SummarySome customers may complain that the ambient temperature display is not accurate, or it takes too long for the display to show actual temperature. When you encounter a customer with this concern, first verify the condition when the customer noticed this symptom. If the condition is similar to the following "CONTROL LOGIC OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE" or "DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY AND OTHERS", advise the customer that this is a normal characteristic of the vehicle and not a malfunction. If the condition does not meet the following and the sensor malfunction is suspected, make sure to inspect the sensor according to MGSSonline or Workshop Manual (section 09-22 AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION). Replace the sensor only when it fails the Workshop Manual inspection.

SummarySome customers may claim that it is impossible or difficult to view the Active Driving Display, even if the position of the display is adjusted through the Settings screen. This is caused by an incorrectly learned zero-point (closed position) of the Active Driving Display. The main reason this happens is because an object (e.g. gloves, paper, etc. ) was placed in the storage area where the mirror and optical receiver are housed. If an object is detected (i.e., jammed) when the Active Driving Display closes after switching the ignition OFF, the system determines this as abnormal and stops the closing operation, leaving the Active Driving Display in an open position. When the engine is started the next time, correction of the zero-point is automatically performed. If the object is still in the storage area during the correction, the system learns the incorrect position as the zero-point. As a result, the zero-point position largely deviates from the standard position; therefore, it becomes impossible to view the Active Driving Display from the normal view position.

When the warning message is displayed, drive the vehicle for 10 minutes or more with the defroster ON to defogthe FSC lens.

SummarySome customers may complain of improper BSM performance under the following conditions. 1. Even if there is no vehicle in the alert area, the BSM indicator light on the outer mirror glass illuminates. 2. When a vehicle appears in the alert area, the BSM indicator light on the outer mirror glass illuminates later than expected. 3. BSM indicator light on the outer mirror glass illuminates even when a vehicle is approaching two lanes away (right or left side). This may be caused by a variation of the relative location between the radar emitted by the BSM unit and the rear bumper. An error may occur in the detection angle of the radar.
