The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that there was mold on the front passenger's side floor and underneath the front passenger's side seat. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was determined that water had leaked into the vehicle due to a clogged sunroof drain. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the front driver's side floor was soaking wet, and there was water underneath the front driver's side seat. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

POWER TRAIN
I have a 2010 Nissan Rouge that is having powertrain issues, specifically the CVT, three times, after driving a long distance in very hot weather, and then going on a long uphill grade, the vehicle lost power. It dropped from 70 to about 40mph, this happened on two interstates along the same stretch and a third time on a California state highway. I did some research and found that this is a common problem with the Rogues powertrain's CVT over several years and there was also a class action lawsuit for some years of this Rogue, but not for a 2010. Nissan did pay for some repairs on other years to the lawsuit claimants.

The problem started 3 months after purchase. It has a very loud noise that comes from the engine i think. It has been inspected by two different dealerships. Both insisted the noise was normal. After going more than 10 times to the dealership where i purchased my Rogue, i called nissan directly and open an investigation. Nissan sent an engineer and he said that the noise was weird but he didnt know what was going on. He also said that he was going to see if he could get me a discount for a new car. But nissan said no. I have a case number with nissan in case this is needed. This has been an issue that has been going on for two years now. Two years!! Then last month or so the check engine has been turning on and off. Today I went to make the inspection and the Rogue did not pass. And they told me the engine has fuel. After going to the inspection place the suv stopped working. It did not start. Had to call the dealership and I talked to person that has been checking the suv for the last two years and he said to take it to them. And I had to tow my Rogue to the dealership. It has been a very stressful experience and no one seems to care about this issue. My health and my safety is on the line. I don’t know what else to do or who to talk to. I hope you guys help. While driving on the highway at 75 mph my Nissan Rogue lost its ability to accelerate and maintain its speed while on cruise control. The CVT transmission has abruptly become faulty and now has internal issues according to Polo S Mechanic shop. This is a 6-year-old vehicle, and no warning signs were/are present. I would like this investigated.

AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE RPM WILL SKYROCKET AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD. WE HAVE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR A FEW HOURS BEFORE IT DRIVES NORMALLY AGAIN. LATELY THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BUCKING WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE.

Purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue with 95,000 miles on it back in the summer of 2021. currently has 102,00 miles. While travelling on the turnpike at 75 mph, the engine suddenly shut down and I began coasting until I stopped. Being in the left passing lane, I had to get over to the berm without getting hit by passing vehicles (2 nearly rear-ended me) because I was coasting slowly across two other lanes. Once stopped, the car would not restart. I started doing research as to why this happened. I needed a new part for the transmission per the Nissan Dealership. Nissan said I also needed an "engine cooler" for $1500 or it will happen again. This situation is a very well-known issue with this year of vehicle. It can happen with minimal mileage on it but usually when the tempos are in the 90's. Nissan knows about this because later models have these engine coolers installed. I could not afford $1500 and the extended warranty I purchased in 2021 did not cover it. This is a KNOWN issue and there needs to be a serious look at a Class-actions lawsuit. I paid for this part already and the car has been running fine.

There is mold and water leak in the sunroof and the roof next to the windows. When it rains There is water leak in my car from where you put your sun glass. It drips on my gear sticks. My car was completely wet and its smell and molding in the sun rooftop. The water stains and mold has been there for quite some time and this morning I literally got into the car and water was dripping in the car, my seat was wet and other places we wet.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION
I live in Melbourne Florida, when going to pick up the wife I turn on the ADAS as I was leaving the house and I got this message. Unavailable Camera Temperature High accompanied by the crash sign signal. This not only negated the blind spot warning, forward collision warning, lane departure warning but also then back-up camera. Also the sun also blocks the vision of the back-up camera Dealer said it was in the sun to long, but when I told him the collision icon was on he said to make an appointment to have it looked at. Appointment is August 10. Question: If these are safety devises shouldn't the work all the time.

Nissan is aware of this issue as referenced in TSB 21-097B where the windshield and roof leak water into the vehicle causing damage to the interior of the vehicle, including soaking/staining the headliner and water running down the sides of the interior of the vehicle and potentially causing electrical and safety problems. They have been aware of this issue on 2021-2023 Rogues for several years, put out a technical service bulletin, but have not proactively fixed any of the vehicles. When this happened, my wife experience intermittent connectivity issues with the Rogue.

Transmission stalling when engine is hot. Constantly having putting my entire family’s life in danger as when pressing the gas pedal it does not respond right away. Please make this a recall as so many people are having the same exact issue!! This is not an affordable fix! Nissan needs to make this right.

After further inspection, it’s along the top, where there is also rubber seals (which is now melted into the vehicle). This vehicle is 3 years old with 12,200 miles.

KNOWN issue with engines overheating and the vehicle stopping. Purchased a 2014 Nissan Rogue with 95,000 miles on it back in the summer of 2021. It currently has 102,00 miles. Along with the purchase, I purchased the “extended” warranty for $2400 to cover the drive-train. All was running well until the temperatures starting climbing into the 90’s consistently. While travelling on the turnpike at 75 mph, the engine suddenly shut down and I began coasting until I stopped. I tried restarting the car but to no avail. I called a tow truck to tow me back home 35 miles. I started doing research as to why this happened. It’s two-sided. The good part was that it shut the engine down before it overheated. The bad part was that I did need a new part for the transmission per the Nissan Dealership. Good-bad there too. Though I had the extended warranty with Protective Asset Protection, I still had to pay the labor difference between what the Dealership charges and what the third-party would cover. That was a $400 difference which I discussed with the warranty company. They are in agreement with the Dealership on the amount of labor they would pay “per hour”. The difference is that “based on a national average”, they say the job would only take 9.7 hours X $150/hr. However, Nissan said it would take 12.3 to complete. The difference in time is where the $400 discrepancy comes in. Not sure how the warranty figures all that out, but that’s a scam in itself. I spoke to someone at Nissan Consumer Affairs and all she could do was escalate. While talking, she sent a message to the two gentlemen working on my case (Richard Garrett & Mark Avery) and they told her to tell me t have the Dealership call one of them and they can help. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
When adaptive cruise control is in use at set speed of 75MPH, suddenly vehicle breaks to slow down to the speed of 55-60 MPH and within seconds accelerates again to the set cruising speed. This happened at least three time in the last three days with no other vehicle ahead of me.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The monitor and camera system does not always come on. The gps doesn’t work and if you try to backup there is no indication someone is behind you because the cameras are inoperable. This is definitely a safety issue. I have taken the vehicle to 2 service centers and it is still not fixed. As a matter of fact the issue happened before we drove it off the lot and we were told there was nothing wrong with the system

The transmission gave out while in the middle of driving on I-4. The safety of the driver and everyone in the highway was put at risk since the car stopped running out of nowhere in a high traffic area. The vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic. A warning symbol popped up as soon as it happened. It says chassis control system error.
