SummaryTo improved customer experience, an operational modification has been made to unlock the trunk lid after Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) replacement. Be sure to explain the following unlock operational modification to affected customers. Trunk Lid Unlocking Operational Modification: After the engine is turned off and the vehicle remains inactive for more than 5 minutes (sleep mode), it was necessary to operate the electric trunk lid opener switch twice to unlock the trunk lid. • After replacing the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with a newly modified part, the trunk lid is unlocked with a single operation, as described in the owner's manual.

It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern.

SummarySome vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. If a structure's windows create enough of a curve, the concave glass can focus the sun's rays onto a small area and acting like magnifiying glass direct the sunbeams into a hot pinpoint of light. This magnifcation of the sun's rays can cause damage to vehicle trim (see examples). Additional information and exemplar images regarding this phenomenon can be found by performing a google search.

When a passenger seat occupant sits with a load on the front side for a long time with the seat warmer on, the occupancy sensor becomes dented and sensitive. The noise may be due to contamination by foreign matter during the manufacturing process and the fan motor bearing may become worn out during use. To eliminate this concern, the fan motor has been modified. NOTE: It is normal for some noise to occur within the first few seconds after starting the engine, when the front combination lights perform a self check (sweep).
