The windshield is cracked for the 3rd time without anything hitting it. The past 2 times i have taken it to the Dealer for repair and made them aware of it. I have receipts in my possession showing the cost of replacement from my previous 2 windshields i have replaced from the dealership. Currently the windshield cracked yesterday while it was parked on 6/6/21. No damage to the vehicle was noticed prior to this time. This will be the 3rd windshield i will have to replace at my own cost. I am worried about my safety after the fact the windshield has cracked 3 times and wonder if it's going to happen while I am driving. There was no prior warning for each time it has cracked.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and she was informed that due to her stature, the passenger’s side occupant sensor would not recognize her while seated in the passenger’s seat. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

A crack in my windshield appeared, seemingly over night, and is rapidly growing at an alarming rate. Because of the crack if I do not get this replaced soon my vision will be impeded. This is a problem the affects 2020 Subaru Imprezas and is a current class action law suit. It has not yet been inspected. And there were no prior warnings.

- #11417861May 20, 2021TIRES
Tiers are Yokohama P225/40R18 88V This vehicle now has slightly more than 8,000 miles and has only been driven over local roads under normal operating conditions and speeds. A couple of weeks ago, while getting gas, I noticed a knot/bulge developing on front driver's side sidewall. The integrity of the tire was compromised so I contacted the dealership and arranged to have the tire replaced. I can produce the dealership repair bill upon request. Yesterday while taking my wife to an appointment, I noticed a knot/bulge developing on rear driver's side sidewall requiring another trip to the dealership and another tire replacement. I can take a photo of bulge in rear tire or have dealership preserve the tire if you would like it for your investigation of my complaint. Fortunately I have the resources to have the tires repaired. In my case the bulges appeared in the sidewall visible to me. I knew that integrity of the tire was compromised and immediate action was necessary. I am more than 60 years old. I have owned several new cars and this is the first time I have experienced this. It is possible that other motorists encountering the same problem may not have the resources to purchase multiple replacement tires. It is also possible that the bulge might appear on the backside of the sidewall where it would not be noticed. It is possible that another motorist might not recognize the integrity of the tire was compromised and that their life and the lives of others were potentially at risk.

- #11417397May 17, 2021VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I experienced a sudden acceleration issue when parking my car in January 2020. As I was pulling into my parking spot and removed my foot from the gas pedal to the brake the gas pedal quickly went all the way to the floor and the car sped forward despite the fact that my foot was on the brake. The car was stopped by a large pile of snow. There was some damage to the bumper. Took the car to the dealership and was told they couldn't find any issue with the car. The problem only happened once to mee but I read of similar things happening with other makes and models of Subarus so I wanted to report it.

I purchased this car in January 2021 from the Mechanicsburg Faulkner dealership in PA. It was previously owned by one person. I am the second owner. On May 5, 2021, as I was getting into my car to drive to work, I noticed a crack on the right side of my windshield. Upon closer inspection, the crack appeared to have started from the very edge of the lower part of the windshield. Nothing fell on my car as it is kept secured in our garage.

WHO: DAUGHTER 16YO (DRIVER), FATHER (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT), DAUGHTER 14YO (DRIVER SIDE REAR SEAT). VEHICLE: 2020 SUBARU IMPREZA WHAT: SUBARU ANTI-COLLISION ENGAGED UNNECESSARILY WHEN: 0704 EST 14 MAY 2021 WHERE: 41°43'07.4"N 81°14'08.3" MY 16YO DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AND I WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. WE WERE HEADING EAST ON E WALNUT STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ABOUT TO CROSS THE S STATE STREET INTERSECTION. THERE WERE NO VEHICLES OR OBSTRUCTIONS IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE SUBARU ANTI-COLLISION BEGAN TO ALERT AND ABRUPTLY STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE BEHIND US HAD TO BRAKE ABRUPTLY BUT DID NOT HIT US. I BELIEVE THIS WAS DUE TO THE SUN BEING LOW ON THE HORIZON AND DIRECTLY IN THE CAMERA'S VIEW. THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME THE ANTI-COLLISION HAS ENGAGED UNNECESSARILY. THE EVENTS PRIOR TO THIS, I WAS DRIVING LESS THAN 35 MPH IN MODERATE TO HEAVY TRAFFIC AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME WAS EXITING THE ROAD CAUSING THE ANTI-COLLISION BRAKING TO ENGAGE.

THE KEY INTERMITTENTLY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION SWITCH WHEN THE GEARSTICK IS SET IN THE 'PARK' POSITION. THE CAR CAN BE TURNED OFF, BUT THE KEY CANNOT BE MOVED FORWARD INTO THE #1 POSITION (LOCK/OFF) AND CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION IN THE #2 POSITION (ACCESSORY). THIS SCENARIO RETAINS THE ELECTRICAL IN THE 'ON' POSITION WHICH POTENTIALLY DRAINS THE BATTERY AND FORCES THE DRIVER TO INDEFINITELY REMAIN WITH THE VEHICLE TO AVOID A DEAD BATTERY AND/OR VEHICLE THEFT. SUBARU HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS ISSUE IN SERVICE BULLETIN 16-112-18R (NHTSA ID NUMBER: 10155220). THE SUMMARY IS AS FOLLOWS: 'THIS BULLETIN ANNOUNCES A DESIGN CHANGE TO THE CVT SELECT LEVER (SHIFTER) MECHANISM IN RESPONSE TO ISOLATED CUSTOMER CONCERNS OF NOT BEING ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK. THE CAUSE IS CONTAMINATION OF THE PARK-RANGE SWITCH INTERNAL COMPONENTS.' MANY CONSUMERS BELIEVE THAT IF THIS PROBLEM WAS SERIOUS ENOUGH TO REQUIRE A REDESIGN TO THE CVT (CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION), THEN IT IS SERIOUS ENOUGH TO REQUIRE A RECALL.' PLEASE NOTE THAT EVEN THOUGH YOUR INCIDENT REPORT FORM REQUIRES THE USER TO SELECT "ONE DATE" WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED, THAT THIS INCIDENT IS ONLY THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OUT OF MULTIPLE OCCURRENCES. THE PROBLEM IS NOW ONGOING AND UNRESOLVED FROM THE REPORTED DATE FORWARD.
