FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Over the past 2 weeks there have been multiple (5+ times in one day) instances of phantom breaking both using adaptive cruise control and autopilot. This often happens when approaching a bridge but also in areas where bridges are not present. Sometimes the sun may be towards the front of the car, sometimes not. Luckily no collisions, but the sudden breaking is a safety hazard and prevents the use of the car’s advanced features that are meant to reduce driver fatigue.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
My vehicle has issues correctly identifying forward collisions. There are moments the car produces "phantom forward collision warnings" of objects or people not in the same lane (such as a pedestrian on a sidewalk or a car far outside of a safe stopping distance. However, there are other instances where I would expect a forward collision warning and receive none at all. This is exasperated by environmental factors and road conditions. "Tesla Vision" with camera-only detection seems to be highly unreliable based on the environmental factors (such as amount of daylight) or road conditions (speed bumps, construction areas, etc).

STEERING, SUSPENSION
On Tuesday, May 16, I was driving on a city road at about 45mph when I began to hear metal noises coming from the front of my car. I slowed down and entered a shopping center driveway to inspect the noise. Upon pulling into the driveway of that center, I heard a metal snapping sound, my steering wheel jerked to the right, and grinding sounds started at the front axle of the car. I stopped immediately. Realizing something broke, I wanted to get out of the driveway, and tested if it would move in all directions. Ultimately, I could get the car to get straight at low speed, but if I attempted to steer left or right, the grinding would occur. I moved my car to a safe location and called Tesla Roadside Service to get towed to their service facility. There were no warning messages from the car before or after the incident. Had the part broken while traveling at higher speeds, or a winding road, I could have easily been involved in a deadly incident. I got lucky! I heard similar sounds from the same area about 4 months ago, and took the car in for service. Tesla service replaced the lower left hand front suspension link, lateral link and stabilizer bar on February 28, 2023. I do not have the details of all the parts replaced for this latest incident yet, as it is still at Tesla Service awaiting a replacement "Subframe Assembly Kit" according to my service rep. Lastly, I was not involved in an accident when this occurred, nor have I ever been involved in an accident in this vehicle.

WHEELS:RIM
The 21 inches uberturbine wheel breaks to easy with not too big road holes. It cause the tire to loose air pressure and can cause a serious accident. The machine shop has a lot of them to be repaired. For the money it cost, it should have a better quality wheel.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Tesla Model Y adaptive Cruise control was engaged while on an expressway; there were no cars in sight in front of me and very light traffic about 1000 feet behind me; the distance was set to 4 car lengths. I was steering from the travel lane to an exit lane, with feet off of the pedals. While steering from travel lane to exit lane, the adaptive cruise control suddenly braked, and the car reduced speed from 65 to 45 mph before I took over and applied the gas. The braking was sudden with no warning given.

Hi Team, I bought a new car Model Y- [XXX] from Tesla on 27 Dec 2022 and after driving 50 miles itself with in 3 days, I reported so many manufacturing issues to Tesla in my new Car. All the issues that I have reported at that time either all of them are still open or while fixing any of those issues it caused even more issues in my car. As of now I have given my car 5-6 times to them for service so they may fix them but still all those issues either still exists or not fixed well. I am fed up giving my new car back to them for servicing and booking appointments & visiting them. Initially one of their employee gave me a confirmation that he is working with Tesla to buy back my car but then after 30 days I got to understand that Tesla employee is no more working with Tesla and have been fooling around me. I am not sure what kind of customer service, assurance does Tesla provides to its customer and how they working towards resolving those issues. I have paid $68000 to buy this car- and I feel like I am driving a car which got lot of design issues and I feel like I paid for new car and I am driving a 2nd hand car. It so much noise and rattle in my car and that also started to come after they tried to fix issues in my car. So, I am no more interested to get the issues fixed in a factory fitted car rather should have a new car or should get a full refund of the car. I am attaching a PDF of email thread that is going on from last 2-3 months with Tesla service employee and still they just want me to keep coming and giving my car to them. I don't have any more trust on them. Attach PDF shows all the issues and how they are just wanting me to spend time and keep explaining the same issues to them. The new model y froze in the middle of an interstate Highway indicating it was shutting itself down and not driveable. It took only 30seconds from 60 miles per hour to completely inoperable and stopped itself in traffic. Currently the mileage of this car is only 12 miles and I drove only 7 miles about 20 minutes after the we picked up the car. Tesla service told me it was a rear motor inverter issue. There are many incidents of similar occurrences people report online. Luckily we were saved by some quick thinking driver who called 911, while we were anxiously trying to contact tesla service. The police parked his cruiser to shield us from the fast moving traffic.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Phantom Braking while driving interstate 15 on May 8, 2023 at 11:15 AM. No other cars were within a half mile in front or behind. Car went from 70mph with hard braking until I took control to regain speed. Had there been other vehicles behind me, it could have resulted in a rear end collision. Reported to Tesla today, May 15th, but told there is no fix. I have not used the Autopilot feature much at all, since most driving is short city trips. I do not intend to use this feature for safety concerns.

