The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the transmission failed to shift out of first gear and failed to exceed 8 MPH. The RPM was elevated almost to the red line. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times, and the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact later purchased a portable diagnostic tester. The contact retrieved DTC: U414 (Transmission Control Module Failure). The dealer was contacted and advised the contact to take the vehicle in for a diagnostic test. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

The vehicle exhibits a persistent valvetrain ticking noise associated with the rocker/lifter/cam components of the 3.6L Pentastar V6. The engine makes a rhythmic metallic tapping at idle and during acceleration. The noise has progressively worsened, leading to rough idle and occasional misfires. This issue is documented in multiple Stellantis technical service bulletins (e.g., TSB 09-015-24 and TSB 09-011-25) which attribute the noise to hydraulic lash adjuster and cam/rocker wear. If unaddressed, the failure can cause camshaft damage, metal debris contamination, loss of power and potential engine stall, posing a safety risk. The vehicle is available for inspection. The problem has been confirmed by independent mechanics who recommend replacement of the rocker arms, lifters and camshaft to prevent catastrophic engine failure.

Took to two shops for the air bag light on dashboard. They told me this is a known issue with the clockspring and I should check for recalls. My vin shows no open recalls, but because this is a known issue with a previous recalls, i believe recurring issues should be assessed and repaired under the ongoing recall.

We were flat towing our Jeep Wrangler behind our RV using a new Blue Ox Avail tow bar and the right-side tow arm failed. Once the tow bar failed it was difficult to keep the Jeep within the lane behind the RV until we could find a safe place to exit the interstate and unhook. Blue Ox sent us a replacement Avail tow bar since it was under warranty, and the exact same thing happened on the first trip with the brand new replacement. The right-side tow arm failed traveling down the interstate. Two failures with two brand new units….Blue Ox Avail tow bar.

On August 4, 2025, while being operated in an ordinary and careful manner, the newly-purchased vehicle experienced an episode of sudden unintended acceleration, lurching forward uncontrollably and slamming into a tree. Then, as the driver attempted to back up, the vehicle charged forward and struck the tree again. The vehicle's driver airbag never deployed despite sustaining two head-on collisions which ultimately rendered the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle's manufacturer hired an "independent" inspector to inspect the vehicle. They found "no manufacturing defects" and blamed "human error" for the incident.

JEEP 2024 Wrangler 4XE HYBRID EXPLODED VIN# [XXX] On [XXX], just before [XXX], our 2024 hybrid vehicle began emitting smoke while parked in our attached garage. Thankfully, our smoke alarm alerted us - my wife discovered it was coming from the garage and immediately called 911. Police arrived within minutes and were able to push the car out of the garage. Shortly after that, the vehicle caught fire. First responders later told us that if my wife had not acted quickly, the fire could have easily spread to our home—potentially resulting in a total loss, or worse, endangering our lives if it had happened while we were asleep. It took four hours of continuous firefighting to manage the flames. The Hazmat team explained that this was due to “thermal runaway”, a dangerous chain reaction in lithium-ion batteries where heat builds uncontrollably, leading to fire or even explosions. These types of fires can’t be extinguished conventionally—they must burn out once the chemical reaction is complete. Some Important Context: This vehicle is the same year, make, and model as those recently recalled for hybrid battery fire risks. However, our VIN was not included in the recall—something we now believe may have been an oversight, as the circumstances appear nearly identical. Back in June, the car had another serious issue: it shut down completely despite a full gas tank and a 50% EV charge. It had to be towed to the dealership, and was returned to us a day or 2 later, marked as “repaired.” After the fire - I reviewed the service paperwork, we found that the specific error code pointed to unstable hybrid battery voltage—a potential sign of a failing battery pack. According to documentation on that error code POB24, complete replacement of the hybrid battery is considered the only safe fix. That repair was never performed—and worse, we were never informed of the severity of the issue. This negligence should be addressed as it almost killed us. The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. In addition, the vehicle failed to accelerate while driving uphill or downhill. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the catalytic converter was replaced. After several more tests on the vehicle, it was determined that there was a leak in the engine block, and that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.

All four Nexen tires failed within 16,500 miles during normal use on dirt and paved roads. I have submitted claims to Nexen for four ties on my vehicle which wore to less than 2/32” tread in less than 17,000 miles creating unsafe conditions and one slow leak. Nexen has denied all claims for redress .

Tire flattened after tread wore through the tread and hole created from chunking. Tire size: 255-75-R17. At about 16,500 miles the tire began to show steel belt wires from the sides and developed a slow leak. Measured tread was less than 2/32”. I submitted a claim to Nexen and it was denied.

Tire wore to 2/32” in less than 17,000 miles. Belt wires showing from the sidewalls. Submitted a claim to Nexen and they cited excessive off-road use and overinflation as the cause. Neither of these is true. This vehicle has only been used for rural mail delivery on paved or dirt roads Claim denied

The ABS computer brake module is bad in my jeep. It needs a replacement. Confirmed by Chrysler Jeep dealership. However, Chrysler does not offer a replacement module. ABS does not work on my vehicle. This is a huge safety issue and is common problem among this year Jeep. Chrysler shouldn’t be allowed to NOT have a replacement OEM ABS module. Huge safety risk and lawsuit

My 2019 Jeep Wrangler has a defective instrument cluster panel. The entire cluster is completely non-functional — I cannot see the speedometer, fuel gauge, warning lights, or odometer at all. This makes it impossible to monitor the vehicle’s speed, fuel level, or safety warnings while driving, creating a very serious safety hazard. I understand Jeep has already issued recall 24V-652 (Chrysler 30B) for defective cluster panels for 2019 and other Wrangler model years, but my VIN is not included even though I am experiencing the same issue. I am requesting that this defect be investigated and my vehicle added to the recall.

I rented a Jeep Wrangler from Enterprise in Kingston, NY. While driving on the highway, my 12-year-old daughter pulled a lever in the passenger seat, and the roof panel detached and flew onto the road. There were no warnings, no instructions, and no disclosure from Enterprise. This posed an extreme danger to drivers. This vehicle design and rental practice presents a major public safety risk.
