FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Coming to any situation where I need to change lanes or enter a road . Trying to excel and press the gas pedal the car sort of bogs out and slows you or pulled back. Making it a danger , fatal possibly. You excellent on the gas paddle for both situations I've talked about here, and most cars excellent when you press the gas. The 2011 infinity g37 does not. It slows and pulls you back creating a detrimental situation

On my 2009 Infiniti g37, the supplemental airbag warning light keeps flashing. I was told by the dealer that the problem is the sensors in the seat cushion and the cost of fixing it is $7,050.00. I asked if that was a common problem and they said yes. This light just start flashing one day without any apparent cause. My issue is that there should be a recall on this since this affects so many of the Infiniti g series. This is a problem that so many owners face and it is not caused by wear and tear or accident or any disturbance whatsoever. In my case, my right front seat is seldom used. I searched the internet and visited the infiniti forums and well as facebook and other platforms and the number of infiniti owners with this woe are many. I honestly think this happens due to some manufacturers defect and if there is an accident, the appropriate airbags may not deploy so this is a potentially dangerous situation. Infiniti needs to issue a recall for this item.

My passenger air bag light started suddenly flashing on the instrument panel while a passenger was in the seat. The air bag light sensor shows the air bag isn’t on, even when a passenger is seated. This causes concern because if an accident occurs, it is likely the air bag will not deploy as it appears to be disabled by the sensor. The has been a widely reported problem and should be recalled due to faulty sensor.

My 2011 Infiniti G37 passenger airbag light comes on and off even if there is no people sitting. And even with passengers the lights come on and off, Im worried that one day something happens and the airbag wont deploy. I have done some research and I found out that there is a lot of people that have the same issues. In case of an accident airbag might not deploy, Infiniti has not issue a safety recall for the airbags, and there are complains from 2011 since it came out and there still no recalls in 2022.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure; however, provided no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000.

A recall was issued for a faulty passenger side airbag sensor on the Infinity G37 model year 2007 -2008 (08V521000). I own a 2009 G37 and it would appear this car is experiencing the same safety issue. The airbag off light for the front passenger seat remains illuminated even with a 200 pound adult seated in it. I also have a constantly flashing airbag warning that is displayed on the dashboard. I am extremely concerned that should my vehicle be involved in a crash, passenger side airbag will not deploy even though there is someone seated in that seat. Infiniti has stated that to repair this issue will cost over $5000 which is nearly the entire value of the car. This recall should be extended to additional model years of the G37.

The contact owns a 2009 Infiniti G37. The contact stated that the passenger’s side air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the seat needed to be replaced. The passenger’s side seat wiring and sensor were faulty. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000. The consumer stated he has taken is vehicle to the dealer and filed a complaint with Infiniti and both parties are stating there is nothing that they can do.

2013 INFINITI G37. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO ILLUMINATED AIR BAG LIGHT. THE CONSUMER STATED A LOCAL MECHANIC ADVISED THE SENSOR LOCATED INSIDE THE PASSENGER SEAT MALFUNCTIONED. THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OWNER.

Car got a flashing airbag light after battery replacement. Reset multiple times just for light to come back. Took to Mears Nissan dealership for diagnosis. Diagnosed with bad occupant detection sensor. Dealership quoted me $4,500 for part without labor. Perfectly good car no longer has operating airbags, my personal safety is now at risk because the cost of repair is greater than the cars value, and the part is on back order for an extended unknown period of time. Vehicle is available for inspection. No other lights at time of incident.

Passenger front air bag not activating due to a faulty seat sensor. It puts the passenger at risk of air bags not deploying and potentially causing harm or death. This is a well known problem with this particular vehicle and cost 7000 plus to fix at dealership because the entire seat needs replaced. My airbag light has been blinking and when a passenger sits in the front seat...the airbag still shows as off. 7000 plus is a ridiculous amount when its something i believe should be corrected by a recall. My 2013 Infiniti G37 convertible has under 30,000 miles. The seat belt light/airbag warning light started flashing and did not turn off after seat belts were fastened. I called the Mobile, AL Infiniti dealer to get an appointment. They suggested because this was a saftey issue and they were so backed up that I take the vehicle to a Nissan dealer, which I did. The service department informed me that the sensor in the lower seat assemble was bad ad needed to be replaced (part number 87300JJ84A). They then told me they did not have the labor cost yet but the part was over $8300. I started researching this problem on the internet and found this was common problem with many of the Nissan products.

My passenger seat belt light started blinking and the dealer said I needed a new chip in the seat at a cost of $8,000. I went online to see what other Infiniti car owners were experiencing and it turns out this is happening with all their cars. I can not tell if the airbag is working or will work if I have an accident. This seems like it should be covered by a recall. Please advise.

The contact owns a 2012 Infiniti G37. The contact stated that puddles of water were present on both the front passenger’s and driver’s side floorboard due to condensation and moisture from rainwater entering the vehicle. The contact was concerned that moisture would create mold and an electrical shock hazard inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the sunroof drainage system was clogged and needed to either be cleaned or replaced. The failure was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 130,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Infiniti G37. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the vehicle hesitated upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to a dealer where they replaced the transmission valve battery. Soon after the repair, the contact stated that the vehicle would hesitate without warning upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The contact took the vehicle back to dealer and was informed that the control valve assembly and the speed sensor also needed to be replaced. The contact drove the vehicle home and replaced the control valve assembly himself. After the repair, the contact stated that while driving up an incline, the vehicle would hesitate upon depression of the accelerator without warning. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

Airbag sensor bad. Due to poor design of location of sensor, The repair for this sensor involves the complete removal and replacement of the front passenger seat. The cost of the repair for this sensor estimate from dealership is $4200. Neither Infiniti nor Nissan will financially assist with this obscene repair cost due to design and location of sensor. Without this repair, no airbag in the car will work as intended. We were told that should the driver continue to drive the vehicle without the repair, the airbag could spontaneously deploy, potentially causing great bodily harm to driver and the public. The other issue that is likely to occur is that should the vehicle be involved in an accident, none of the airbags will deploy as intended. The car can not be driven at this time. The airbag light flickered and then stayed on beginning June 2022. The Infiniti dealership in Clearwater, Florida inspected the issue and diagnosed with repair estimate. They offer no other remedy nor any further financial assistance to repair this vehicle from regional nor corporate offices of both Infinit and Nissan.

MY CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN AND JERKED IN AND OUT OF FIRST GEAR IVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR MOTNTHS I LOOKED ON INFINITI FORUM AND SEEN ITB12-027D AND INFINITI WILL NOT FIX MY CAR I ALMOST HIT SOMEONE CAR DUE TO THE CAR DRIVING REALLY WEIRD ! AND SWERVED AND HIT A CURB INSTEAD THIS IS RIDICULOUS IM ALSO REPORTING THIS TO THE BBB AS WELL BECAUSE PLENTY OF PEOPLE ARE REPORTING THIS AS AN ISSUE WITH THIS YEARS TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE AND THEY ARENT DOING ANYTHING TO FIX IT BUT THROW PRICES AT THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR THE TO FIX TEHE PROBLEM THEMSELVES
