Check Engine Light and Excessive Engine Coolant Leak; Inspected by a manufacturer dealer and seller dealership; Initial dealer stated it wasn't drivable due to the amount of coolant leaking as part of the tubing was melted due to improperly being afixed and being to close to the exhaust; Yes. The same issue was reported 3 times before the issue I had in regards to the check engine light and a recall on the coolant leak was indicated to be fixed in March 2023 but continued to be an issue now; Warning light for the check engine appeared the same day I brought the vehicle in.

My car was called in for a recall. The dealership stated they don’t have the correct software to update the issue but said to come back when they do. They never fixed my vehicle and now it’s howling my recall was fixed. But my car is still having the electrical issue and it almost shut off on the freeway.

I understand this is an ongoing recall, but will the NHTSA get involved to help push for a resolution? I have not had a vehicle since March and according to Jeep, the "fix" is still in an engineering and design phase which could take months/years. There was a class action lawsuit and Jeep asked to have the lawsuit dropped if they did a voluntary recall. Well, now it feels like since they are not under a lawsuit, they can take their time with the recall. Who can help push Jeep into getting this thing done? Thank you.

Yesterday 8/27/23 at 5pm I pulled into a parking lot and then into a parking space. As I came to a stop my Jeep lunged forward into the vehicle that was parked in front of me. At the time my Jeep Wrangler 4XE was operating in Hibrid mode running on electric with 49% charge left. As my Jeep came to a stop the gasoline engine started and the Jeep lunged forward striking the vehicle in front of me pushing it approximately 3 feet back before coming to a stop. This action caused significant damage to the other vehicle and minor damage to my jeep. I believe it was the abrupt start of the gasoline engine that caused the jeep to lunge forward even though my foot was on the brake. This action put me and others at risk, it was fortunate that the othe vehicle was unoccupied. I have contacted Jeep thru online email concerning this accident but at this time have not received a response. The police department was contacted and an officer responded to the scene. The officer observed the damage to both vehicles and did file an accident report. There were no warning lamps, warnings, or other symptoms of a problem prior to this incident.

The Engine light came on 3 weeks ago and I took it to the auto shop to find out what is wrong. P1547 is the code that the auto mechanic told me was coming up on the scan. He said it could be the gas cap so I had that replaced, but the light came back on in 2 days. He said that this is the 2nd Jeep Wrangler he has seen with the same engine light and code and believes it has something to do with the fuel system. My Jeep is less than 3 years old and only has 22,556 miles on it. I have only driven it around town and on the highways. Have taken very good care of the vehicle and have replaced the oil as directed. This has to be a manufacturers error and something that is quite concerning if it has to do with the fuel system. Please advise on how to proceed. I will be reaching out to Jeep corporate office as well to let them know about this issue and to see which service center they would like me to take the vehicle to. On the evening of August 19 I was returning to Katy Texas from a trip to Austin Texas. About half way home the Axle Locker Fault indicator light came on along with a blinking rear axle fault indicator. Just east of Sealy Texas on 1-10 I heard a clunk and saw smoke pour out from underneath the back of the jeep. I also lost forward momentum and had to make my way over from the far left lane 3 lanes to the emergency lane without power. I was fortunate to be near an exit and was able to roll off onto the feeder and into grassy area off the road. With a loss of power in heavy traffic this could have caused a fatal accident. The jeep, which is slightly over a year old was towed by AAA to my house. On Monday Jeep was called who towed it to autonation at 21777 katy freeway. They analyzed the problem and it was a broken pinion gear in the differential. The rear differential had been replaced by the dealer in March due to the same warning lights from the axel position sensor. As of the submittal of this report, the jeep is at the dealer waiting for an axle replacement.

I went to the dealership. They said since there were no lights or messages on dashboard they really couldn’t do anything. I insisted on them looking at it and they scheduled an appointment a week later. They said I have to leave the car with them for a week so they can look at it. They won’t give me a loaner to drive and they are short staffed so the car just sits on their lot for a week. This is completely unacceptable. There was no sense of urgency on something that could’ve turned into a tragic accident driving on the highway in Chicago. I took the car home. It was driving ok this week until today Saturday 8/27, my appointment is for Monday and car is completely dead and won’t start.

