ENGINE
My car started making a whining noise and leaking oil simultaneously. After taking it to be looked at, there is a broken seal due in improper assembly on the right side drive shaft. If it remains broken, not fixed, I risk a transmission failure. Multiple "Technical Serve Bulletins" have been released by Infiniti since 2017 (my car is a 2019 and was purchased certified pre-owned), but they will not issue a recall because this isn't considered a safety issue. Losing transmission function on the highway would create a huge safety concern.

2020 infinity qx 60 Bought car used in 2024 with 80,000. There is a hesitation when accelerating and sometimes seems to want to die when idling. There is also a knocking sound at times when accelerating. At times I feel transmission skips. When turning right or left or reversing, the wheels seem to creek and almost grind a bit. I am great about maintenance and called to determine if my vin was included in the current recalls. I am told no, but am experiencing the same symptoms described by infinity. Just want to know if there is a any action to take to ensure my 4 kids and I are always safe when traveling and dont end up with thousands in repairs.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I have disable their rear emergency breaking over 10 times. Every time I turn the vehicle off it turns back on automatically. I have a trailer mounted bike rack hooked up to my vehicle and every time I back up it slams on the breakes. I have take then steps to turn this off but it will not remain off. Having this turn back on automatically is a safety hazard in my opinion.

On Saturday, 3/22/25-vehicle lease start date for the 2025 QX60-lease from Sanford Infiniti On Saturday, 4/5/25- brought the vehicle back to Sanford Infiniti due to noise coming from the engine. According to their written paperwork, “The issue is currently under engineering review and the temporary fix is to disable the ANC (Active noise cancellation). Turned off ANC as instructed by DTS, the concern is under engineering review.” On Sunday, 7/6/25, on my way back from being out of town, as I approached an oncoming red light with cars in front of me, I tried to press the brakes and the brakes locked up, hard locked. I repeatedly hit the brakes until they finally unlocked and stopped the vehicle right before impact. I then pulled over to calm down from shaking after almost getting into a car accident. The brake issue could have been worse, and I could have not only hurt myself but others too. They may not have ‘found’ something wrong with the brakes, but the brakes locked up me and I was the one who almost got into the car accident, not them. I don’t trust the car anymore and would like to find a replacement but definitely NOT with Infiniti. However, even if I did get the car back, I do not want to drive it as I do not feel SAFE driving it and I would hope that they aren’t waiting for me to get into an actual car accident to then try to resolve this.

Timing chain completely went when I had been complaining of a noise while it was under warranty. I was stranded on the side of the road. The starter completely went while driving. Now, I am told the transfer case is bad and I had to pull on side of road to a repair shop.

1. I have had my oil changed 3 times this year and there continue to have sludge in the oil and strange noise from engine and I am very uncomfortable and afraid to drive my car. It rides funny and sometime slows on its own. 2. My airbag light has remained on and I was told they need to be replaced Please consider CheckIn for damage engine for recall repair for 2019 QX 60 Thanks

My engine is making a knocking noise and wants to stall sometimes. Some other Nissan engines have recalls and I feel like it should include this engine. This is a 2020 and I still owe a lot of money. I should not be having major engine issues. Please look at this engine with the other recalls.

There has been many problems with the QX60 engine with oil slug and Infinty does not want to repair this problem , even after showing regular oil changes. They want to charge up to $17000 to replace the engine

Since 4/4/2025 unresolved CVT transmission repair 4 replacement CVT transmission have failed, each time order for the repair they have failed with the same problem or different problems with the CVT transmission, •Despite assurances that the repairs were properly completed, I have experienced the ongoing issues – e.g., The gears jumped •The car wouldn’t accelerate past 20 mph •When placed in park, the transmission felt unstable •A check engine light/code appeared •4 Transmission order and all have failed to fix the problem As of 6/27/2025 the reorder of replacements CVT transmission have failed. This an infiniti problem

A mechanic says it is PCM failure. I have owned the car for 18 months. Shortly after buying it, it started doing this thing where it loses power for just a second or two. Cruise control and proximity sensors kick off, steering wheel locks and/or power steering turns off, all interior components turn off. Usually everything comes right back on, and I can reset the cruise control. Lately it has been more frequent, and things don't go back to normal. It sometimes causes the vehicle to stall and not start as well. Today even once things are back "on", I can't control the AC fan, radio volume, etc. Bluetooth shows connected to the car on my phone but isn't playing through the vehicle speakers. I don't undersrand how this could not be a recall when it poses a major safety risk to suddenly lose power and be unable to steer the vehicle! This has been happening since Feb 2024, so I'll just put the original date. Sometimes it happens 15 times in a day and the vehicle is more or less not drivable. Other times I'll go a month or so with no glitches.

