The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the steering wheel locked at an angle, and the message "Power Steering Not Active" was displayed, causing the vehicle to strike a curb. The steering column, control arm, radiator, fender, and wheel were significantly damaged due to the incident. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the power steering module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and an investigation was completed. The failure mileage was 58,277.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The front headlight leaks water which pools inside the led front headlight bezel causing the headlamp to blow/fail. This is a known GM issue and TSB's have been initiated. Concern was confirmed by the dealership who reported that the seal on the headlamp had failed causing the water leak and full replacement of the headlamp/headlight bezel needed to be replaced.

Transmission malfunction. This has appeared several times at highway speeds and low speeds. Driver to limp along in the slow lane to exit ramp and take back roads to get back to base. The current problem has been confirmed with error codes P0747. Check engine light comes on with a screen prompt “Reduced Acceleration Drive with Care”.

The failure involved the transmission valve body control valve within the automatic transmission system of the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, a critical component responsible for regulating hydraulic pressure and controlling gear shifting. The malfunction caused erratic and unreliable shifting behavior, including hesitation, harsh engagement, and loss of proper acceleration; the failed component is in the custody of Northside Chevy in San Antonio, TX. This issue created a significant safety risk, as the unpredictable transmission response impacted the driver’s ability to accelerate when necessary (merging onto high traffic roads) and increased the likelihood of dangerous situations like rear-end collisions or loss of control. The problem was confirmed by an authorized Chevrolet dealer, where diagnostic testing identified faults in the transmission control system and verified the failure through performance testing and fault codes. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership service department, though it has not been directly examined by the manufacturer, law enforcement, or insurance representatives; however, documentation of the diagnosis is being withheld by the dealership. Prior to the failure there were no warning signs present. Only after failure did the check engine light illuminate, transmission-related warning messages, and noticeable symptoms such as hard shifting, delayed engagement, and slipping, which appeared shortly before the complete failure and significantly worsened over the three-mile drive to the dealership.

Odometer Fraud. The contact was in the process of purchasing a 2019 Chevrolet Surburban. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. Contact stated the vehicle was a private dealer sale were they garage vehicles at 1524 Firestone Blvd. LA CA 90001. Contact stated vehicle was being sold with a milage of 69,430 but it was later discovered that Carfax reported vehicle mileage as 154,206.

UNKNOWN TRANSMISSION ISSUES MENTIONED IN OTHER RECALLS FOR SAME PERIOD/MAKE MODEL AS LISTED YET MY VIN was not, as a mother 4 little ones I need my vehicle to perform as it was design to, the cost for this repair is over 6,000.00 I have already invested over 40,000 since I brought it. I feel they ought have included my car on this recent recall they had to have known this problem was of their why else would there recalls. I still must pay monthly for a vehicle that does perform as it should. This impacts my ability to provide for the needs of my children. I hope relief is on the way.

The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while the contact's husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, however the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. In addition, the contact's husband noticed an abnormal sound and the vehicle independently stopped. The contact stated that the instrument cluster displayed a blank screen. The contact's husband attempted to shift the gear shifter, however the gear shifter failed to shift as intended. The contact stated after several attempts, the gear shifter shifted as intended. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed transmission. The contact's husband was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced or rebuilt. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not associated with a recall related to the failure. In addition, the contact was informed that the failure was a known failure with the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the failure was not covered under the unknown recall. The failure mileage was approximately 108,000.

Specifically, the fuel lines are leaking at the connection point on the top of the fuel tank. The vehicle and the affected components are currently available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This defect poses an immediate fire and life-safety hazard. Because the fuel leaks while the vehicle is powered on, any spark or heat source could ignite the fuel tank, leading to a vehicle fire or explosion. Additionally, the cabin environment has become toxic; the concentration of gasoline vapors is so high that it causes physical illness. One of my children vomited due to the fumes. The vehicle is currently undrivable because the vapors are intoxicating and hazardous to the health of all occupants. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the leak has been inspected, reproduced, and confirmed by an independent service center. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, law enforcement, or insurance representatives. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages (such as a Check Engine Light) prior to or during the failure. The symptoms—specifically a strong odor of raw gasoline—first appeared four days ago. The intensity of the odor and the rate of the leak have increased significantly since the initial onset.

When coming to a stop or backing from my inclined driveway the foot brake requires a hard push because it seems to lock up. I couldn't stop when braking. The problem is recurring. It has not been inspected for this recurring problem and no lights or warning signal appears on the dashboard.

transmission failed high speed jerking shifting ruined a set of tires yes has been confirmed by dealer but our vin is not covered under the recall no yes error codes appeared before we took the vehicle in for service 6-5-2025 we have had the vehicle in to 2 separate dealerships a total of 4 times for repair now that powertrain warranty is expired they are calling for a transmission replacement

On [XXX], our car was parked for 5 hours at a public marina. [XXX], Miami, Fl 33138. At 316 pm the MIami Dade Fire Rescue arrived promptly to put out the car fire. There is a fire station on scene. It seems to have started at center console. We serviced the car 1/19/2026, a thermostat in the engine. The engine was not the source of the fire. We also recieved a "green" clean check list on the car except to check tire pressure monitor. This electrical fire started center console. We had a minor glitch with the radio and navigation system at times, the original system. However we had a green check list in January, 2026. Suburban started to have shudder at lower rpm on acceleration. I took it to the dealer and they confirmed the valve is bad. They are unsure at this time but depending on damage from the bad value my Suburban may also need a new torque convertor or transmission.

When I first got this vehicle 2019 brand new off the lot the dealership in newark ohio had to completely rewire it. It took them a month to figure it out. I just replaced the transmission and now the engine is out. A piston rod snapped hit both sides an cracked the sides and the oil pan.

The rear defroster malfunctioned and caused the rear glass to reach a high temperature, and it started raining outside, and it caused the rear glass to shatter. No known issues before? We come to this conclusion by looking at the black overheating marks on the glass after it shattered.

The telecommunications module for vehicle GPS and OnStar emergency services failed after a factory software update. Now the vehicle has no GPS location, information emergency OnStar services or the ability to access vehicle Telematic via cell signal or an app. Dealer refused to cover the item under the 36 month bumper-to-bumper warranty leaving the consumer stuck with a $2000 cost just to have GPS in the vehicle and maintain contact with emergency services through OnStar.