When I was driving normally the service shifter, service electronic stability control, auto park disabled error message displayed. Also the traction control light, parking brake light and the cargo light all turned on. Then lost power steering, at full speed. Tried to safely pull off the road. Coasted to a stop, where I then lost all power to the vehicle. Was unable to restart. Had it towed to Jeep dealership, for further inspection. The third time for the same issue. With no resolution or repairs. As they say, they can not reproduce the catastrophic failure. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer. It happened so suddenly I barely had time to pull over. If I was driving in the middle lane or on highways. I would have lost power steering, and stopped in the middle of the road. At higher rates of speed or other circumstances. It could have caused serious injuries, or even deaths. I am no longer comfortable driving this vehicle. For risk of personal injury or death, and being a danger to other drivers on the road.

I was driving down a side street when I received several warning lights for service shifter, airbags, seatbelts as well as the engine and all gauges cutting in and out. Following that my power steering went out and I could barely steer the vehicle. I had to call roadside assistance to tow the vehicle. The following fault codes wers pulled via obdii: U0001, U0151, U0155, U017E, U0418, U1442. Each code related to a malfunction with "CAN BUS C" or what the dealership referred to as a "star connector". After further research it is apparent that this part has continued to fail on many jeep wranglers dating back to 2018 and every report I have seen the person has stated the same issue of losing power steering. My jeep is a 2023 and now needs this part replaced. Why hasn't there been a recall on these vehicles for this faulty part? Why does chrysler continue to use these faulty parts on current vehicles when they know of their failure rate? This is a serious safety issue and should have been addressed years ago. Something must be done before someone gets hurt or killed.

I have taken my 22 Wrangler in 3 times to the dealership to fix the engine overheating, each time it was a different component until they said we need an entire new engine. Safety of us was overheated engine without a warning on the highway going 70+ speeds. I have heard several other stories of 21 and 22 wranglers overheating, I am not sure why a recall hasn't been issued.

The contact's daughter owned a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid. The contact stated while his daughter was driving 30 MPH, the vehicle ahead of hers stopped unexpectedly. The contact stated that the daughter slammed on the brakes and swerved to the right; however, the driver's side front end of the vehicle hit the passenger's side rear end of the other vehicle and damaged its taillight. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that it was a fender-bender. The contact's daughter then noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. The contact's daughter immediately exited the vehicle and contacted emergency services. The vehicle caught on fire and burned significantly. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. The contact was unsure whether a fire department report was filed. A police report was filed. The contact's daughter did not sustain any injury. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,077.

In April 2023 I was advised via a letter from Mopar of an important recall concerning the “High Pressure Fuel Pump” in my 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The correspondence warned that a failure of the fuel pump could result in a catastrophic crash without prior warning. The letter also indicated that “a remedy for this condition is not currently available”. Having not heard from the manufacturer for several months after receiving the recall notice, I contacted the recall hotline in July to request an update. The agent I spoke with indicated that parts to address the recall are not yet available, and she was unable to provide me with an estimated timeframe for the repair. The lack of a remedy, despite the implied severity of this recall, leaves me deeply concerned with the safety of my car. I rely on my vehicle for daily transportation and feel as though I’m taking a risk driving it. The car is less than one year old and has only 6378 miles on the odometer.

After hitting a bump driving normal highway speeds 45+ mph the car begins to shake and vibrate vigorously. It feels like you will lose control of the vehicle and the only way to stop these vibrations is to slow down to 30-40mph. Stopping like this on the freeway seems extremly unsafe when traffic is flowing. The dealership referred to this issue as the "Jeep Death Wobble" and it is apparently a known issue. The vehicle has been into the shop already twice and they have failed to correct the issue. The first time they replaced the stabilizer and the second time they were unable to replicate the issue to the traffic in the area and being not able to drive at highway speeds. Stellantis/FCA have requested I continue to to Drive this vehicle even with these issues saying this is not a safety issue.
