AIR BAGS
I am YU Sun. I met a car accident. I drive from south to north. I drove my new Toyota Venza( less than one month) entering into an intersection at 30/35miles on green light. The other car turned left with yellow and striked my left corner of my bumper. The speed is very fast. The other car is Lexus and its’ air bag all came out. My can was serious damaged. None of My my car’s air bags came out. I also was hurt on my neck, shoulder and knee. I called Toyota and they made an investigation on it. They said the air bag is normal.

I am the primary driver of our 2022 Toyota Venza. On [XXX] I had just taken the car through the Splash automated car wash on [XXX] and I was navigating into an adjacent space for use of the vacuum cleaners. As I took my foot off the accelerator to put the vehicle into Park, it suddenly and unintentionally accelerated. It crossed the driveway entrance to the car wash, jumped a curb which was actually the top of retaining wall for the parking lot of the adjacent business, and sailed over the retaining wall into the parking lot which was over 2 feet lower than the level of the car wash. I was able to bring the car to a stop without hitting anything, but 3 tires were blown out and severe damage occurred to the underside and front end of the car (we are awaiting estimates of the damage to the car). The airbags did not deploy. I had a minor shoulder bruise from the seat belt but no other injury. The car is at an auto repair shop awaitinng estimates and adjuster inspection. No report has yet been filed with Toyota but we expect to file today. No independent service center or other inspection has been done yet. I am trying to locate any information and updates on my second key fob that was not received at the time of the purchase of my car. Every month I talk with Toyota they say by the end of this month you should receive your letter, so the end of the month passes and I reach out to toyota and they state it was pushed back to the end of this month and so on. I am getting very upset especially when you purchase a $50,000.00 automobile. I can't find any discussions on the Venza key fob shortage but there are discussions on every other model of Toyota. I am leaving on a 7 week trip and god forbid something happens to my one and only key what am I going to do then?

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Intermittently my 2021 Toyota Venza will not accelerate. It feels like it loses power and will not accelerate. It started in March and has progressively gotten worse. It happens from a stop and from rolling acceleration. Toyota dealer Fred Haas Toyota said "they cannot duplicate the problem" even though I told them to go look online since this seems to be an ongoing problem. I do not feel safe in this vehicle since I cannot depend on it accelerating when I engage the fuel pedal.

a small rockchip hit the windshield and caused a crack which quickly began to grow at an alarming rate. the crack grew to about the size of half the windshield in a one day time. The windshield is very surprisingly fragile.

HUGE crack developed suddenly in windshield. This is the third repair I have had to make. This windshield seems to crack easily - even the slightest hit damages the windshield. With this crack I can feel the separation in the glass. It’s dangerous. Doing a simple internet search reveals this as a known issue.

When accelerating from a stopped position, the car fails to go forward. This incident has occurred six times and often seems to be at the worst times, such as pulling into a busy road from a stop sign. The car will start to accelerate and stop with no response from the gas pedal for 3-5 seconds. There have almost been a couple of accidents with this vehicle because of this issue. No check engine light or any light at all came on in the car when this incident occurred. This vehicle has been taking to the dealership and the problem has been mentioned to them, however with no codes to read for the OBDII they claim there is nothing they can do about it.

I have been driving this car for over a year and have not had any impact, collision or any kind of accident. Last week I noticed a crack around the windshield. I starts from the bottom, up towards the middle and arcs toward the driver side. There is no point of contact or any indication that a small/tiny rock fell on it. At first I thought it was a rain drop that rolled down on the windshield but after cleaning both inside and outside, I realized it was a crack.

The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Venza. The contact stated that while his wife was attempting to park the vehicle and with her foot on the brake pedal, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. As a result, the driver collided with another parked vehicle ahead, lightly damaging the front of the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was not filed, and no injuries were reported. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 1,000.

The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Venza. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle accelerated without warning as the accelerator pedal was released. As a result of the failure, the contact crashed into the rear end of another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. A police report was not filed and no injuries were reported. The vehicle resumed normal operation after the failure. The vehicle was later towed to the dealer where they were unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was initially informed that the event data recorder did not record the accident. The contact was later informed that the vehicle control history showed that the vehicle's brake pedal was released and that the accelerator pedal was applied before the accident, the contact disputed the finding. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 2,600.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
When driving at night with headlights on low beam the driver’s side headlight casts a distracting shadow on the road. Not only does this shadow prevent full illumination of the roadway, limiting visibility on the driver’s side, but the shadow can also make it look like an obstacle might be in the road. This shadow is not there when the bright lights are on. I have had this vehicle since Dec. 15, 2023 & I have had two different Toyota service departments check this out. They both told me there is no fix for the shadow. I also spoke with Toyota Corporation by phone to report the problem. They told me there is no program in place to address the issue. I have seen multiple reports of this problem on the Toyota Nation website stating this problem has existed for three years.
