EXTERIOR LIGHTING
When set to auto headlamps function, headlamp lights begin to flicker/flash on and off randomly while driving in sunny daylight conditions. This could be a distraction for drivers in front of vehicle. Dealership cannot repair problem as they claim not to have a Service Bulletin number from GM.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, SERVICE BRAKES
Electrical system (Sound system, Bluetooth, graphics, and backup camera), and Automatic Braking - available for inspection Screen glitches using apple car play (wireless and wired), and in general (have pictures and videos) Backup camera is a fishbowl and stays on when driving at 45 mph or at any speed (have video) Car electrical system stays on when doors are shut, engine off and key removed for prolonged amounts of time (have video) Does not brake, only flashes and chimes when driving between 5-50mphs - If I was to get into an accident and the car did not stop itself driving in the range it's supposed to work then that will be an even larger issue at hand. Noticed sound issue when sitting in the car with sales person on the phone with OnStar and didn't think of it being an issue, and they noticed it to. Then the issue kept going on and more things were happening so, I brought to the dealership on 06/05/2024 for the first time for mentioned issues and told they could not duplicate because the car was built by robots. Returned to the dealership on 06/14/2024 for a second time and was advised that they would have the car for a week - was spoken to like I was undereducated and belittled by staff. Told to not get confused when signing paperwork for loaner. Car has been returned as of 6/15/2024, and was advised that they didn't do much and the sound system was due to the settings being adjusted and not at factory setting 0 (what is the point of the settings if you cannot adjust the sound, it's been like this for decades now - have on invoice). Overall, I am highly upset with this dealership and car manufacturer because although it may seem like pointless electrical issues - if something else malfunctions it could be detrimental. Lastly, the dealership could not comprehend the videos, or photos I sent and I could not figure out how to explain something that wasn't hard to figure out. I don't appreciate being blamed twice now for issues that I did not cause.

While driving on the interstate at about 65 mph both the screen for the speedometer and the screen with the radio controls went totally black/blank. After about 2-3 minutes it came back on. The car continued to operate normally when this occurred. The car is new with only about 400 miles.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, she became aware that the computer was not working properly, since the welcome message displayed on the instrument panel had seized for several minutes. The contact was aware that the failure was related to an unknown recall. However, the local dealer refused to diagnose or repair the vehicle since the VIN was not included. The contact also stated that the automatic connection between the phone and the vehicle was not working properly, because callers could hear the contact; however, the contact could not hear caller. The contact stated that the rear passenger window switch was not working properly. The rearview camera was inoperable, affecting the visibility while reversing. The vehicle was not repaired. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Engine system including power train and electrical harnest. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I was driving the engine light illuminated after i smelt burning. i immediately pulled over and called the dealership. The vehicle is brand new with less than 10 miles on the odometer. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes The dealership service department states Chevy is aware of the problem but has not issued a recall. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others?Yes by the Chevrolet company Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? the vehicle has less than 10 miles on the odometer. after possession of the vehicle while driving the engine light came on. i immediately notified the dealer and had car towed dor repair on 5/22. The car remains in the shop with no estimated date of repair.

Ambient light sensor defective since vehicle was new. It would turn the lights on at dusk and back off at dawn but was confused by direct sunlight on sunny days. The the lights would switch from DRLs to headlights/taillights whenever direct sunlight hit the sensor and then immediately switch back to DRLs when any shadow crossed over the sensor causing the lights to flash. this causes other drivers to flash their lights back and can be very distracting. After replacement of the sensor, the problem went away.

I was driving the car on a highway and there was a small muffled boom sound under the hood. The “low oil pressure light” came on simultaneous to the sound and the car suddenly lost power. I managed to put on brakes and pull to the shoulder of a very busy highway with semi trucks passing closely by. I was luckily able to get out of traffic because I happened to be in the right lane. The vehicle was towed to a GM dealer where it remains. The service mgr stated it had a sudden catastrophic engine failure and there was a huge hole in the side of the engine block. They have no other updates for me and will not discuss it at this time. I’m not aware of anyone else examining the vehicle.

Only have had this vehicle about a month but almost every day I drive it during the day if it's even just partly cloudy, cloudy, or raining the autoheadlights just constantly flash on and off. Sensor clearly isn't working properly. If it's completely dark lights come on correctly and if it's very sunny they stay off but anything in between is just a constant flash. Not safe due to sight, but also can cause road rage of other drivers thinking I'm flashing them....

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while stopped at a stop light, another vehicle rear-ended the vehicle. The contact stated that both the driver and passenger seat belts failed to restrain both occupants. The air bags also failed to deploy upon impact. A police report was filed. The contact managed to drive away from the scene of the accident. The contact and the other occupant both sought medical attention the next day at a hospital. The contact was treated for multiple herniated, torn, and bulging discs on their vertebrae. The contact's passenger also sustained several bulging discs on their vertebrae which extended from the neck to the bottom of the spine. A dealer was not contacted. When the auto headlight feature is on, the headlights keep flashing even when it is sunny outside. The intellibeam sensor seems to be too sensitive to any deviations in lighting. This could cause issues while driving if people think you are intentionally flashing your lights at them.

SEAT BELTS
I purchased this car on Feb 23, 2024 brand new - I have had trouble on numerous occasions trying to unbuckle my seat belt - the seat belt is too far down between the seat and the middle console making it difficult to manuever - if there were ever an emergency where I had to get out of the car fast - this would be extremely unsafe and problematic

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
When driving 70+ mph on a county highway a dog ran out in front of my vehicle. There had been a similar instance to this where a car pulled out in front of me on the same road and my car assisted in making a full stop to avoid the accident. However, this did not happen with the dog. There was full impact damage and vehicle has been in the shop for 3+ months awaiting parts for repair.
