VISIBILITY/WIPER
While driving on a state highway at approximately 65 mph, there was a loud exploding sound followed by loud rushing air. I quickly realized that my sunroof glass had shattered. Fortunately the sunroof shade was closed so no glass came into the vehicle. Besides myself driving, both of my kids were sitting in the back seat and could have been injured by flying glass shards. There were no other vehicles around me and nothing apparently struck my vehicle.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I bought a 2014 INFINITI QX60 and after one week, my vehicle started to jerk after resuming from a stop sign or stop light but was just annoying at first. Later that day, the check engine light came on and I took it to auto zone to get the code which displayed "P1715 - Input Pulley Speed Signal" and secondary DTCs were P0776 (Pressure solenoid B performance/stuck off. When I am driving, I cannot make it a mile without having my RPMs skyrocket and my vehicle become inoperable and makes me turn my flashers on and find a place to pull over, shut off my vehicle, and restart it. This repeats over and over and over if I continue to get to the grocery store for essential needs but it is not safe to drive and will for sure cause a collision if it keeps happening. There are so many issues with this make/model and needs to be addressed for the safety of others on the road and myself/children as it is unexpected and very scary.

Shuddering, shaking & skipping while driving. It’s a nightmare. The car (QX60- 2015) can’t go over 20 miles without “jumping” on me. I am fearing for my safety. It’s only a bulletin by Infiniti and not a recall. This is unacceptable.

The vehicle started to make a grinding sound and stopped suddenly in the middle of traffic. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms. Other cars had to abruptly stop and swerve to avoid hitting the rear of my vehicle. I have been informed that this is a known issue with this model of vehicle from Infiniti related to 2014 – 2017 QX60; FLUID LEAK CAUSED BY TRANSFER ASSEMBLY RIGHT SIDE DRIVE SHAFT SEAL.

POWER TRAIN
I bought the SUV in 2016 with low milage. As of Sep 2021 the SUV has 79,200 miles on it. Last month I noticed that it didn't seeem to be changing gears when I was driving it and it's making a whistling noise when driving it. I've taken it to two different to have it and they both say that it's the CTV transmission. To replaced the tranmisson would cost over $6000.00. Upon researching online I saw that this seems to be ongoing problem with this SUV. We as consumers should not have to pay out of pocket for a repair that the manufactor is reaponsible for.

My car have a transmission issue it’s jerking,shuldder Infinity should replace qx60 We bought this car and it too much headeach every month I spent at least 2000 fixing this car We should get a refund or they should change the car for anyone that have 2014 qx60 they shouldn’t sell this cars in a USA no more

SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
When breaking the pedal starts to bounce and make a super loud noise like if the rear tire is flat. It does it sporadically at low speed breaking making it hard to stop the car. I have taken it ti the dealer numerous time and the Infiniti special mechanic cant find the issue. Also, when driving on the highway the slippery sensor turns on slowing down the car suddenly almost causing an accident. The awd overheating sensor turns on as well all the time as well as the one for mismatch tires. This has been happening for almost 2 years.

The contact owns a 2015 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while her son was driving 70 mph, the front and rear passenger’s side seat air bag deployed inadvertently. The driver pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and checked the vehicle. The vehicle was not struck by an object for the air bag to deploy. The driver continued driving back to the residence. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact reached out to the local dealer for the vehicle to be inspected however, an appointment was not yet scheduled. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 52,000.

Electrical coupling faulty and cause the car to shudder and jerk. I took it to Priority Infinity Greenbrier it is a know issue. These coupling should last on these vehicles. component has not been inspected by manufacture. No warning notice at all

I was driving my 2014 Infiniti QX60 on the freeway with my son and out of nowhere the QX60 starts shudder and jerking while driving on the freeway. After some back and forth with dealership, was told about the transmission on this model and it needs replacing at $6940 and it is a known issue, but my mileage is over 94K and outside of the Nissan warranty. Consumer would like to withdraw the complaint, problem has been resolved.

The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered while depressing the accelerator. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle would resume normal driving once the accelerator pedal was released. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where he was informed that the transmission was defective however, the mechanic refused to fix the vehicle. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Car jerks while changing gears. It sometimes hesitates when you step on the gas and often it feels like it "bangs" into gear when it finally does change. It feels like there is a transmission problem. However there does not appear to be any recalls for this. We've had fluid flushes and changes in an effort to fix the problem but it continues to be an issue.

THIS PROBLEMATIC INFINITI QX60 HAD FAILED ONCE AGAIN WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. IT'S JUST DEAD AND THE ENGINE REFUSED TO START. I HAD TO CALL THE TOW TRUCK TO DROP OFF AT THE KINGS INFINITI AUTO SHOP FOR REPAIR. FIRST, IT WAS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE THAT THEY COULDN'T TAKE A LOOK AT THE VEHICLE UNTIL A WEEK LATER. SECOND, NO ONE EVER OFFERED ME A LOANER CAR TO TAKE HOME AND HAS STILL DENIED THIS REQUEST. WE DEPEND ON THIS FOR WORK AND SCHOOL. THIRD, JUST TODAY I WAS INFORMED BY THE INFINITI TECHNICIAN THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR FEES OF $13,000 DUE TO ENGINE FAILURE! SERIOUSLY?! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IT FROM ANYWHERE. TO ME THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND I STRONGLY BELIEVE IT IS THE MANUFACTURER GUILTY OF THE CAR ISSUES AND SUSPECTING THIS IS A CAR DEALER FRAUD. $13,000 REPAIR COST IS RIDICULOUSLY HIGH, YOU COULD PUT DOWN A DOWN PAYMENT FOR A CONDO OR TO BUY A LOWER GRADE NISSAN SENDRA. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AT THE UNRELIABILITY OF THIS VEHICLE AND THE COMPANY IN GENERAL. I'VE BEEN LEASING VEHICLES FROM NUMEROUS CAR BRANDS FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED AN ISSUE EVEN REMOTELY TEDIOUS AND FRUSTRATING AS THIS. WE'VE ALREADY DEALT WITH THE MINOR ISSUES OURSELVES BUT HOW COULD WE BE EXPECTED TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AN ENGINE FAILURE THAT ISN'T OUR FAULT? AS I HAD MENTIONED ABOVE, I HAVE REGULARLY KEPT UP THE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE AS LISTED ON THE CAR MANUAL FOR ALL TYPES OF OIL CHANGE, CHANGING ENGINE FILTER, ETC. I'M ATTACHING ALL THE RECEIPTS WE COULD FIND FOR THE MAINTENANCE SERVICES THAT WERE DONE FROM THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT THE ENGINE COULD FAIL DUE TO "LACK OF MAINTENANCE".

VEHICLE HAS 73,000 MILES. WHEN DRIVING AND ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO SHAKE, JERK AND VIBRATE VIOLENTLY. THIS HAPPENS AT BOTH LOCAL AND HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE FREQUENCY IN WHICH THIS OCCURS HAS INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THE PAST WEEK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP STATES THAT THIS IS A "PREMATURE TRANSMISSION FAILURE" AND IS RECOMMENDING A FULL REPLACEMENT OF THE TRANSMISSION AT THE CUSTOMERS EXPENSE. NISSAN/INFINITI IS WELL AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, BUT IS APPARENTLY TAKING NO OWNERSHIP IN HELPING CUSTOMERS WITH RESOLVING THIS PREMATURE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE BULLETIN THAT THE MANUFACTURE HAS ISSUED NEEDS TO BE ESCALATED TO A RECALL. AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER IS OVERDUE AS NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS TRANSMISSION FAILURE.
