  FLUID LEAK FROM THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CASE ACTUATOR MOTOR SERVICE INFORMATION If the front differential of an APPLIED VEHICLE has a fluid leak from the actuator motor body or threads (Figure 1), replace the actuator motor on the front differential case. DO NOT replace the front differential due to a fluid leak from the actuator motor unless there has been consequential damage due to fluid loss (bearing failure or gear noise) to the front differential.

  SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR INFOTAINMENT ISSUES SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing an infotainment issue or after replacement of the AV Control Unit, it is necessary to verify the current software version of the AV Control Unit to determine if a software version update is required. Use the vehicle tables in this bulletin to determine the current software version, if the AV Control Unit requires a software version update, and which procedure to use to update the AV Control Unit. The software updates in this bulletin are to address stability improvements and “bug” fixes. IMPORTANT: If the customer is experiencing a software related concern, refer to NTB21-038 to verify if the customer concern is a hardware or software related issue. If the concern is a software related issue, review the information in this bulletin to update the AV Control Unit as needed.

  Automatic Park Function Cancel Dealer Inventory *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory quality action on certain specific MY2023 Nissan Titan and Frontier vehicles identified in Service Comm and National Service History – Open Campaigns. Due to a manufacturing concern, which has since been corrected, the “Factory Mode” was left in the “ON” position. Please follow the attached instructions to remedy any vehicles affected by this dealer inventory quality action. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. PC957 • New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign).  Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information • Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Please do not drive, loan, sell or trade the specific vehicles in dealer inventory subject to this quality action. 3. Use the attached procedure to remedy any vehicles affected by this quality action prior to sale. 4. Once remedied, dealers should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed in Service Comm and release the vehicle for sale.

  INFOTAINMENT CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing an AV Control Unit (Infotainment Control Unit), for any reason, all three steps below are required. If all three steps are not completed on vehicles equipped with a TCU, the Over The Air (OTA) updates will not work, and other functions may be inoperative. HINT: Not all APPLIED VEHICLES are OTA-update capable. 1. Reprogram the AV control unit. 2. Configure the AV control unit. 3. Write the VIN to the AV control unit. IMPORTANT: Steps 1-3 above must be performed in the sequential order shown below.

  DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability.  If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer.  If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to NTB21-013 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.
