My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.6 ENG vehicle is cutting off while driving, I was advise it the transmission shift gear transmission, Which needs to be replaced and the can change the TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY - Remove & Replace 3.6L Eng, AWD on my vehicle. when I stop at the light the vehicle completely shuts off where I have to restart my vehicle. They said it was the 2nd battery which I changed and brought a new one. and the same day it still was cutting off. after several attempt in contacting them. I brought the vehicle into Chrysler Jeep Dodge of port Jefferson, and after reviewing they said I need to replace the transmission . I was also advised that there was a TSB Code that is now coming up # 21-00925 Revision C - P0733. I'm very upset as they're telling it current over the extended warranty at this time at 60,000 Miles. when I brought it in it was .. This should be a recall and they need to fix it I only had this vehicle for less then 5yrs brand new, when I started having these issues and can put me in a situation on the highway where I can get into a server accident. I strongly urger the RECALL as this is a known issue with this vehicle

After having my 22 Jeep Grand Cherokee at OBX Jeep in NC for over 10 months for electrical and camera issues it was shipped to Brown Daub Jeep in Easton, PA for overdue PA State Inspection due to the length of the repair in NC. Supposedly OBX Jeep said it was repaired but car immediately had electrical issues including FCW OFF dash light. The PA Jeep dealer corrected electrical issues following Jeep Star Publication and it was returned to me July 3, 2025. FCW OFF dash light has come back on on [XXX] and OBX Jeep is indicating I must again leave it with them to further diagnose the issue. My 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a persistent, intermittent grinding or rumbling noise during moderate acceleration, most often under load such as going uphill. The noise has been documented over seven service visits and confirmed in writing by two separate Jeep dealerships, yet Jeep claims they cannot replicate it consistently. In 2024, my husband experienced violent jerking during upshifts at highway speeds, forcing him to restart the vehicle to restore normal operation. While that specific event has not repeated, the grinding/drivetrain issue continues, with no warning lights or diagnostic codes. The defect has persisted for more than a year, despite extensive service attempts, and raises serious safety concerns — particularly if the drivetrain locks up or loses power while driving. Jeep has not resolved the issue and is attempting to close my case without a fix. Case No. 93653073 is on file with Jeep/Stellantis Customer Care. Dates of service visits: Repair History 6/12/24 (1 day) – Rhythm Jeep – Unable to replicate 6/19–7/23/24 (35 days) – Rhythm Jeep – Replaced faulty resonator 8/1–8/2/24 (2 days) – Rhythm Jeep – Replaced exhaust assembly 9/21–10/2/24 (12 days) – Rhythm Jeep – PCM update, cam/crank relearn, STAR Case S2309000002; noise confirmed 10/30–11/11/24 (13 days) – Rhythm Jeep – Replaced motor mounts; vibration noted 11/27–12/17/24 (21 days) – Rhythm Jeep – TCM reprogrammed and quick learn 7/12–7/15/25 (4 days) – Freeland Jeep – Transmission tech assigned; grinding confirmed Total days out of service: 88. No warning lights, no stored codes.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Additionally, the transmission unexpectedly shifted to 4WD Low while driving. The steering wheel vibrated while making a turn, and the vehicle jerked. The vehicle also intermittently failed to start immediately and made a clicking sound. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the ABS had failed, and that the drive train control module and transfer case control module needed to be replaced. The headrests on both my drivers and passenger side popped out. This seems to be a reoccuring issue with Jeeps and it happened while I was driving. The airbags have not been deployed and I was not in an accident. They will not go back in and Jeep wants $750 to replace each as they are not covered under a recall.

While driving, the vehicle suddenly shuts down without any prior warning. When this happens, I lose steering and braking capabilities until the vehicle comes to a complete stop. The vehicle must then be towed to the service center, where they reset the fault codes in the computer system and return the vehicle to me. There are two recurring diagnostic trouble codes associated with this issue: Digital Crash Input HCP Code The manufacturer and dealership have stated they have no solution for this defect and have advised me to continue driving the vehicle despite the unresolved safety problem. This defect is extremely dangerous — I have been in several situations where I was nearly involved in an accident when the vehicle shut down during motion.

In February 2025, my jeep would flash a “Service Hybrid System” code that would last about 3-5 seconds and disappear. This happened about 4-5 times over the next few months, code would not stay up and vehicle seemed unaffected. On June 10, I was driving with son on a highway about 60 mph when my car completely shut off, no power to engine, no power steering- absolutely nothing. We experienced a very aggressive jerk when this happened and I limped the vehicle off to the shoulder- we live in a remote area and I had no cell service. I was able to restart my car and drove it in “e-save” mode home. The next day, I drove my car again and had my son and daughter in the vehicle and the same exact thing happened. I was driving about 55mph around a corner with a large semi coming at me in the oncoming lane and my vehicle shut off and lost power and power steering. I was terrified that I would veer into that truck and there was not a shoulder readily available. We had to yet again limp the vehicle a few yards around the corner to pull off and I did not have service. So I had to walk to call my husband to pick my children up. The car has been at the dealership since then and told there is a digital crash code showing with no eta on a fix. Stellantis has denied a buyback yet my car has 26,000 miles on it and is under warranty with no eta on fix. Vehicle is unsafe to drive and unfixable for 60 days now.

The headrests activator failed on the driver’s seat and hit me in the back of the head. I was driving about 35mph. This vehicle has never been in an accident. A week later the same thing happened in the passenger seat to a passenger. Upon inspection the plastic failed that secures the latch-pin. We were never notified about this problem!

Recall 24V-838 has been open on my vehicle since November 2024. I have contacted multiple dealerships and they have no updates on when parts will be available to complete the recall. Possible issues related to the recall pose serious safety concerns.

When driving the vehicle the check engine light would flash adn the car would start shaking, we took it to the dealer and they said they did a update it was all set, on the way home we had the same issue execpt worse so we had it towed to the dealer and they installed a ignition coil, we picked it up and the same issue. We're now told it needs major engine work and there waiting on parts but we can drive the car until the parts come in because the dealer does not have a loaner but the vehicle is not safe to drive, Chrysler refused to take the car back and refused to do a buy back. The dealer does not respond and chrysler has not been any help.
