SummarySome 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit static in the audio system when operating various electrical components such as power windows/roof opening panel. This may be due to the body side ground cable fastener G119 being loose. Inspect the body side ground cable fastener G119 for proper tightness of 6 lb-ft (8 Nm). If the body side ground cable fastener G119 is tightened properly to 6 lb-ft (8 Nm) and the concern persists, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 for normal diagnostics.

SummarySome 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may set DTCs B109F:55, B1330:9A, U0252:87, U0198:87, U0184:87, U0155:87, U0256:87, and/or U0100:87 in the BCM when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to an incorrect sequence of an internal measurement unit during self-test causing a false history status DTC (0x48 or 0x08 status). The DTC matures to history status because the BCM detects nothing is wrong. Replacement or reprogramming of the BCM will not resolve this condition. B109F:55, B1330:9A, U0252:87, U0198:87, U0184:87, U0155:87, U0256:87, and/or U0100:87 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present in the BCM, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated while the engine is running, and no drivability concerns are present. No further service action is required.

SummarySome 2020-2022 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a condition where the engine will not turn off and/or have various electrical symptoms including a dead battery, horn stays on and no crank/no start. The vehicle may also have an illuminated anti-lock braking system (ABS) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C0020 and U3003 in the ABS module. This may be a result of water/moisture intrusion into the battery junction box (BJB). The BJB is located under the hood of the vehicle. This water/moisture intrusion may be related to the BJB cover not installed completely or broken cover tabs/locking fingers allowing water/moisture into the BJB. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to inspect for water/moisture intrusion into the BJB and replace the BJB and cover if water/moisture intrusion is found.

SummarySome 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit the trailer optimized routing feature, active trailer name keyboard, or trailer maintenance keyboard not available when an active trailer profile is utilized. This may be due to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software. Replacement or reprogramming of the APIM may not resolve this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via an over the air (OTA) software update expected in Q2 2023. Customers that have experienced this concern should verify automatic updates are enabled and that the vehicle has been run long enough to receive updates via OTA. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

SummarySome 2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with auto fold exterior mirrors may exhibit an inoperative/grayed out Auto Fold selection in the mirror settings menu in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to the software in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM). To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM and PDM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 14B291 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2015-2020 F-150 and 2017-2022 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of heat or cooling from the cabin vents when the climate control settings are adjusted between hot and cold. This may be due to a stuck/binding temperature door within the climate control housing or binding/inoperative temperature door actuator. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1081:07 may be present in the front controls interface module (FCIM) or heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to remove the climate control housing and replace the temperature door cam(s), lubricate the temperature blend door bearing surface, and apply flock tape to actuator to seal out debris.

SummaryFor 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

These may be addressed with the powertrain control module (PCM)/transmission control module (TCM) Transmission Accelerated Main Control Break In Routine and/or a main control overhaul. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01, DTC Chart if DTCs are present and/or Diagnosis By Symptom to identify the clutch(s) to be cycled. Cycling the shift solenoids and clutch control valves to remove contamination must be performed along with an adaptive drive cycle before attempting repair. For claiming, use causal part 7A100 and applicable labor operations in Section 7 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
