which I was told would not be for another several hours after midnight. My colleague drove me home (16.5 miles one way: my husband was even further away) as I would have again been alone in my vehicle at night (without heat). This third time (Jan 2024), I used the climate start for at least 12 minutes before driving. The car never gained acceleration above 19 mph, occurring immediately. I thought it was just a cold engine that would dissipate as I drove, but it didn't. Since I could not get the engine to accelerate, I could not get heat. It was as though the engine was draining all the functions of the vehicle. There were no cars in front of me, but several drivers behind me were very angry; amazingly, no accident occurred. Finally drove to dealer, called Uber, and was late to work again! Purchased my Tucson after engine issues with my Hyundai Sante Fe. Both purchased new with many extended warranties, assuming I'd have a safe and reliable vehicle. Car still at dealer (10 days). Is Hyundai ignoring safety and significant hazards over sales and profits? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FO

The engine sign keep blinking on the dashboard, I went to auto zone, they scan it and say that the power train system with code P1326 Glow relay short circuit is the problem. This would be the second time it comes on. The first time it came on but then stopped in a few days but it’s on back again.

The paint on the hood of my 2019 Hyundai Tucson started peeling in August 2023. I took it to a Hyundai dealership in October to see if they could fix it. The dealership said it was a manufacturer's problem and my paint insurance was not going to cover it. The employee told me that he would submit a claim to Hyundai, asking if corporate would cover part of the cost. I have yet to receive a response.
