ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The dial where the gas milage, temperature and other information is displayed does not come on at all times. The car is started, the display is blank or the radio screen does not work. I sometimes restart the car-up to 3 times to have the dial come on. This has happened a half a dozen times in the last 5 months. the car is parked overnight and this happens when the car is started the next day. the weather has been very cold (30s/40s) or warm temperatures (62/70). I have spoken with two different Honda dealer employees about this issue. They both said that unless this is happening in real time, any Honda dealer could not help me because their testing would not be accurate if they check the car after it happens. I do not know if it is a loose wire, a battery issue or if the digital panel needs to be replaced. I can not get an answer without a paid service call.

The rear windshield shattered while driving in I95. The road was smooth and I did not hit a pot hole. It randomly made a loud sound and the rear windshield fell apart while driving. I tried uploading 5 pictures but it keeps saying upload failed.

My rear window exploded while parked on the garage. I had the rear defroster on for only a few minutes. There was a loud bang that startled me and left me in shock unknowing what it could be. There was absolutely no warning of any kind. I took my vehicle into my local dealer where I bought the car. Still awaiting an answer. I saw online this has happened to many people with this same year and make.

STEERING
The steering is sticking. It started around 4,000 miles and has gotten progressively worse at now 9,000 miles. It makes the vehicle very difficult to drive and very dangerous in rainy conditions because I am afraid it is going to slide having to snatch the steering out of a curve on a wet road! It's like a build up of pressure where the steering wheel wants you to go in one direction and you have to break it free to be able to turn. It is a constant battle, even on straight roads. Just a constant jerking motion to even drive it straight! I travel a road every day with 4 round-a-bouts and I have to break the steering out of the curve every time. If I am sitting at a dead stop with my hand resting on the steering wheel, it's like after a few seconds the pressure breaks free and it allows the steering wheel to turn and my hand to fall to the side with it. I have never encountered such a thing! I hate it! It is DANGEROUS! I cannot believe I have a new vehicle that I absolutely hate to drive because of this!!!!!!!!!!!!! There wasn't an incident but I am putting 11/15/2023 below because that is when I had to drive it in the rain out of town and was literally terrified at the way it drove! I don't remember the exact date it started but I remember that day for sure!

[XXX] When I purchased this vehicle it had four miles on it and had just been also purchased on the 5 it appears from Mexico and brought here to Honda South in morrow ga . No information was told to me about the recall nor was it on or disclosed to me . Next day I download the apps for my car to use and immediately I was stopped with alerts for open unrepaired recalls . When the dealership was confronted they said the manager wasn’t there to come back Tuesday . I seen where this is not only a recall but a stop sell and a non compliance ordered . Until repair or replacement inspections have been done . Now once the repair would have been made the system then would have been cleared of it . But obviously they purchased it from the import regardless of the letter sent out by NHTSA on [XXX] To Mr. Blank with Hondas campaign manager [XXX] . Honda south completely dismissed the importance of safety in disregards to the public safety and the warnings put in place . They then gave me a service dept. Receipt as if I came in for it not as a new customer falsely claiming and stating they received deductible in cash for an inspection. It stated it passed and no repair needed . They never did any of this but instead used it to clear the recall as if I was a previous owner receiving a notice . Then knowing it hadn’t been checked I went to another dealership to see if I could get the inspection and they said that in the system it showed I didn’t it yesterday and also had repairs and part numbers billed to the warranty company. I have everything that shows the deceptive actions I would love to see them prove in camera of all the fraudulent claims and proof they worked on it . They used and falsified government documents and records leaving inaccurate data and jeopardizing my and everyone else’s safety . You don’t know it’s bad til an actually accident happens it’s too late . Now they screwed my loan abusive forces of power . Turned on car to warm up and set my windshields to defrost. 15 minutes later when after waiting for car to warm up I turn off the defrosters because I smell something warm/hot. 5 minutes later my rear windshield pops and shatters. All while parked, checked for any sort of debris and none to be found.

The contact owns a 2021 Honda HR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V064000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I went out to my parked 2023 Honda HRV Sport and saw a hole in the rear hatch glass. It completely shattered when I touched the corner. My local Honda dealer said they've never heard of this issue and never received any service bulletins about this issue which I found online and read to them. Honda customer service said there is an open recall and to take it to the dealer and it should be covered under the warranty.

Valve cover started leaking after 3rd oil change in dealership. Took it in and they retorqued to factory spec, applied silicone and cleaned it under the included drivetrain warranty. They did not replace my valve cover like I thought they would. This should not be happening on a year old vehicle with about 15900 miles.

The rear window shattered on March 8, 2024. The defroster had been used briefly to clear fog. It was parked and when I returned to the car later, the window was shattered. There was a hole in part of it where it had broken with glass on the inside and some shards on the outside on the ground. It was is also broken around the edges where it would be sealed to the rest of the car. I had to drive home in the rain for approximately 40 minutes with glass continuing to break with any minimal and normal bumps from driving on the road. Had anything happened, like a wreck, while we were driving, this defect likely would have affected our safety in addition to simply having glass falling at random. Because we initially thought the car might have been broken into, the police were called and did inspect it. Nothing was stolen and the hole was not big enough for anyone to get into the vehicle. I found this has been a known issue with the HR-V after having it checked on. When I called the dealership this morning (3/9/2024) they stated they didn’t know anything about this issue and did not have any information on it. They gave me Honda’s customer service number, which I called, but since it’s Saturday, no one was there to answer. There was no warning or any symptoms prior to this happening. It’s like it spontaneously shattered.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I've been stranded at least 5 different times. My fuel pump needs replaced, but with the recall, I won't be able to get it fixed until the Fall 2024. I'm upset because I have to keep worrying about my car for the next 6 months. I've visited the dealership where they couldn't replicate the issues I was having with my car, until after the recall came out and answered the question as to what's wrong with my car. But now I have to wait for 6 months to get it fixed. I shouldn't have to worry about driving my car. I would like a loaner car until the replacement parts come in and my car is fixed. I should not have to pay for this loaner car. I just don't know how Honda expects people to drive a car that may shut down at any time. Please help me.

AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
This air bag and seatbelt both malfunctioned clearly the air bag malfunctioned while I was about to cross over a bridge on an interstate .. Ciasing a projectile to shoot me in my eye knocking me unconcouiss and I wasn’t sure wht happened until hind sight and clearly the foremsic evidence supports this .. I woke up hitting.my head on window roof I was in a ditch barreling down a hill twords the bridges legs it stands on and I was already blind I couldn’t see shit nor was I even able to regain control of the vehicle due to the blunt force trauma to my eye and head it was enough to burst my eye ball give me a hematoma and a contusion in my aye and when I finally stopped at about 200 feet 250 maybe from where I left the road I dead stopped hit the concreate leg of the bridge my hands was brassed on steering wheel pushing bracing my self with everything I had so hard it broke my foot .. no air blag deployed on impact I would’ve felt it on my out reached arms tht was on the wheel and my face hit steering wheel about 70 it felt like .. it knocked me out cold .. No way in hell the air bag deployed on impact and the seat belt didn’t lock up no emergency stopping lane control none of tht bs worked .. A matter of fact this air bag caused me severe and worse injuries than the wreck did .. It wasn’t the air bag tht knocked my eye out it was a projectile from the air bag the bag never mushroomed up period …I have all the medical records and pics to prove the foremsics are consistent with causing the crash not stopping any injury’s and thts the seat belt included..
