SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
My ABS, traction control and Emergency brake dash lights are on. When I researched the problem it did show a recall on the ABS control module and wiring harness from certain 2015 Dodge Journeys. I did take my car to a dodge dealership and they did confirm the ABS module needs to be replaced but they told me my particular VIN wasn't included in the current recall. If my car model from the same year has an active recall for the part included in the recall and it is being effective by the same problem listed in the recall how do I get my car included in that recall. I am currently still waiting for the new part to come in with the dealership to have it replaced.

It all started with no starts and had starter replaced and then charging problem had new battery and alternator replaced . Then driving to work all the dashboard lights lit up like a Christmas tree and died a couple of times once in the middle of the road . Even when the car was in park and key out of the ignition the lights on dashboard would light up , like the car never totally shut off?Replaced ecm afterwards thinking that was the problem but wasn’t the case (I still have the original ecm unit ) and still there was a battery drain , driving it and the lights lit up the dashboard and stalled out . You can here a buzzing sound after the car if off and key is removed ?

I purchased my 2020 Dodge Journey brand new. About 2 years ago the back up camera view flipped upside down. I took it to the dealership where I was told it wasn’t covered on a warranty and it would be close to $800 to replace. They said it has to be replaced and cannot just be fixed. After doing a lot of research online about this it seems like a very, very common problem. This should absolutely be a recall.

I purchased a used Toyo tire (model Extensa A/S or 436) from a tire shop in Houston, TX on [XXX]. I was assured it was in good condition, but less than three weeks later, the tire showed severe sidewall cracks, dry rot, and bulging. I was stranded at 1 a.m. due to this failure, and when I inspected the tire myself, I found clear signs of structural damage that should have been caught before the sale. I tried to bring this to the attention of the shop. Instead of a resolution, I was spoken to disrespectfully and hung up on. The owner admitted to giving me a discount because of showing up late to fix the tire, though I never asked for one I simply wanted a safe, working tire. A used tire should still last 1 to 3 years, and this one didn’t last three weeks. This presents a serious road hazard, and I believe this business is knowingly selling unsafe used tires. The Carbondale Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire In the parking lot behind the above-listed address. Fire personnel arrived and found a 2009 Dodge Journey with an engine compartment fire. Fire personnel used tank water and a pre-connected 1 3/4 In. hose line to extinguish the fire. There were no exposures or damage to other property. Upon completing the extinguishment, an origin and cause investigation was conducted, which Included, but was not limited to, scene examination, documentation, and interviews. The owner of the vehicle stated the following: He purchased the vehicle new. He has liability Insurance only through Allstate. This Is not his primary vehicle. He does his own service. No known electrical Issues, and there were no warning lights on the vehicle before the fire. The vehicle has approximately 160,000 miles on It The only known issue with the vehicle was a power steering issue. Before the discovery of the fire, the owner had pulled into a gas station across town to add power steering fluid. Upon leaving the gas station, the owner reported that within a few blocks, he began seeing black smoke coming from under the hood, and there was an odd odor to the smoke. (Review of Oty Video cameras confirmed this account) He pulled in the parking lot at the above-listed address and accessed the engine compartment to find fire on the power steering reservoir, the plastic engine cover, and the cooling fan. He attempted to extinguish the fire with a soda he had and then attempted to retrieve water from a nearby building. Upon returning with water, the fire was too large to extinguish. The scene examination revealed an engine compartment fire that had transitioned Into the passenger compartment during the failure of the front windshield. The hood of the vehicle had completely melted away during the fire. Fire patterns in the engine compartment were consistent with the owners account of the fire. The fire was determined to be unintentional, with the

STEERING
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40-45 MPH and turning the steering wheel to the left or to the right, the steering wheel was resistant. The contact stated that the failure progressively increased, and the steering wheel completely seized. The vehicle was towed to a certified independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with power steering failure. The mechanic performed unknown repairs on the vehicle; however, the failure recurred while driving approximately 40 MPH. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V273000(Steering). A case was filed, and the manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a safety complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

Since purchasing this vehicle we have had catalytic converter issues that have persisted even after having the dealer "fix" the issue.we have also had ABS/Traction control module issues.this is the 2nd identical vehicle owned with the exact same problems.

My back up camera has flipped the view upside down. Sometimes it glitches like static. I have tried different approaches to fix the issue but it continues to be upside down. It also caused me to back into my other car due to it glitching in the process of me backing up by causing me to lose visibility in a split second. It has been like this for years now with no hope of finding a solution. This is a safety issue and should be recalled.

Was driving car after cleaning it had a box in trunk that barely took a portion of the trunk up. While drive smelt smoke and electrical smell and my trunk was on fire inside. Pulled over and the back hatch inside got so hot from what I can only guess was electrical that the box caught fire. This caused a whole inside back hatch and melted part of my seat and damaged my storage containers.

I purchased my 2020 in April of 2021 brand new. When I’m driving my SUV, it will stall and not pick up speed, but my RPM still rise. Both of my front headlights fog all the time and have been replaced multiple times. The fog makes the lightbulbs blow and they have been replaced multiple times. The back up camera is turns upside down stops working when it wants to goes black and also has a green light. It was replaced by the dealership and started doing the same things again after one month. There is also an issue with my radio. It works when it once the volume stops working when he wants and the Bluetooth works when he wants it has also been replaced by the dealership and now they won’t replace it again because it has been replaced.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Since buying my car, it has completely shut off while driving down the street 3 times with the key still in the run/on position. When it has done this I've lost power steering, power braking and complete power loss. The 3rd time this happened while I was taking my children to school and almost caused us to crash so I called a local locksmith, because I thought it was my key because the remote functions (lock, unlock, panic, and remote start) had stopped working also, paid for a new key and programming, only to find out it wasn't just the key, it was also the wireless ignition node module was defective too so I had to have it replaced and programmed as well. The locksmith asked my permission to disassemble the WIN module to inspect it for the cause of the problem and he said that there was a bad contact point inside that was breaking connection and causing the shutdown. I had to pay $1000.00 for these parts and service and I no longer have access to the module that was originally in my car since he took it apart. Thank God I managed to avoid any accidents when these incidents happened. The first time was in March of 2025

Vehicle: 2019 Dodge Journey Issue: Rearview Camera Failure / Malfunction I am reporting an ongoing issue with the factory-installed backup camera in my 2019 Dodge Journey. The camera has been malfunctioning for several years. The camera intermittently displayed a blank screen, glitching image, or the image would appear upside down when shifting into reverse. Over time, the issue worsened, and the camera now fails to display any image at all. This poses a significant safety concern, especially since reverse cameras are a federally required safety feature on vehicles manufactured after 2018. Despite attempted inspections, no clear fix was provided, and I believe this may indicate a manufacturing defect. I am requesting that Chrysler/Stellantis acknowledge this issue and investigate whether other owners have experienced similar problems. A technical service bulletin, warranty extension, or recall may be appropriate, depending on findings. Please advise if any repair support, diagnostic guidance, or goodwill assistance is available to address this safety-critical system failure.

We were driving down the interstate and my vehicle caught fire, there were no warnings on the dash and the vehicle was driving fine. Luckily someone pulled us over to let us know that something was getting on their windshield... Some kind of fluid... Were not sure what. After pulling over we seen fire dropping out from under the vehicle and within 5 minutes the vehicle was completely engulfed
