The contact called on behalf of the owner of a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the owner received notification of Manufacturer Recall Numbers: U90 and W84. The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle stalled, and the contact pulled over to the side of the road. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was left on the side of the road. However, the dealer refused to schedule an appointment to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 127,000.

The contact stated that the vehicle was previously serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V640000 (Seats, Air Bags). The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the headrest needed to be replaced out of pocket. The contact was informed that the vehicle no longer qualified to be serviced under the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 97,000.

We have an airbag warning light that keeps coming on. It's been reset by a repair garage, but has returned this week. Techniction Stating the following: on technical service bulletin they state inspect and install a jumper harness in the front seats. Why do I have to reroute electrical. This should be a recall for repair because Chrysler has wired it incorrectly to start with. other information: symptom/condition: Right and left seat deployment squib 1 circuit open I am notifying you before a crash happens so all chyrsler 200 can be repaired.

POWER TRAIN
This is my wife's account which happen more than 5-10 times because she operates the vehicle. The car at time's will jump into neutral while operating and the accelerator is unresponsive when she shifts back into drive. She cuts the car off for it to reset and sometimes it does, and sometimes she has to do it more than once. It sometime happens when the car has set for a while and she starts it, the transmission light will be on and the car will not move until reset.

The engine stalls abruptly while driving. At the time of this writing, it has luckily stopped when the car was at lower speeds like taking a turn, in a school pickup line, idling at the traffic light. The dashboard does not flash any warning lights and the engine just shuts off abruptly. We then switch the transmission back into parking, switch the A/C off and then start the car by turning the key as usual - it starts very fine and in the first go. This has been happening since last 2 months, upon servicing the car last month the service center noted that lower A/C freon levels were causing massive strain on the A/C compressor forwarding an excessive load to the engine causing stalling to occur. However, even after restoring the freon levels the engine stalling issue still persist. A second round of extensive day-long diagnostics run by the same service station this month did not reveal any problem or root causes and we were left with no resolution. This creates a critical safety hazard for our family and general public.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, the A/C failed to function as intended. The contact stated that when the A/C failed, the temperature gauge on the vehicle was elevated. The contact parked the vehicle, turned off the engine, and called a tow truck. The vehicle was towed to the residence, and then towed to the dealer. The contact was informed that the Power Distribution Center (PDC) electrical connector had failed, which caused intermittent power failures of certain electrical components. The contact was provided with an image of the fuse box, which showed that the fuse box was burnt. The contact was informed that the fan fire, PDC connector, and assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer pending the repair. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V470000 ( ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000.

2011 Chrysler 200, 156k miles, Original owner. At Highway Speeds engine will shut off! Extremely dangerous as you lose power steering and brakes on a busy interstate. No warning lights. No check engine. Issue just started happening and has happened multiple times in last 3 weeks. Car is unsafe to drive. After occurrence car will restart after about 30 minutes. I do not know why NHTSA or Chrysler hasn't done anything to initiate an investigation and recall. This issue is widely reported on many forums. After second instance, a repair shop reproduced issue and saw U1403 so they updated PCM/ECU as they couldn't find anything else. It has happened since then and my scanner showed DTC codes P061C status code 30 and U0401 status code 20.

My air bag light has been flickering on and off for quite some time now. I’ve taken it to a professional mechanic as well as Gerber and they have both fixed the issue by unplugging and replugging the harness underneath the passenger seat. I was told this issue with this type of Chrysler has been brought by the shop numerous times and I may have missed a recall repair on this vehicle. I have repeated this method numerous of times but at this point it is an inconvenience and safety issue. How am I able to receive a recall notice to get this issue fixed? The problem seems to be with the electrical system the TIPM is malfunctioning. Wipers will stop midstream or run constantly, any time power is engaged in the car the wipers will begin to work whether the switch is on or off and regardless if the key is even in the ignition or not. Airbag lights are lit up, blinker switch will engage wipers to run.

I started having the oil pressure warning light come on same day after an oil change. It was a 3-hour drive, and the light will come on while my foot is on the break. Oil level was in the safe marker. Then I started feeling rumbling like I was driving a stick shift car. One major incident I was waiting for my turn at a light and when it turned green, the car was stalling but went. All of sudden it stopped and cut off and wouldn't crank back up. When it did the light was red and cars were going around me. It was running hot but started back up for me to drive home. But it I stopped it shuts off. The inside lights do a weird thing like comes on randomly while driving and it's scary at night. Also, if using the left turn signal the lights comes on. But when the car is off the radio and other controls go bright then dim. When put on a code reader many codes come up P0506, P0137, P0171, P0131, P0302

The contact owned a 2012 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed during night, a bright light suddenly obstructed his view to the roadway. The contact's son veered the steering wheel and suddenly crashed into a traffic signal, where it came to a stop. The traffic pole was knocked down and landed on top of the vehicle, damaging the front windshield and roof. The contact's son was unsure what exactly happened, and is unsure whether the vehicle spun around or crashed into any other private property. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. A police report was filed. The contact's son was covered in glass from the front windshield and suffered injuries to the back on the right side that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 161,123.

Friday, I was stuck in traffic when I noticed my temperature rising. I couldn’t pull to the side or turn my car off or do anything to get me safely out of the situation, my car then reached at what I last seen 275 degrees before shutting down. I had to leave my car setting as it was smoking and undrivable at this point. Later that night I got my car back home and upon further inspection my fan has abruptly stopped working, it is still getting voltage (bought a new fan) and that one also will not work either. When we checked the voltage it is backwards despite it never being worked on before. There’s electrical problems with these cars and they need addressed. I was left in 98 degree heat for almost 2 hours because of these issues. Next time it could be a woman and her children. Please fix this.

I’m writing to report a recurring issue with the catalytic converter on my vehicle. I had it replaced less than five years ago after the original one failed, which ultimately caused damage requiring a full engine replacement. Now, the replacement catalytic converter is failing again. I’ve owned my car for 11 years and have always taken good care of it. I find it extremely frustrating—and financially burdensome—to face potentially thousands of dollars in repairs again for what seems to be a recurring, possibly faulty issue. I’m requesting that Chrysler investigate this matter and provide assistance or a resolution, as this does not seem like normal wear and tear.
