I have the oil changed regularly and keep all records and receipts. I've had the coolant and transmission fluid flushed, the thermostat changed twice, the coolant temperature sensor changed, the oil cooler changed and i checkmy transmission fluid regularly. My van was over heating frequently and no one could figure out why. I changed the coolant our and the temp. Sensor. It doesn't overheat now, but the heater quit working the day it was changed out. It hard shifts from 40 mph and up. Transmission fluid is good. I reset the power module by unhooking the battery for an hour. Still hard shifts . Scanner doesn't bring up any codes. 98,800 miles on it. Back sliding doors won't lock and tire sensor and radio dont work. What can I do? I cant afford a new transmission. The van was bought 2020 and for $19,000. I'm broke.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle with the key fob, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the failure was a persistent failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed WIN switch module. The contact was informed that the WIN switch module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer referenced an unknown recall with a similar failure; however, the VIN was not associated with a recall for the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, and the key fob was replaced three times. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Today, I was driving my van to work, and I stopped at a stop sign, went to go, and the van made a horrible clunk noise and wouldn't drive. I shifted through the gears, and each one made the van shake hard. I purchased this van 2 weeks ago from a used car lot. Earlier today, the check engine light came on, which I planned on going check it when I got off work. I had a mobile diagnostic worker come check it out, and he told me it was my transmission. I contacted the lot where I bought it, and am waiting to get it towed back there. This was dangerous because it stopped driving at a stop sign, and I didn't know what to do. I had to flag traffic to go around and wait for people to come help me push it out of the way of traffic. I am a single mother with a three year old.

POWER TRAIN
2019 Dodge Van GT when driving in about 2/3 gears(automatic trans.) was slipping and hesitating around August 2025. In July 2025 I decided to have the trans. Fluid and filter exchanged. The dealership was said it was on the schedule for it to be done. After that is when the problem started. Took back to dealership and they ran some tests and noticed the problem. The tech told me to drive it for a while that could be that the transmission needed to get use to the new fluid. It started getting worse. I took it to a transmission shop. They said the fluid was burnt and they needed to open the transmission to look closer. $1500 to check. They said they found issues. Total cost to repair/rebuild would be $6700. I thought it was a lot but it’s my main vehicle and needed it. The van has 92k miles and the transmission should not go out that soon. I’m filing a complaint because I believe the transmission should last longer than it did.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Sliding doors do not work. Driver side sliding door stopped working 1 month after purchasing from dealership, and passenger door only opens and closes some times. Safety of my family/passengers are affected seriously if there were any accident or failure for passenger door to completely stop working. They will not be able to exit unless crawling to very front of vehicle. Driver sliding door does not open or close at all. Passenger sliding door works 60% of time. I have not taken to a dealer as I cannot afford the cost. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. No warning signs to let me know the doors would not or will not work. Someone with the same make/mode/year of dodge grand caravan said there was a recall for the sliding door actuators on this year of van and they got theirs fixed because of the recall. This causes a very big concern for me and my van. I need them fixed please. Thank You

.....2014 Dodge Grand Caravan...dc: 07-14...approx date of incident:09-12-2025...reported to Dealer and Dodge customer svc @ 1997. Reported on 09 - 24,25,26 - 2025, after researching on you tube and the net and finding other vehicles with same issue, dodge case was opened with NO assistance from dodge at this time! Out of warranty! Dodge is aware of the problem and extended a warranty on the issue up to 10 years/ unlimited mileage...Problem; While driving down the interstate at highway speed my drivers side SEAT BACK HEAD RESTRAINT EXPLODED, almost causing an accident! No warnings, No check engine lights, No airbag lights, nothing just a loud bang and the head restraint slammed forward into the back of my head.....

The vehicle randomly and dangerously stalls while driving at various speeds and locations. The vehicle will not restart until battery is disconnected and then reconnected. It then starts right up and runs fine until the next episode of stalling. This has been addressed by NHTSA campaign # 19V813 recall for bad fuel pump relay but my VIN # has not been included in this recall even though the vehicle is in the same year as the other vans covered under the recall. This is a very dangerous condition that keeps happening even after leaving the van with the Chrysler dealer for a week to diagnose and they say they don't have a definitive fix for it but offered to replace the entire TIPM for $1700 without a guarantee that the problem will be permanently fixed! The faulty fuel pump relay is well known and has been addressed with an external fuel pump relay kit covered by this recall. Please help us get our vehicle covered under this recall as we are retirees on a fixed income and have already spent too much money (close to $1000) trying to fix this known problem. Already replaced the ignition module which was another known possible cause but the problem still remains.

When I’m driving, especially when I come to a stop or when I try to accelerate from a stop, the car kind of chokes or hesitates. It feels like it’s about to stall, but it doesn’t fully turn off. It keeps doing this off and on when I stop or try to go again. It's very scary and dangerous.

Passenger side sliding door is stuck in the locked position. Nothing I do will unlock it. The lock doesn't respond to any buttons either on the key fob or on the overhead panel. Also cannot be unlocked manually. It is my belief that this is a serious safety issue for rear passengers.

There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the rear brake caliper had blown out. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V523000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that there was no recall coverage for the failure. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a different dealer, Turner Brothers Transmission (5612 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956); where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 151,283.

At 99500 the transmission went Kaputt! Repair man says metal shavings obstructed flow of fluid, through the filter, into the transmission, not allowing for running the car forward or backward. Very dangerous as we were driving down a highway when it just stopped working. Vehicle is only 6 years old. Why would this happen so soon?

I have a 2014 Dodge Caravan.The van only has 48 k miles. The battery went bad so I replaced the battery. Then the problem started. 1st the car will NOT turn off. I remove the key and the engine is still running and won't turn off. I had to remove the ASD relay which was very hot. Once I was able to shut down ,now the dashboard shows the car in reverse but it is actually in park and won't come out of gear. The check engine light is on, the tire is low light is on, and the car with tire tracks is on,(abs). I looked up recalls and they have had a recall on the fuelpump relay .
