While I was on vacation in Gatlinburg TN my vehicle parked in my home garage turned on by itself producing carbon monoxide in my property I reached out numerous times to GM and they failed to do anything about it. I have footage please assist thanks.

ENGINE
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was smoke coming from the engine compartment. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway to inspect the vehicle. After a visual inspection of the engine compartment, the contact observed that the #5 and #6 spark plugs had burned and melted. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the high-pressure fuel pump causing the vehicle to run lean, resulting in damages to the engine and spark plugs. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed by the dealer that the manufacturer was no longer producing the 6.2-liter V8 engine for the year, make, and model. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 35,000.

Overview: Beginning sometime in 2020, the coating of the rearview inside mirror began to degrade and lose its reflective capability. By [XXX] visibility through the mirror was so bad that I had to have it replaced by the local Chevy dealership. Because it was out of warranty, I had to pay $453.93 out of pocket. The vehicle was unsafe to drive due to the mirror's degraded condition. 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Rearview interior mirror 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I could not see clearly in the rearview mirror. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Many other drivers have reported the same issue with this model on the Corvette forum (see [XXX] ) Also, Sunrise Chevrolet in Collierville, TN confirmed the mirror was defective and replaced it at my expense. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? WHEELS
Overview - November 2022, my 2016 Covette Stingray vibrated badly at highway speeds, that I took it into the Sunrise Chevrolet Buick GMC dealership in Collierville, TN to investigate the cause. They made videos showing 3 of the 4 wheels (not tires) were warped. This is my second car (rarely driven), so I was quite surprised. Chevy was out of stock and the vehicle was out of warranty, so I had to replace all 4 wheels using after-market parts that had to be shipped to the dealership at total cost of $3,400.58. A few weeks after the wheels were replaced, I noticed the vibration was still occurring at highway speeds, so I returned it to the same dealership on Jan 3rd, 2023. The dealership said that the transmission fluid had to be replaced with a "new design" to prevent the shaking at my expense for a total of $1,066.10. The problem is so well-known, that it's called the "Chevy Shake" on the Corvette forum. I feel that Chevrolet has put my safety at risk twice in 2022 with a faulty mirror (I files a separate complaint for that), the faulty tires, and the faulty transmission fluid.

I purchased this car from a dealer in Sarasota Florida. Driving it home from the dealer, I was driving approximately 70 mph on [XXX] near Sarasota. The vehicle suddenly braked and pulled to the left simultaneously. I have taken it to a repair shop that specializes in Corvettes, and trying to ID the problem. In doing research, evidently it is related to the active handling system. There is a recall NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V172000 Manufacturer GENERAL MOTORS CORP. Vehicle is leaving a strong gas order inside and around the vehicle. This issue is currently awaiting to be inspected but for the meantime, it’s parked inside a garage where it completely fills the area with said odor. This is particularly unsafe due to our water heater also being located in this section of the house. Gas smell first appeared about a month ago and had consistently releasing these vapors. I’ve seen that GM has released a service bulletin for a short period of time but hasn’t officially recalled the fuel issue (faulty fuel system).

Periodically the Instrument Cluster(Speed, Tach and other gauges) goes black. When this happens you have know knowledge of any information about the vehicle speed, etc.. This lasts a variety length of times, but no longer that about 1minute. The instrument cluster then reappears, but usually will go out again in a few minutes. A message appears, "Service Instrument Cluster'" This will happens 4 or 5 times in a period of around 10 minutes then it will never happen again the rest of the current drive. This may not happen again for a couple of months of driving then it does it again.

Developed fuel leak above left side tank coming from known faulty fuel pump connector elbow at top of tank. Extreme gas fumes prevent parking in garage for fear of vapors igniting causing an explosion. Can not rule out possibility of drips or spray hitting hot exhaust. Will be seeking repair asap as this is not safe to drive or park in enclosed environment.

