  Flash: 6.4L Powertrain Diagnostic and System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. This bulletin fixes all vehicles listed and also contains an optional software path for situations where the customer is specifically complaining of a drone noise, shudder, pulsation, or vibration under light throttle applications, while vehicle is operating in Multi Displacement System/Economics (MDS/ECO)mode (optional software available for D2&DJ vehicles).There will be two separate software options displayed on the wiTECH flash tab. The software file released for this condition contains the verbiage ?MDS NOISE?. The other file is the standard software that does not contain improvements for the drone/shudder concern. If for some reason the customer finds this shudderimprovement objectionable, the PCM software may be returned/reflashed to the standard version.Both software versions will address the remaining conditions noted in the bulletin.A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that the following DTCs have been set:P1404 - EGR Close Position Performance. P0404 - EGR Position Sensor Performance. P0405 - EGR Position Sensor Circuit Low. P0406 - EGR Position Sensor Circuit High. P2172 ? High Airflow/Vacuum leak detected. P0870 - OD Hydraulic Pressure Test (66RFE Only). This software update also includes the following enhancements:Reduced downhill gear hunting when using cruise control. Reduced drone noise at minimum converter clutch operating speed. Reduced low speed drone noise. Improved Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve control at maximum desired lift. This will help reduce, long crank/start time. Improvements to engine idle quality such as rough idle after high altitude start and stability of engine RPM at idle.

  Pentastar Oil Filter Adapter All vehicles equipped with a 3.2L or 3.6L engine; If replacing the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA) due to a leak detected between OFA and block, an O-ring kit (68191356AA) is now available to repair OFA/Block Interface leaks. Using dye will assist in determining source of leak. Ensure OFA Cap Oring is seated in the proper groove in the cap and not damaged or cut. Engineering is seeking information regarding OFA leaks. CD player will not play songs and/or locks up the radio. ? The clock will not automatically update to local time. ? The clock may be off by several hours (RA3 only). ? HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). ? Some Uconnect App remote commands do not execute with the vehicle. ? Radio Apps are inoperative. ? Radio will lock up. Radio display screen is black or blank. Battery drain due to radio staying on.** Rearview Camera image appears jittery (UF vehicles only). Inability to establish a WiFi connection when security feature is enabled (UF vehicles only). Audio distortion/popping heard while playing Apple devices through the USB port (UF vehicles only). Remote Uconnect Apps functions (i.e. door locks, remote start) inoperative while the engine is running (UF vehicles only). HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles).   RA3 and RA4 Radio Enhancements This bulletin involves inspecting and if required, updating the radio software. Customers may experience one or more of the following:?Navigation Failed? message is displayed. Navigation is inoperative or inaccurate. CD player will not play songs and/or locks up the radio. Clock will not automatically update to local time. Clock may be off by several hours. (RA3 Only). HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). Some Uconnect App remote commands do not execute with the vehicle. Radio Apps are inoperative. Adds Apple Siri® Eyes Free capability for iPhone® owners. Auto Play can now be configured. Radio will lock up. Radio display screen is black or blank. Battery drain - due to radio staying on. Navigation failed message is displayed. Clock not automatically updating to local time. HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). Improvements:Adds Apple Siri Eyes Free capability for iPhone owners. Add the ability to drag and drop icons into the menu bar. Enhanced Voice Recognition (VR) performance. Media devices, phone pairing, and Bluetooth usage improvements. Improved tuner performance. Enhancements in Connectivity Apps (Yelp®, Pandora®, Aha®, etc). Human Machine Interface (HMI) improvements. Adds ?do not disturb? text message feature. Satellite radio reception improvements.

  Washer Fluid Level Sensor Prior to replacing this part due to "Low Washer Fluid" tell tale light on the dash and the washer fluid bottle is full, please perform this inspection: Check if float sensor is rotated off location from the bottle anti-rotation features that surround the SENSOR.
