Ok , so 4 weeks ago I was driving down Jefferson Avenue here in st. Louis mo. The road is completely redone , no bumps, pothole etc. I was traveling about 35mph when car stared this possible wobble.. got out and notice my drivers side tie rod had snapped in half. Mind you my car only has 44k on it and I take immaculate care of it. I searched all over trying to find a tie rod for it. No one could produce one. Soni called nissan consumer affairs to get involved amd help locate parts to this car. After them towing my car to a dealer it has sat fir weeks now, amd they finally denied any help saying they wasn't responsible. Amd it was going to have to have a whole new steering rack n pion, which is 2500 dollars I don't have. I've looked around amd called and everyone is saying you hardly ever have to replace all of that for a tie rod. Nissan. I know is under investigation for this happening to other people with the rogue. I need something done about this and I can't get any help.from nissan or any nissan dealer, not even the dealerni bought my car at. This is becoming a head ache and I might have to see about starting a Class action lawsuit against them. Not supplying the parts and forcing me to have work dome that doesn't need to be done. Help please if you can!@

my gear shifter in my 2021 Rogue was stuck in park. I was stuck in the middle of a 6 lane road. Car would not go into drive or reverse in heavy traffic or neutral. Had waited for police they arrived 15 minutes later car was able to engage drive . Then towed to Nissan of Rockville Center NY. I was informed that liquid was under gear shifer and the electronics were faulty. I had the same issue in 2022 and received 2,500 dollars from Nissan but they never replaced part... Today same issue but life threatening. Water is able to drip down the shifter mechanism and made the CVT light to turned on and the car was stuck in park, Nissan said water got under the shifter. I own the car and never spilled water or accidently spilled water into the gear shifter. I called Nissan consumer affairs case # [XXX] and complained and said " How is this not water proofed as if water can get in this area cause the car to be immobile. stuck in park. I awaited a tow truck from AAA at [XXX] [XXX]... This complaint or defect is serious! I was so scared. But the police surrounded my car from traffic within 3 minutes.. on [XXX], Long Island. This ability for water to go through the shifter and cause this issue is an absolute manufacturers defect and needs to be address to this shifter design. It is the newer style shifter with only forward neutral and park button. this should be a sealed area as the cup holders are 2 inches away from the shifter. I think the issue started 2 years ago and corroded the electronics as nothing has spilt in this area ever! I don't even remember spilling anything in 2022. The screen for the Rear view camera is turning off for couple of seconds during the reversing of the car. During that time there is no visibility in the rear of the car and can cause an colossion.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While driving on busy highway the warning of the collision sensor and emergency brake sensors goes off, reduces speed tremendously while driving and never goes off. When this happened to me I was over miles from home stranded and had to drive under 30 mph to make it to an exit for safety and call a tow truck.

The engine revs a s will not accelerate. I have to stop put car in park and turn it off and on. This has happened many times. Dealership says they can’t do anything unless an engine light or code is present. I even showed them videos.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
As I was driving my daughter to school suddenly a warning popped up in the dash that there was a forward collision malfunction and the system turned itself off. There were no other vehicles near me or in front of me and the sensors were not blocked by rain (we are in drought conditions) or snow.

My back window exploded. I was just driving and the whole thing shattered. Thought I was shot with a gun but after the cops came they checked my car and found out this exploding window is common with the newer Nissan Rogues. I have the incident on dash cam too. I now have to pay $500 for my deductible to fix the window since Nissan won’t take responsibility. My car is being repaired tomorrow. I do have a police report number but I can’t move onto the next page without the report so I’m stating “no” but the answer is “yes”.

Major engine problems. The engine has loud knocking noise. While driving the car it shakes badly. When the hood is open you can see the engine jumping and it’s not properly secured. The engine can fall out causing a safety hazard and accident. Vehicle is not safe to drive. When driving the car loses speed immediately going over 55 mph.

Car engine light came on and the vehicle automatically slowed itself down to 20 mph as I was in a 45 mph zone, with multiple traffic behind me. No warning!! A hazard sign lit and the MIL lit up, saying there is an emissions control system malfunction and to immediately take the car to a repair station. NissanConnect also sent me a text at 5:12 Saturday night, all repair stations closed. This was very dangerous and the system should not have taken over complete control of the car at that very instant, leaving me completely unable to control the car. It was out of the blue, and I’m still shaking.

