Traveling on I5 SB, near Longview, WA. Vehicle steering whell was jerked from my hands. I blacked out briefly from side window impact. Vehicle rolled over into trees and bushes next to the freeway. When I was able to finally see the vehicle at the tow yard. The Right front wheel assy, had seperated from the vehicle and was placed in the rear area of the vehicle. It had been sheared off in the accident. That is why I suspect a DEFECT. This vehicle line has been cited in several mishaps associated with steering issues, and a recall has been issued.

I own a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport that has had repeated premature failures of critical components. At ~52,000 miles the water pump failed and was replaced along with coolant and belts. Less than 21,000 miles later (at ~73,000 miles) the water pump has failed again, with coolant leakage and a burning coolant smell. Ford has issued TSB 23-2104 acknowledging coolant leaks at the water pump/hose connection, yet no recall or extended coverage has been offered. This is not the only issue. My alternator has also failed twice and required multiple replacements in under 4 years of ownership. Having two major components (water pump and alternator) fail repeatedly within such a short period clearly shows a systemic defect, not normal wear and tear. Safety risks: coolant leaks can drip or vaporize onto hot engine components, creating a fire hazard. Alternator failure risks sudden loss of power and stalling in traffic. Both are unacceptable in a vehicle this new. The dealership confirmed the latest water pump diagnosis and quoted over $1,000 in labor alone, placing an unreasonable financial burden on the owner. This is the second water pump and second alternator within 73,000 miles. Ford and its dealers know this is an ongoing issue in Bronco Sports, as confirmed by widespread owner reports and TSBs, but continue to deny responsibility. A recall or customer satisfaction program should be issued to address these repeated failures.

While driving, the display screen shuts off and both the speedometer and tachometer loose power. The display is off anywhere from 10-30 seconds before it acts like the system is rebooting and the startup screen comes on. Then, after the startup screen has cycled, the display starts working again. This has happened 5 times now in the last week. I have not taken to a dealer yet but am planning on scheduling an appointment as soon as possible. There were no indication prior to the display going blank and it only started recently.

As you may know, my Ford Bronco 2022 is under NHTSA Recall 25V467 as of July 2025. October is approaching, and so far, Ford Motor Company has not found any remedy for this problem, which can not only cause a spontaneous engine fire, but can also cause the death of those inside the vehicle or a serious accident if it occurs while driving. My vehicle is for daily use, and I have to transport my son to school every day, risking his life and mine, with the uncertainty of the vehicle catching fire. I ask that you consider requiring Ford Motor Company to collect these vehicles or exchange them for others of the same value that are not at risk.

- #11690184September 28, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
The transmission and/or shift-by-wire control system appears to have failed. While the vehicle was in motion, the system engaged “Park” and remained stuck in this position. The vehicle immediately became immobilized and could not be shifted out of Park. The vehicle remained locked in Park for 3 weeks. The failure occurred without prior warning and eliminated essential vehicle control functions. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I could not cross the border in a tow truck with a stranger- so I had it repaired in Tijuana at a Ford Service Center. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Ford service facility (Ford Surman BC – Tijuana, Baja California), where technicians confirmed a defect-related failure and performed warranty repairs to restore functionality. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Yes. An authorized Ford dealer inspected the vehicle and conducted the warranty repair. The manufacturer has been notified of the incident. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning indicators were displayed before the incident. After the uncommanded shift into Park and immobilization, the instrument cluster displayed multiple error messages including “Park Brake Fault – Service Now” and “Pre-Collision Assist Not Available.” Additional context: The vehicle had been serviced at an authorized Ford dealership in the United States less than one month prior to the incident and had fewer than 13,000 miles Vehicle broke down at night with my children in the vehicle. I incurred costs from tow trucks and rentals to get to work the following week. Now with this new Recall and no possible repair for it, this vehicle is extremely unsafe, I have been in communication with Ford and they claim they are going to do nothing about. Please help.

- #11689358September 24, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Potential systemic issue: I purchased the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport on 06Aug2025 which is still within its warranty period. During the test drive I identified the Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) wasn't operable. The dealership stated yes that model does have it and that it is not working. All safety settings were verified on and that it should be functioning but isn't. The dealership troubleshot but couldn't identify the issue. The dealership then contacted the Ford maintenance headquarters twice and received responses to the effect of "Where looking into it" with no path forward or timeline to correct the issue. Important considerations and information: 1. This is an important safety feature that people assume is working if turned on. This is no alarm or error code showing that it has malfunctioned. 2. While driving the Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) alarms went on twice at different times. There was no vehicle in front of me, and it didn't attempt to brake. If it did auto-brake this could've caused someone to rear end me. 3. I was given loaner Ford Bronco sport, and the same safety feature and others didn't work in that one either. This leads me to think this is a systemic malfunction and not a one-off. 4. All other safety features work 5. Ford Headquarters customer service opened case# CXH-XXX. Phone: [XXX] ext. 79202. Case owner is [XXX] 6. There are two versions of Ford Co-pilot 360 which most customers don't know of. One has dynamic cruise control, and the other doesn't. It's assumed by the customer that it is equipped with dynamic cruise control. This isn't clearly stated to the customer. This assumption could be a potential safety issue. The Vehicle was serviced as normal, everything came back in good shape. A few days later the transmission began to slip. The vehicle was taken back to the dealership where I was told that the Torque Converter was broken and the vehicle would require a full transmission replacement costing a total of $8K. The vehicle currently has 102,357 Miles on it.

Seeing that the 2021 Does Bronco Sport has had a total of 16 transmission complaints/issues I'll go ahead and add mine. My Bronco sport started shuttering during acceleration as well as the RPM needle slightly bouncing up and down. I brought my Ford into the Ford dealership for a diagnosis, I paid $165 for them to look at it and them later tell me that my torque converter is going out. They recommended a flush and fill to help with the longevity, stating that would be between $300-$400. That's when I asked how much it would cost for them to fix the torque converter they stated between $3,500-$4,000. Really something I did not want to hear especially knowing that we are on our 15th recall but this one has no solution. Still waiting on the answers for recall #25S76 and #25V467.

I am filing this complaint regarding a recall affecting my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. I received a recall notice concerning the possibility of the vehicle catching fire. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, Ford continues to ignore the warnings and say "we are working on fixing the issue." I feel unsafe and will not drive this vehicle until there is a resolution. Ford has taking months/years to fix this issue with no resolution in sight.
