FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The contact owns a 2022 Cadillac XT6. That contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, another vehicle suddenly came in front of the vehicle and depressed the brake pedal, and the braking assist failed to activate. The contact owns a 2024 Cadillac XT6. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V459000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the steering wheel had seized, and the instrument panel failed to function as needed. In addition, the contact had received a service alert via the Cadillac App that the ABS had failed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where a system update was performed. The vehicle was repaired temporarily, and the check engine warning light illuminated again. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer where a system update was performed at Cadillac of Naperville (1507 W Ogden Ave, Naperville, IL 60540). The contact stated that the parts to complete the recall associated with the vehicle were not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Also, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission erroneously switched from the automatic mode to the manual mode and the vehicle would not remain in the proper gear. Rear camera stopped working. Normally when car was put in Reverse the rearview camera would show you what is behing your car. This camera stopped working in this car. When in reverse a red triangke pops uo indicating some type of malfunction and a red circle with a camera inside with a line going across indicatimg there in no camera. It was working the day before fine and it just stopped working the next day. There is no physical damage to camera or car in general.

P2BB3The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Fuel Management System used to maintain, control and monitor fuel consumption. If the check engine light is flashing, a misfire condition has been detected. A misfire increases vehicle emissions and could damage the emission control system on the vehicle. Please reduce vehicle speed, avoid hard accelerations, avoid steep uphill grades, and reduce any cargo loads such as a trailer.

The vehicle's check engine light came on late afternoon and then started with a delayed turn over, but not actually starting thr following day. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. The technician and service advisor commented immediately that it is likely the fuel pump control module. With the commentary about the likely cause was that this is a widespread issue among GM vehicles. Thankfully, the vehicle was at home when it stopped starting but the transition from check engine to stopping operation was almost immediate.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
In April 2023 I was backing out of a parking space when a message displayed on the dash that “The Parking Assist Have Been Blocked, See Owner’s Manual “. In this event there were pedestrians walking behind my vehicle and if not for my cautions always while backing could have caused an accident. This has since been intermittently happening and I have taken it in to the dealer 2 times without repair.

STEERING
I bought cadillac XT6 four months ago . Last week i noticed that car steering lock when turning right on highway over 25mph. I went to the empire cadillac of long island city (NY). Mechanic took test drive with me and even he noticed that there is some problem. After keeping my car 2 days they said they did not find anything. I ask them to change the steering motor but mechanic said they know better than me. I picked up my car and same problem is there. Locking steering on highway is very dangerous. Please help

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The problem is the fuel pump control module is faulty and broke twice now. The car was purchased in 2021, new. Within months the fuel pump control module failed while I was driving in traffic, in an elementary school zone with children all around. I tried to drive through an intersection when without warning the car abruptly stopped causing the cars behind me to swerve to avoid a collision. Good samaritans had to push it far out of the way due to the children crossing. I was told by Sawgrass Cadillac that it was the fuel pump control module that has a short starving the car for fuel without warning because it is an electrical issue. It was fixed, until July 4, 2023 when again while in traffic the engine light came on, the car shuddered and then abruptly stopped. Cars around me swerved, nearly colliding into me with my daughter in the car. Sawgrass Cadillac again said it is the fuel pump control module that they are looking to replace it again. This is a design failure, one that is well known and documented all over the internet. This design needs to be recalled before someone is killed because if I had made it to the highway and this happened who knows what could have happened. I will not drive the car, it is a life safety issue that is cannot be repaired away, it needs to be completely redesigned. The dealer is aware, but you can contact them for further information. My lift gate would open by itself when I put the car in park. It would also open overnight while parked in the garage. When I discovered it open, the battery had ran down. Opening while in park happened about 6 times.

I purchased a 2023 Cadillac XT6 .the issue is when I SHIFT into reverse at night the back up camera get very dim and it is very hard to see anything thru the rear display. Cadillac say's it is working as designed. .They are correct. I tried this on other Cadillac XT6 car and same issue. There is a safety issue it is VERY dim. I tried a Buick,, and Chevy and they both worked great I could see at night in a dim Garage .All ALL they say is "it is working as designed". This answer does not fix a safety issue that is required to work in ALL cars. It is very hard to see what is behind me. The dealer has seen it and admits there is a design issue. However they can only tell Cadillac that "it is working as designed

I have a Cadillac 2023 XT6 When I put the car in reverse in the daytime the Back up camera display works fine. If it is at night,Raining, or during any hours of the day like in a garage the display dims .It is hard to see a person behind you or any poles. When shifting into Reverse, it is bright then it goes dim. I brought it in to the dealer and they gave me a Chevy loaner and that works great and my last car worked great. The dealer checked everything, Ans I was told "it is working to spec" although they see an issue that they can't fix.

During a drive at about 40 MPH down a straight, dry two-lane, something went wrong and it decided to encourage me to drive into the ditch, steering me directly off the road. It was consistent, and when I found a stretch with a wide shoulder to see what would happen, it took me unerringly to the right, onto the dirt. For me, it was unnerving and distracting, but I could only imagine what would have happened to an elderly driver with a loose grip on the wheel.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
My wife was backing at less than 2 and hit a truck behind her. She said no alarms sounded, the only thing she heard was noise of hitting a truck behind her. No police called or report made. When car was repaired the repair shop (Fields Collision, Jacksonville FL) they took my 2023 Cadillac to Fields Cadillac for final check out. Fields Cadillac said there were no sensors in rear bumper to alert driver. Fields Cadillac said there is only plugs in rear bumper. I contacted the dealership (DIMMITT Cadillac in Clearwater) where I purchased the vehicle and they say the car was checked out and all sensors were working but on my way home I noticed the blind side warning did not work so I took the car to Fields Cadillac for this to be fixed, so I know the car was not tested. I would like someone from GM look at the warning system and tell me it is safe.