STEERING
The assessment is I was simply driving down [XXX] where I live, and my car started this horrible wobbling in the front end and I couldn't control the steering wheel. I was able to safely get the rogue pulled over to the side of the road. I got out upon looking at the car, I couldn't see anything wrong on the outside. But, upon further examination, I got down and laid down and looked under the car, it revealed that the driver's side inner tie rod had snapped in half. This is not normal being my car only has 46k on it. I called my brother in law who is a mechanic and sent him pictures of it and he confirmed it was the tie rod. So I started googling to find a replacement and low and behold, Nissan is under investigation for this problem happening in the 21 Nissan rogues to ike I have. I called suntrup Nissan where I had purchased the car in May and was basically told by the parts dept there, that there was nothing they could do to help me because they wouldn't even be able to get the part for at least two months. I find that ridiculous. Nissan doesn't even manufacture parts for their own vehicles they sell.. my brother in-law searched until he finally found a place in China that makes them for this model and mwe have one ordered 103.00 for the tie rod. I couldn't find where my car was in the recall but I feel so should be because it's the same problem they are under investigation for. I cannot afford to have my car looked at at a dealership, because I already pay 600. Month. For the car and I don't have extra money laying Round. nd the dealer already basically told me don't know what to tell you cause we wouldn't be able to fix it.. so I need to know what do do to at least be reimbursed for the labor I've had to pay someone to look. Nissan put faulty roof rack seals on my vehicle. This is the same issue as they had in 2021 when they issued a service bulletin. They are willing to fix the roof rack seals but not replace the headliner. This has caused an unhealthy musty smell in the cabin and a big stain on the headliner and A-Pillars. Nissan corporate will not cover the cost of a new headliner and A-Pillars but can’t guarantee a stain free headliner to pre-stain condition

Our 2023 Nissan Rogue with only 15,000 miles suffered complete engine failure (engine seized) driving on busy [XXX] passing through Baltimore. The safety of myself and my family was put at risk, and if we hadn't been in the left lane (allowing rapid access to the breakdown lane) we would have been in a multi-car pile-up going at high speeds. Afterward, my safety was at risk waiting for 5h on the busy highway waiting for a tow truck. There was a slightly rough engine sound just 15-30 minutes prior to the engine seizure, but no warning messages. The only message that appeared was "Engine Failure" at the moment the engine seized. The car was towed to the local Firestone Service station where they confirmed engine seizure with normal oil levels. We do not know if the oil had been compromised by infusion of gasoline (as we have now discovered is a problem with the Nissan Rogue engine). The car was subsequently towed to Bob Bell Nissan in Baltimore, and they have yet to inform us of their conclusions after 5 days. Route 9 Nissan in Westborough (where we bought the care) did not inform us that this was a potential problem nor that it is under investigation by the NHTSA. My 2022 Nissan Rouge S model began experiencing a strong gas smell inside the vehicle. Upon further inspection of the oil dipstick it smells heavily of gas. It has been to the dealership twice with absolutely no help or answers. It has also caused my engine oil levels to rise. I am concerned not only from a monetary stand point but more importantly from a safety standpoint i.e. engine stalls, fires etc.

The contact's girlfriend owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while his girlfriend was driving 65 MPH, the vehicle shuddered, went into LIMP Mode, and lost motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the engine was blown and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE23023 (Engine and Engine Cooling, Engine). The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.

Navigation system is unreliable and unsafe Nissan verified this and a failure and ordered a new unit 2 years ago and has not arrived and they refuse to fix it it the navigation drops out when driving in the middle of navigation causing a safety hazard and goes blank and I have to do a reset the dealer also has done resets and hasnt fixed it nissan has acknowledged the problem as there are many problems and dont care if its fixed many times ive had to go to my phone as this has display and system has almost got us killed many times....

Just sitting in the driver's seat of the vehicle and the rear window exploded. Nothing touched it, nothing hit or bumped it. It just shattered. The car was parked as I had just gotten into it less than a minute prior. Only the driver's door was opened and shut for me to get into the vehicle prior to this incident. The hatch was not opened or closed directly prior to the back glass exploding. Upon doing a simple Google search, I am finding that it has happened to other people as well with these vehicles.