After refilling my car with gas, there was a strong fuel smell. As the fuel level dropped, the smell of gas went away. With this fuel smell there were strong vapors in my garage. I had to open the garage doors and let the garage air out before starting any of my vehicles I have in the garage. It got to the point I had to part the Corvette outside. I finally took it to a mechanic (Christain Brothers Automotive Huntsville Alabama), they found the fuel boost pump (driver's side) was cracked on top. I did not have the tools or capability to change the boost pump.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
2024 Corvette included AEB. Window sticker shows AEB included. Build code shows AEB in build. Car one month old 650 miles. The sales dealership and second GM dealership communications with GM tech reads system as OK. BUT DOES NOT WORK. GM system tech says system reads OK BUT THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING HAS NEVER ASSISTED OAR APPLIED ONE OUNCE F BRAKES SINCE I BOUGHT IT 12/06/2024. I reported to GM consumer complaints and they keep reading from a script "if system check says vehicle is performing to specs, etc." BUT THE VEHICLE IS NOT PERFORMING TO SPECS. The AEB is not working at all. GMs refusal to address the problem is completly unsafe and unacceptable.

The other day from my garage i smelled a overtaking smell of gas coming from my 2008 Corvette with only 22,300 miles on it. I thought it was coming from my gas cap , so i replace the cap. Replacing the gas cap didn't help there was still a overwhelming gas smell coming from the left side of the car. I also notice when the gas tank drops below a 1/2 tank the smell seams to go away. I found out there are hundreds of complaints about this issue and that there was a special coverage adjustment issued covering this problem with the Primary Tank Module Flange Fuel and Vapor Leaks for a limited time and miles. I believe such a serious safety issue there should have been a recall to fix this problem by GM regardless of time and mileage. I have taken the car to Chevrolet dealer which has confirmed the problem.

STEERING
The electric power-steering assist is failing while my vehicle is in motion. I lose power steering and have to use significantly more effort and may lead to a crash, at any speeds. I was driving on the highway when this happened, although it has happened at slower, neighborhood speeds. When this happens, I see a warning message on the dashboard stating the power-steering assist failed and service power steering, drive with caution and the steering is all non-power steering. At times, when I stop the car, and turn the power off, and re-start the car, the power steering works again for a short period of time, and then fails again. This is extremely dangerous. I cannot find any recalls on my car VIN # for this issue for the 2014 Corvette, but see the exact symptoms for the 2017 Corvette (GM' number for this recall is N182182760). Help....please!

WHEELS, SERVICE BRAKES
Front wheels are defective confirmed by certified GM dealership which causes unsafe operation of vehicle. Even though wheels are in pristine condition GM will not cover replacement wheels under their warranty. I spoke with GM about the service bulletins they put out regarding the 2020&2021 castings issues with those wheels causing the same complaints however GM still won’t cover their apparent manufacturer’s issues with faulty wheel castings. Installing replacement OEM wheels from GM still will cause a significant safety issue with the vehicles irregular wear if tires and steering issues with these oblong wheels. No warning system notifications were prompted by the vehicle just a significant front end vibration also verified by GM corvette technician. Technician video taped wheels on a wheel balancing machine where it is visually apparent they are oblong. Purchasing aftermarket forged wheels that come with a full warranty instead of using the OEM GM wheels which are still clearly defective and will cause safety issues to include a possible loss of life with this issue they won’t even look into or take responsibility. Also rear brakes made a thumping noise after washing vehicle and parking it with the emergency brake set. Vehicle was looked at by corvette technician in conjunction with above stated wheel issue. GM corrected issue by tech driving vehicle for unspecified amount of time and called it repaired under their guidelines. No replacement of rotor, brake pads, calipers or any other part associated with this issue stated by customer service representative. I was told to not use the emergency brake or problem could arise again. I insisted that there is an issue with the braking system and wanted replacement parts installed under the manufacturers warranty but was denied and told No issue exists. EBrake is provided on vehicles as a safety mechanism and there is a significant problem with this system on this vehicle that GM won’t take responsibility!

Fuel pump module leaking fuel causing fuel to drip onto the exhaust pipe. Potential fire hazard to occupants and occupants of area it is parked near. Yes the dealer and repair shop have confirmed it has cracked when it should not. It has only been inspected by the repair shop due to immediate safety concern. The symptoms were a very strong fuel odor and a puddle of fuel on the ground in the beginning of November.

The contact owned a 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the steering wheel seized, with the steering column warning light illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and became aware that the steering wheel was difficult to turn. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 21,000.
