Android Auto stops functioning while driving, only way to deal with getting android auto going is to pick up phone and start navigating thru menus on phone, which is something that I don't want to do in the middle of driving.

When I started up the vehicle with the key fab button I noticed the cabin air blower came on as normal however when we went to the cockpit we noticed the engine was not running. When we went to start the vehicle (holding break and pressing start button) the dashboard started the Z71 launch sequence and then went to a dashboard as if I was in the normal drive mode however the dashboard was extremely dimly lit as if the backlight was not on and the engine still was not running. After several attempts to start using the brake+start button method we noticed a clicking sound that seemed to be coming from the engine cabin just in front of the passenger cabin however it would never ignite/start the engine. After several attempts to start the engine through the brake+button, we tried to just press the start button, which would sometimes be prompted on the dashboard, and get some feedback from the dashboard through better backlighting and messages I now cannot recall but never ignited the engine. When we tried again with the key fab x2 button (hoping it would either start or "cancel" the current vehicle state), we received no response from the vehicle. When we attempted to shift, it stated the "conditions were not met", which I perceived as the correct response. The vehicle was stuck in this "mode" with the air blower still running and exterior lights still on and it was only a matter of time until the battery ran out. When it ran out later that day (though not completely ded) in rebooted in the same tweener mode. However, when we came the next day with a tow truck and a fully dead battery in the Suburban, the vehicle booted right up as normal. The tow truck driver indicated several new Tahoe drivers experiencing the same issue. To me, this is a software launch issue. While the vehicle was not perceived to be in danger, it left us stranded in what could be a dangerous location. Several episodes as reported by tow truck. Unsure if inspected. No symptoms before problem.

The power steering locks up at random times while I am driving my vehicle. It seems to be temporary loss of power steering because it eventually starts working again. It feels almost impossible to turn the car when this happens. I searched online and found there had been a recall on the EPS (Electric Power Steering) for this exact issue. I called the local dealership, they told me after searching my vin that the recall had already taken place in 2019. The repair or recall that was done did not fix the problem.

Vehicle loses power steering when turning at slow speeds which was part of a recall from 2018. Reflashing the module didn't fix the issue and has been doing it again for a year now except that now it occasionally loses power as well and has twice lost power while I was turning and oncoming traffic coming at me. GM is saying it is not the same issue as the prior recall, but I disagree and that the work done prior didn't fix the safety hazard. An 8 year old vehicle shouldn't be losing power while driving to where the battery cables have to all be replaced. That should have been the work GM did back when they first put out the recall for the loss of power steering.

ENGINE, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Hello, To whom it may concern, My vehicle is a 2018 Chevy Suburban with a 5.3 motor. GM produced these motors made from inferior metal and defective lifters. My engine began failing in May 2022, I've taking my vehicle to several shops for work but the problem has not been resolved. I have links below explaining the problems with these motors. There are tens of thousands of individuals with families struggle with this same problem I'm having as well. This is world wide news, I'm asking for help for myself and so many other people in these challenging times. I've contacted GM headquarters. [XXX] and [XXX] with no success, just the run around. I went to a GMC dealer here in Clarksville, TN where I reside this month. [XXX] with GMC told me he was hearing my lifters and I need not drive my vehicle. Called me in his office and told me he couldn't get my vehicle in to be looked at, but gave me another dealership contact information. I called and spoke with a gentleman by the name of [XXX] he also informed me that they were backed up and couldn't see me until October 5th. Vehicle is very hard to stop there was a recall which was performed in 2019 and it’s coming back and doing the same thing it takes a lot of brake pedal pressure to stop the Vehicle. It started some time ago but now it’s getting very hard to stop the car

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, WHEELS
With cruise control activated, at least 10 times since I bought this expensive vehicle the automated emergency braking activated at highway speeds - causing the vehicle to full brake without warning and nearly causing an accident each time (handling risk and risk of being impacted from behind by a following vehicle). I have formally reported this issue to dealers in MN and MT, and they only thing they said was they could not duplicate the condition during brief test rides and this was not a know problem. I personally know this was a known problem and GM did a safety recall for this condition on MY15-20 Suburbans. This condition is definitely an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety. In additional, the original tires supplied by GM (Firestone) failed under normal driving conditions after only about 35,000 miles, and both GM and Firestone denied there was any warranty coverage. Since then, new Les Schwab tires failed at about the same mileage. Something is obviously not right with this vehicle, and this condition is also an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety. Finally, last week my front passenger wheel cracked. I have not hit anything significantly hard with that wheel - but it is nonetheless cracked. This is also obviously defective and an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety.

SERVICE BRAKES
Issue with Power Braking System. Has longer than normal stopping distance when braking. Hissing noise coming from Power Brake Pump under the hood. Loses air pressure in brakes very easily. We are afraid to drive this vehicle because this will eventually cause a crash. Mechanic stated this is a known issue with these vehicles of this Year/Make/Model and was on the recall list. This is a known issue that shows reports online my vehicle has issues/recalls on but for some reason my VIN isn't showing the recall. There is no warning message lit up on the dashboard. Mechanic was able to check the OBD computer to pull a code of (C0299-00). I have reached out to a Chevrolet dealership who is supposed to be looking into this for me but I wanted to reach out to you guys as well.

POWER TRAIN
The transmission jerks a lot, especially when taking off. I know 4 more people that drive a Suburban, Silverado, and Yukon, and all of them had to change the transmission before 100k miles. The dealer doesn't want to fix it, cause the warranty expired, but how is it fair for us consumers to pay 60k for a car that only lasts 5 years? When I called the dealer, even the technician agreed that they have a lot of problems with the transmission and are booked a few weeks ahead just to take a look at it. Please advise. Thank you.

The contact called on behalf of his daughter who owns a 2019 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle began to shake and lost motive power. The driver pulled over to the side of the road and turned off the vehicle. The contact noticed that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the contact was informed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while driving 5-10 MPH, the vehicle was jerking and there was friction in the vehicle motion. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle would emit abnormal sounds while driving. The contact stated after the vehicle had jerked 4-5 times on the same occasion the vehicle would operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that no issues were found. However, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who diagnosed that the transmission fluid was dirty, had a burnt smell, and there were metal fragments in the transmission fluid. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000. The VIN was not available.

STEERING, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
I have three occasions where I have been turning and my steering wheel locks up and is very hard to turn. I almost crashed twice. I have three young children in the car. I could not get out of the way fast enough but luckily avoided a crash.