Dealer replaced my driver side mirror assembly a few months ago to get rid of the wind whistling noise, but we noted the "new" mirror would vibrate even at a fairly low speed. So took it back to dealer during the 15k mile service. The tech said the mirror had too much play so the dealer ended up replacing the whole mirror assembly. But the newly replaced assembly was also vibrating. Dealer said that there is not much they can do and asked us to call Infinity customer service. Customer service said that that vibration is considering within engineering spec and they are not willing to do anything about it. The vibration is very annoying - the shaking mirror is just a distraction.

This vehicle started shaking and juttering at a lower speed and made it very difficult to drive. Then I could accelerate and it would not go faster. I took it to a repair shop and they were getting CVT codes for the transmission. I looked online a found that many other people had these same issues as well as a Class Action Lawsuit that was settled a few years ago for 278 million for these problems. I was never informed that this CVT was a problem and could have it replaced from Nissan for no charge. I am not sure why Nissan would allow an unsafe transmission to be installed into a vehicle that would make the car unsafe to drive.

There are two problems we have had for many miles. 1. CVT- completely gone at 120K miles but we have had problems almost from the beginning (lease then bought). We were told by the Infiniti dealership they couldn't find anything (30-40K miles approximately) so we let it go thinking maybe it was the carpet mat rubbing up against the gas pedal that made the engine scudder, limp then go fast. Dealership is asking $7K + to replace. -Safety wise the acceleration was lessened. Think of merging on a highway with 18 wheelers on your tail and the car just revs up to 5000 rpms and you are going nowhere. - Infiniti dealership has confirmed the CVT needs to be replaced. - No other inspection(s) has occurred. -The symptoms have been almost all along. Was not identified when at dealership. 2. Rear Coupler. It was replaced in September 2023 with 81,344 miles. And now at approximately 120K miles it needs to be replaced. Again, this is almost from the time of purchase the scrapping noise. We thought it was the tires scrapping when we turned. I find it hard to believe a part can go so quickly (39K miles). $3K + to replace in 2023. -Safety wise the traction in wet weather. - Nissan dealership identified and repaired in September 2023. Provided a 12 month/12K mile warranty. Way too little for the cost of the repair. Infiniti dealership diagnosed this with the CVT. (above) - Nissan dealership said they would need to inspect to determine if there was anything they would do. -The symptons have been almost all along. Was not identified when at dealership.

I am reporting a serious safety failure involving my 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ), tied to Recall R21B4 / NHTSA 21V-774. Although the recall was marked complete before I bought the car in 2022, the defect — sudden loss of power — occurred again while I was driving at highway speeds. Infiniti is refusing to assist due to age/mileage, despite clear evidence the recall fix was ineffective or incomplete. Diagnostic codes confirm hybrid system failure (P0A08, C1A1A, C1130). I am requesting a full investigation into Infiniti’s handling of this recall and a resolution for my unsafe vehicle. The CVT unit is causing hard acceleration and jerking randomly. The CVT unit has a notification a few years ago on this model up to a certain mileage which I believe was 99,000 miles. My vechile just reached 113,000 miles and I am having this problem. It is safety and dangerous issue for me because I have been in traffic making turns when the acceleration seems to not go to gear and I almost caused an accident.

This vehicle has ~43k miles and in the shop 3 times. Once I had computer issues and was replaced, and twice now to replace the fuel pump. First instance, I was at a stop sign and tried to accelerate but the car wouldn't move. It was like it was in neutral but was in drive. I had to shut car down, restart and was able to get to the dealership. Second time, I left work driving ~73 mph on [XXX] in Jacksonville Florida when out of nowhere I could feel the gas not taking. I then got a flashing message across my dashboard several times that said "Engine Stalled" . Imagine the fear in the middle of the highway and essentially having no gas power. Fortunately, since I was leaving at noon, it was not rush hour and fortunately this occurred right before an exit. I was able to remain calm and not panic and get over two lanes in time to pull off to an exit ramp all the while de-accelerating until I landed in the grass off the exit ramp. I cross [XXX] every day for work and cars losing power going 75 mph on [XXX] is terrifying and could easily lead to a wreck and in the most unfortunate incidents on that bridge; cars hit have gone over the side. Again, second time now they are supposedly replacing the fuel pump. How can two be bad? This is so dangerous for someone to be put in this situation. I have seen other posts on the Internet with fuel pump issues on the 2023 QX60 and similar circumstances. Car is in the shop now so don't have the receipt yet for the replacement.