The contact owns a 2023 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH with the cruise control feature activated, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated without the brake pedal being depressed. The contact corrected the failure by depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacture was not notified of the failure. The failure was approximately 3,950.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The USB charging plug inside the middle console burned my charger causing smoke inside the cabin. Tesla has rescheduled the appt once already and doesn't seem to be a concern to them. This is a huge safety concern as it could have caused a fire if items were near this USB plug.

Leaving Mothers day dinner at Disney Orlando with all 3 generations of family in the car and I click 'Home' and the map sets a charging station in Miami 120miles away in the wrong direction, the FSD and AP wont work and the cars gps goes completely black. That doesn't even make sense, there was the Hooter's supercharger down the street and several others in Miami and probably a dozen more between Disney and Miami. If I wasn't a professional driver I fear this many bugs and susceptibilities could kill my entire lineage. Texting and driving is illegal and dangerous, that's got nothing on a malfunctioning Tesla screen while driving main street Disney. Look out [XXX] there's a new kid on the block, [XXX] doesn't need a tunnel to disappear your whole family. He can do it in broad daylight on mainstreet Disney in front of the police, God and the NHTSA and after you report it 30 times nobody will do anything about it. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I own a 2021 Tesla Model Y. I took possession of it on August 7, 2021, in Santa Barbara, Ca. Ever since, I have had thousands of instances of automatic emergency braking (phantom braking) episodes while using cruise control or autopilot. On January 26, 2022, I had 47 documented episodes, in just two hours. The experiences of severe phantom braking have been terrifying. The car often slams on its brakes for no apparent reason, many times on a four lane highway, or on a freeway with no cars or obstacles. I worry about getting rear-ended, which could end in severe injury or death. It has been in for repair five times, and the technicians are animate that a software update is coming very soon to resolve this problem (they've been promising that since a few weeks after taking possession of the Tesla). I expected the problem to be resolved by now. It hasn't. The AEB continues today. Can you please force Tesla to fix this problem immediately? It is very dangerous. Please provide a response identifying actions you are taking to resolve this very important safety matter.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Tesla purposely disabled sensors to warn when close to objects (curb, other vehicles, garage door opening & wall). I wasn’t informed that there will be no parking assist feature indefinitely when I spoke to sakes dept.Tesla says it is still developing cameras to replace sensors. I had a 2015 tesla, which had these warnings. Before that I had a2002 Jaguar with park sensors. It is not new. Because of lack of reliable sensors, I am afraid to use any of Tesla’s driver assistance features. I was told by service manager that sensors only “see” a few feet, while cameras can see infinitely. This is doubtful. But at this point, I have neither. In fact, when parking in tight places, “infinite” camera vision would be useless. Seeing that I’m inches away from an obstacle is useful.I have been told that when a car comes in for Tesla service and still has sensors, the sensors are removed without the owner’s knowledge.

