So here goes my story back in may I bought Tesla model 3 2022 46k from hertz clean title however, in the history, it showed a prior accident Long story short one day I was charging at Tesla supercharger I drive home the car did update and after that it wouldn’t charge or going in to drive so of course the car has warranty. I sent it to Tesla service first time. Coral cables The response was oh this car had an accident we can’t touch it the second service center after a week of diagnostic and charging me $590 for no help at all and the response to my issue first was because of the accident but when I was able to prove that the car was driving when I bought it and nothing wrong, they blamed it on the supercharger tesla supercharger that it overheated the batteries and now the motor and the high voltage battery needs to be replaced at my own expense, at no time the car told me pull over it could’ve caught on fire ,no warranty at all when I asked service why I didn’t see that me charging the car is overheating the batteries he said it’s internal warning messages this is at Miami Gardens service center Now I have been experiencing and Tesla‘s and how to do service and how they work and I’m pretty sure I can see that they are clearly I don’t want to say a lying , but they are not honoring their own warranty and they just want to blame it on me now keep in mind that I’ll myself. I am a read. The reason there is at least 20 or 30 people driving a Tesla right now. I was the first person in my own community. I was the first person in my office and everybody when they saw that car with me and how I love it, they decided to buy it but when I needed help, unfortunately Tesla was not there for me I have proof that the Pyro fuse is working condition not like it what is states in the estimate and also the rear inverter is in working condition

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
While using cruise control on an interstate road trip, the emergency braking system repeatedly caused the vehicle to slow excessively to where I was almost rear ended. This occurred approximately 15 times over a period of 3 hours. While traveling at 75 mph, the vehicle almost came to a complete stop on the interstate and almost caused accidents. There was no object in front of me or vehicle that should have caused the braking system to engage. Tesla owners call this “phantom braking” and after experiencing it so many times while on my road trip, I believe this is a very serious issue that needs to be investigated further. I do not feel safe using the cruise control any longer because of this issue.

The Tesla in vehicle navigation notified to turn the incorrect direction on to Canal Rd NW Washington, DC 20057 during one-way operation of the reversable parkway. The turn was notified from Clark Pl NW where there was no visual notification of the traffic being one-way. This culminated in a near head on collision in a 40 mph zone.

There is a design defect in the Tesla Model 3 which causes moisture to accumulate in the air filters. The filters then sit wet and develop mold and mildew. The first replacement was needed within the first 2 months of vehicle ownership. When the heat / air is turned into the on position, this fowl air is distributed to passengers in an enclosed environment and it becomes a health hazard, especially to those with preexisting respiratory issues. This is an ongoing problem with the soiled air filters requiring constant replacement. A Tesla mobile service agent confirmed that Tesla engineering team is aware of the issue, but hasn't come up with a permanent solution. The service agent stated they are spending tens of thousands of dollars in replacements filters and that a majority of his service calls are to replace the mildewed filters. The problem is Tesla continues to charge people to replace the filter with no solution for fixing the problem.

Rear Drive Unit Inverter failed and left me stranded on a busy highway on the shoulder. Waited an hour for tow truck to arrive. Car had about 3000 miles on it. Car was fixed under warranty but shouldn't be having an issue with a car that is relatively new. Searching through forums, I have encountered a lot of people having the same issue.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Scenario 1: Driving mid day in hot weather in desert highway with rolling hills and cruise control activated. Upon cresting a ridge with mirages the car slams on the brakes until the mirage dissipates. Also as another car approaches and its reflection is bounced back from the mirage in the road surface the car slams on the brake until the reflection shifts or the mirage dissipates. Scenario two: Driving on freeway mid day in warm weather and brightly illuminated freeway and approaching dark shadows under an overpass. The car slams on the brakes until closer to the overpass. 20-40 mph deceleration noted. The specific freeway section had a slight descending roadway leading into the shadow and then ascended on the other side so that a continuing road surface was not immediately visible beyond the shadow.

