SERVICE BRAKES, POWER TRAIN
Driving our Tahoe today and every light pertaining to the brakes as well as a few other came on.. You can feel the vehicle pulling to one side and hear the transfer case howling.. We have replace the transmission a little over a year ago with a certified GM mechanic..Recall - N192261050 and N262557620 do not fall under our Vin# but this is exactly what's going on with our vehicle.. My wife drives this vehicle daily with our kids in it.. If a catastrophic failure occurs with either of these issues she will wreck and endanger herself and our kids..We have no other vehicle to drive as this one is too unsafe and we do not have the financial ability to just pay out of pocket for GM's product faliures

ENGINE
At approximately 80,700 miles, I started my 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe (6.2L V8) to take my family on errands. My wife heard a squeaking noise from the engine as she walked to the vehicle, and I got out and heard the same noise. No warning lights or messages appeared on the dashboard, before or after. I took the vehicle to an independent repair shop, expecting a belt problem. After inspection, the shop told me the valve lifters had failed and needed replacement, and that the camshaft would likely need replacement as well. I declined the repair and took the vehicle to a GM dealership for inspection and documentation. The GM dealer confirmed the lifters need replacement. They could not confirm whether the camshaft is also damaged without an engine tear down, which I have not authorized. The dealer estimated $13,200 to replace the lifters and camshaft. The independent shop estimated $8,200. The vehicle has not been repaired, and the failed components are still in the engine and available for inspection. I am concerned for my family’s safety. Lifter failure on this engine can cause misfires, loss of power or engine failure while driving. We use this vehicle to transport our family, and a sudden loss of power on the road could cause a crash.

ENGINE
There was no accident, but while I was on a busy highway, my vehicle started failing me. I wasn’t able to go past 50mph. After taking it to the dealership they said it’s a torque converter and transmission failure.

ENGINE
6.2l Engine Failure: Vehicle was purchased last November at 113000 miles and at approximately 127000 miles we heard a noise coming from our engine one morning. Took it to the dealer we purchased the truck from because we bought an extended warranty and they got back to us and said there were metal flakes in our oil. They dove deeper and said it was connected to internal engine failure. They told us we could keep driving it but we said no that’s too dangerous and current it’s sat 3 weeks on their lot while we figure out what the warranty company is going to do and if we’re going to be able to get a new motor from GM. I owe $40,000 on a car that is basically junk and idk what to do. When my dealer told me GM only put 21-24 in their recall I started digging and found out the entire L87 6.2 gas platform is plagued. Please be informed that my maintenance records are also intact with regular scheduled oil changes performed by professionals. Please help!

POWER TRAIN
My transmission completely went out at 130,000 miles. We had to buy a whole new transmission. It has had regular maintenance on it. Rpm would skyrocket the car wouldn’t move. Then it would finally go but not very fat or will. It also was making a terrible grinding noise

POWER TRAIN
I recieved this message after bringing my 2019 Chevy Tahoe to the dealership today for regular maintenanceand to check out a slight noise coming from under my hood: Rotational noise in your engine compartment had to remove the belts to be able to isolate where the sound was coming from. The noise is coming from the camshaft inside your engine so we know that is going bad. He also noticed that the engine mounts are worn out, oil cooler lines leaks and water pump leaking. I have kept up all required/recommended maintenance on time and didnt have any reason to believe I needed anything more then belts replaced and fluids changed when I took my truck to the dealer. After recieving that message, I spoke with the manager at the dealer and he said its a common issue. I've loved on my vehicle and value it as it is my only vehicle that transports my 2 children and myself around. Therefore im confused how this could happen outside of a manufacturer defect. There werent any warning lights, just a slight chirp coming from under the hood which sound like maybe a belt was going. The truck is at Boniface Chevy Melbourne Florida where I purchased it from.

ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
While driving, the engine started to shutter and run rough. Pulled over to check and see if everything was ok. When restarting engine it developed a ticking noise which got worse and worse. We then made an appointment at a transmission specialist to get it serviced. While driving there the engine started experiencing engine failure with loss of power and loud ticking noise. Diagnostic from trans shop showed issues with engine and cylinder 4 misfire detected. Yes, the vehicle can be inspected upon request. Safety was put at risk while driving when engine started to fail. Had to pull over and have towed. Independent service center has confirmed issues. Report in attachments. No warning lamps or messages appeared prior to failure issues. The issues first started on March 18th 2026. SUV has been un drivable since. We have been unable to find a repair shop who is willing to do the repairs needed. The vehicle really needs a whole new engine.

ENGINE, POWER TRAIN, SERVICE BRAKES
At 64000 miles my 2019 Chevy Tahoe has to be replaced due to lifters failing. GM/Chevy wants to charge me $17000 to install a new 6.2L - V8 engine. (Same engine that had the lifter problem). That engine has been recalled on earlier and later models. What do I do to fight the cost of new motor ?

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:INSTRUMENT PANEL:SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy after the purchase of the vehicle. The vehicle was an independent dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 135,000. It was later discovered, upon checking with an OBD2 Scanner, that the mileage was 220,145. In addition, upon checking Carfax, the mileage was 134,426.

POWER TRAIN
Ticking sound started from the motor and the check engine light came on. We took it to the dealership and was informed the vehicle had bad lifters with a bent push rod needing a full motor replacement. The vehicle has 92k miles and was purchased a year and a half ago from that same dealership. The vehicle is currently at the dealership awaiting costly repairs.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY/WIPER
This is the date I first took the vehicle to a dealership. The Transmission has performed poorly and the wiper would not work at all and it was not a fuse problem. Transmission finally failed and had to be replaced (6/25) but car is in a dealership for the 3rd time for windshield wipers. They do not work so car is dangerous. You leave home with no rain and then there is rain and wipers sometimes worked, most of the times they did not. On 6/25 they would not address the issue as wipers worked in High speed (but only on high speed). 3 months later they did not work at all. It did not rain in LA so not concerned, but now it is. This is a serious system design flaw. The replaced complete wiper blade system, but The relays on the bottom of the fuse box control the wiper blades. I have the Z71 off-road package as I drive off-road and in snow conditions. This car was designed poorly as this is a 4x4 vehicle and moister should not effect the electrical system nor a safety device like the windshield wipers. This is a potential recall issue to properly fix the problem. Sadly the majority of vehicle owns just drive on the highway, but others have reported windshield wiper failures.

ENGINE
My 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine has experienced a major internal engine failure. The dealership diagnosed camshaft bearing failure with a recorded misfire on cylinder #5. The engine oil was drained and inspected and no significant metallic debris was found, and the dealership noted no evidence of abuse or neglect. Intermittent drivability concerns were present over the life of the vehicle and were addressed through professional diagnosis and repair each time. The vehicle has been properly maintained since new. Just months prior to this failure, the vehicle underwent full diagnostics and significant repairs, and no internal engine failure was identified. This failure appears consistent with a known defect pattern affecting GM 6.2L engines involving internal valvetrain or camshaft-related failures. The failure resulted in abnormal engine noise, misfire, loss of power, and the vehicle becoming unreliable for safe operation. General Motors has declined goodwill assistance citing warranty expiration, despite the nature of the failure being a non-wear internal engine defect. I am submitting this complaint so this VIN and failure can be reviewed as part of any ongoing investigation into 6.2L engine failures.
