Summary1. Use of aftermarket accessory hang-on cellular phone holders and/or air fresheners can break the instrument panel air vent slats. Damage and/or issues caused by outside influences are not covered under the BMW limited warranties. SummaryAn interference noise (groaning noise) can be heard from within the heating and air-conditioning unit in thecenter of the instrument panel. The groaning noise always occurs when either a ventilation flap, air stratification flap or the recirculated airflap moves to a different position. Due to the complex design of the heating and air-conditioning unit, the kinematics causing it (top or bottom, left or right) may not be able to be precisely located. Depending on the vehicle model, the number of servomotors (and the associated kinematics unit) varies.Various models use either 2 or 3 servomotors.

SummaryBMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective February 9, 2023) on certain Model Year 2022 âÃÂà2023 BMW vehicles that were produced between June 29, 2022 and February 16, 2023. This was originally called âÃÂÃÂWireless Charging TrayâÃÂÃÂ. Software in potentially affected vehicles may not recognize the removal of the digital key (Key Card or mobile phone) from the wireless charging tray, and thereby not meeting a federal requirement. On February 17, 2023 , the Delivery Stop was upgraded to a Non-Compliance Recall (see SI B84 01 23 ). SIB84 01 23 outlined a procedure for vehicles at that time which were- a) in BMW center inventory b) already delivered to customers This new SI B84 03 23 addresses vehicles which were in BMW center inventory or at the Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) at that time. Those vehicles had the Key Card removed and were able to be retailed to the customer Such vehicles now need to return to the center to receive a new Key Card and updated programming. Please note that vehicles which were already in customer hands will be addressed by an update to SI B8401 23

SummaryThe 3G network in the US has been shut down. This means that only the 4G network will be available. In the 4G network, voice calls will be transferred via the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) function. For this purpose, the SIM card must perform an IMS registration in the mobile communication network. Due to a production error, the telematics control units were delivered without an IMS configuration. The Connected Drive voice services (Concierge Call, BMW Assistance, and emergency call voice) can no longer be used regionally in the US in vehicle with telematics control units ATM-1 and TCB-4G. Voice control of the vehicle and all other telephone (paired mobile devices) functions are not affected. Emergency call location data is unaffected.