We have experienced several episodes of the car suddenly breaking for no reason when using cruise control. The speed is very quickly reduced a good 15 mph without warning.this is not only very alarming as drivers/passengers but it is incredibly dangerous. If there was a car following closely behind us, they would have hit us.

On July 6th, at 6:42pm, while driving 70 MPH on California Highway 152, on a clear day (88 degrees F), with no traffic around our car, the car slammed on the brakes, taking the speed from 70 MPH to 46 MPH in a period of 5 seconds (with most braking in the first couple seconds). I was using the cars' built-in Autopilot system. The car did the same thing about 2 minutes earlier, so we happened to have been recording a video of the cars operation when it happened this second time. The car did the same exact behavior on June 29th at 10:30am, on the same highway but different location. It was also a sunny day, and there were (thank goodness) no cars near us when it happened. That time, it braked so hard it triggered the ABS system.

This incident happened as a result of the Smart Auto Summon feature failed in Tesla. I paid so much for the technology to work but it failed multiple times which is acceptable as I know the FSD and Auto Summon is in beta program but they way this incident happened, it definitely has to do something with either their Camer system, sensor or may be the hardware needs to be upgraded. Imagine if it had hit to some person. I activated the Auto Summon feature to call my Tesla in a parking lot. Regrettably, during the maneuver, my vehicle collided with a pole, damaging the car. It was a big pole. I have all the videos, and if needed, i can provide you with more details here ( Videos and Witnesses) . I have reached out to Tesla but looks like they are not even bothered about this incident and don't want to do anything and blame myself for this incident.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was driving on a divided highway in the right hand lane out of two lanes. To the right was a grassy berm. To the left of the road was a grassy median. I was driving with the adaptive cruise control enabled and set to about 70MPH. Full self driving was not enabled. There were no vehicles or other obstacles visible ahead or to the sides, no vehicles following. Without any reason I could perceive, the vehicle abruptly decelerated rapidly. I pressed my foot on the accelerator pedal and the car stopped decelerating and resumed normal operation at roughly 40MPH. If another vehicle had been following me, the unexpected rapid deceleration could have resulted in a collision. This vehicle is a rental car owned by Hertz, and I have not had the vehicle inspected or diagnosed by any dealer, service center, the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. The Alert log in the vehicle computer showed at 6:16pm, code EPBL_a180: Emergency brake applied (see attachment).

My car was set on navigate on autopilot, and normally it decreases speed when detecting change in speed limit. But for last couple of times, it's been not decreasing speed. On july 4th, 2023, I was driving and it did not change the speed limit based on the changes on the road. The speed limit had changed from 60 to 55, and it didn't change in the car. Also, Tesla just abruptly slowed down multiple times without any warning. There's no obstruction in the road, but it just keeps slowing down without a reason. Like the speed limit would be 45, and it's slowed down to 20. The car ahead is faster, and no one is walking across. it's just random.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
Tesla has serious safety issues automatic emergency, braking Blindspot warning, Lane, departure warning, and other basic safety features which are very common in the cars these days. I purchased Tesla for my teenage child. In past three months we have encountered multiple instances where Tesla was not able to perform as promised this morning I was driving tesla loaner Vehicle when I was heading to pick up my car and someone drifted into my lane without warning and Tesla did not apply emergency brakes or generated any warning signals. I have notified Tesla service about the incident and past incidents to tesla service representative. Tesla representative at Costa Mesa office opened the service request to get the software diagnosis completed so that they can get to the bottom of it, but [XXX] from Irvine office called me and he is in denial that it is a car issue and blame it on me that it is between the car and the car owners manual, I have requested an escalation from Tesla service Center. In the meantime, I am filing this complaint so that NHTSA can start their investigation before. It is too late and some life is lost because of irresponsible behavior by Tesla and send in selling the features which do not work I have Lexus RX 350, 2017 model and all these features work seamlessly in the car , I am shocked Tesla is falsifying and and selling inaccurate features to the consumers which cannot be discovered until it is too late. The contact owns a 2022 Tesla Model 3. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware of an excessive amount of fluid underneath the vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle started to overheat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the HVAC system had caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.