SERVICE BRAKES
Our car experienced unexpected and sudden braking on 3 occasions. #1: We were in cruise control (cc) and the car was going through a town and the brakes were applied suddenly (5/4/23). It accelerated again on its own. The other two incidents were on 5/8/23) #2: In CC, on a two lane highway. Tesla passed a semi in opposite direction (had plenty of clearance) and car braked suddenly. We were no where close to the semi. #3: Not in CC, on a 4 lane highway, we moved over into another lane to give a bicycle clear berth. Car braked suddenly. In #2 and #3 we had passed other semis and bicycles in tighter situations and braking did not occur. No accident occurred altho we had a car behind us in #2. Will be bringing car into Tesla on 5/20/23 to have them look at the car.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
On April 28th i was driving to work as usual in my tesla model y , and i am on a local road driving around 40-45 miles speed. I was always maintaining enough stopping distance and on one of the local road, a driver before me stopped abruptly because of Garbage Trash Can came and hit her car. I braked immediately and expected Tesla will stop before only but seems tesla did not brake till last second and i ended up pulling to the right most side to avoid collision and i ended up hitting Pole to save hitting any humans to the best of my ability to save lives. My biggest concern is why tesla emergency brake did not apply for forward collision? what went wrong? As far as i remember i put the brakes and it did not stop. if this happened on highway on higher speeds, my life would have costed along with others. Can we get this investigated with Tesla? i reached out to them no one cares to respond. Less than 2 minutes into my drive the car decided to disable lane keep assistance and warnings for no reason. As you can see in the photo linked below the vehicles in the oncoming lane are lagging and look kind of like a ghost car while the rest of the screen is totally fine. Well all I did was switch from the middle lane to the left lane like I do everyday with my indicator on, on my way to McDonalds. Absolutely no reason why this happened like I mentioned I had my indicator on nobody was around me and visibility is perfect. For the last 8 months I've been reporting this FATAL error where my Tesla in FSD with location set will slow down all the way to 0mph in a 70mph zone on the expressway for a stop sign and round about under the highway that is not visible by ANY of the cameras the car is supposedly using to 'read the environment' well that's a load of crap because its stopping for non existent stop signs and driving 57mph in a 70mph zone and misses several speed signs in the video. Biggest mistake Tesla ever made was not hiring me. Tesla has amateur's and liars that will do anything for an extra buck even if it means killing you and your family with a car that was put together by robots and slaves with your tax dollars. Zero ethics. When Elon says "May the 4th be with you" he really means "I hope you get killed by the dumptruck behind you while I slam the brakes on the highway". Modern day techno-hitler. After the car couldn't drive me into oncoming traffic and put me out of my misery; I reset the car and then all the safety features were disabled again, the car couldn't see the solid white freshly painted lanes during the middle of the day with perfect visibility. As I approached the red light I demonstrated how the Tesla has no collision warning or assistance enabled although they are features advertised on the car that I paid for. Once again not a coincidence. Tesla has refused or is incapable of repairing this Frankenstein's monster covid Tesla it needs to be Totaled under lemon law. All the windows are from different countries FFS. Also the doors are sagging and scratching the base of the car but Tesla is also completely blind on that one too, go figure! They've also illegally tracked me home and to the grocery store but that's just what I can prove, I'm sure they've broken more privacy laws than just that. From a simple Google search you can discover how Tesla employees use the car footage to spy on you in your own home and pass around nude photos of you on internal company email and messenger apps. Once again I caught on video my car trying to suicide me (a Jeffrey Epstein (not a typo I'm in fear for my life) witness) by turning off all safety features and attempting to drive me directly into oncoming traffic. Tesla has REFUSED to repair or replace my car. They have done EVERYTHING they can to prevent me from getting service for months. Reschedule after reschedule, 'we cant reproduce the problem' and 'the car is fixed' after recording them doing NOTHING on hidden camera for 3 days besides unplugging my dashcam after I told them on my IG that I was recording them and they agreed because its clearly posted on the door used to enter and unplug the camera. This is racketeering, tampering with a witness and attempted murder not to mention conspiracy to defraud the US Government with false advertisements to convince blind and corrupt politicians to give Elon ANOTHER round of government subsidies even though co2 isn't the problem, METHANE is! As you can see in the video the cars path is stuck in the ":Kill yourself with oncoming traffic" mode. Since the day I got it the Tesla hasn't been able to identify emergency vehicles with their lights on. I started video taping after like the 20th time because my dashcam cant show you the screen also. I did this strictly to display that the Tesla failed to identify a State Trooper with his lights on for several hundred feet with 'Full Self Driving' enabled. Just to be clear the car is on the current software update and has ALWAYS been up to date. Tesla is once again lying about the cars capabilities and putting innocent Police officers and random civilians at risk of serious bodily injury or death.
