Vehicle brakes began locking up when braking on bumpy areas. Took in to dealership on October 7, 2024 and left it with them all week. I went back to pick it up and they said it needed a software update and was fixed. A few days later the brakes repeated the locking up on bumpy areas again. After waiting 6 weeks for an available loaner car my vehicle is back the dealership, it’s been nearly a week again and I haven’t heard any news.

The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the RPM' increased quickly; however, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the failure persisted. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the transmission. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, who again diagnosed a failure with the transmission, informing the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced again. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 27,000.

My wife and I purchased a new 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy in May 2024. It has roughly 5500 miles now. For the most part, we have been very pleased with the vehicle. There is one major thing that is wrong but is not yet recognized for the 2024 model. We are experiencing an issue similar to a handful of the 2023 models, which is with the braking system. During braking over uneven or bumpy roads, we experience a violent shaking of the vehicle and steering wheel, as well as loss of braking (or just very very very degraded). It has caused us some close calls with almost rear ending vehicles due to the loss of braking when it is needed. It has only occurred at lower speeds (roughly under 30mph) with varying degrees of brake pressure. The only way to get it to stop is to fully release the brakes, and press the petal again (hoping you still aren’t over any bumpy part of the road). There are no warning lights or indications on the dash showing a failure during this time. My wife is the primary driver of the vehicle, but together we have experienced this over 15 times since owning it. I have taken it to the dealership we purchased it at and unfortunately the roads were too smooth in that part of town to replicate the issue. They ran diagnostics and test drove themselves too but still nothing. We did verify ABS works properly and it does. There is no shaking or degraded braking when the ABS activates. I plan on taking it to another part of town that is bumpier to have a different dealership ride with me so I can show them what it does, but I have not done so yet. From reading around, others have voiced concerns to Hyundai corporate already and have received responses stating that it is normal. I can assure you that this is not normal for a vehicle to do. My guess is that similarly to the 2023 Palisade, it doesn’t affect a lot of vehicles. But with the ones it does, it is just the matter of time before an accident occurs that will harm/kill someone.

The sunroof exploded. Nothing hit the sunroof. Glass shattered and some came down inside the vehicle. Was driving in the neighborhood to get gas, no cars, no trees overhead. Could have gotten glass shards in my eyes or injured a passenger should one have been in the vehicle. Dealership has not acknowledged it was spontaneous. They are turning it into Hyundai to check coverage. No warning was given by the vehicle.

As I was driving my car to work on 11/8/24 my pallisades brakes failed to work. As i was approaching a red light after stopping at a stop sign, It started to vibrate, like trying to grab traction, it did not slow down and continue the same speed until I almost hit a car at the light. What stopped the vehicle was the emergency sensor that started beeping as the car sensed it was getting close to the vehicle at the light stopped. In the last second the car stopped with the emergency brakes an inch away from a car accident. I called Hyundai and brought the car to the dealership where they kept it overnight and until the next day in the afternoon. I was told that this was a known issue to Hyundai and they have had several people complain of this same problem. Unfortunately they said there is nothing they could do and I would have to wait until Hyundai the manufacturer decides what to be done. They also called Hyundai corporate and filed a complain on my cars behalf. Now I am stuck with a car I am afraid to drive.

The failed/malfunctioning component(s) are the rear shocks/struts. Safety put at risk due to uncontrollable bumpiness and instability while driving on less than perfectly smooth local roads and highways. The problem has been confirmed by local Hyundai dealership service center. There are no associated electronic notifications or warning lights alerting driver of failure or malfunctioning of this vehicle component. Recently purchased the vehicle in July 2024 as a certified pre owned and noticed knocking sound emitting from rear (mostly left) side of vehicle about a month or two after purchase.

When approaching a stop at low speeds, the breaks were applied but the car would not stop and was lurching forward and shaking violently. This is is the 3rd time that this happened. The incident today was on a slight incline and the road had no bumps when the car was shaking.

I have a Hyundai Palisade complaint. NHTSA ID Number: 11613395. I was trying to add additional information. The car stopped working again. It stops at intersections and won't start up. This time it wouldn't start at all. Had to be towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership. Since June this car has been at the Hyundai Service center. The following parts have been replace. Transmission Front Axle Bearing Kit 3 ignition coils 5 spark plugs This time they are saying the reason the car stops and won't start is the "starter" needs to be replaced. Out of 6 months, this car has been at the service center for 3 months and multiple visits to the servcie center and three major repairs for the same issue. I want to know if others a having the same issues.

The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed, and the vehicle skidded to a stop. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was performing as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the ABS. The contact was able to duplicate the failure while test driving the vehicle and driving over a bump in the roadway. The contact stated that the failure recurred when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 5,000.

Based upon Big Star Hyundai Repair Department’s assessment the engine failed because there was a miss fire in cylinder 6. They have been waiting on a new engine since July 2024. Our car has been at the dealership since 2024.

My 2020 Palisade has about 98,000 miles. A few months ago I brought it to the dealership because I thought my transmission was faulty. It turns out my car had burned up all but 1 qt of oil and it was affecting my engine, eventhough I changed my oil at 7,000 miles per the Hyundai manual (7500-10,000). I recently took the car in for an oil consumption test. I did an oil change, at my expense, and they set up the car for the test. I came back in 1000 miles and since my car had only burned up 3/4 of oil and not a full qt, Hyundai refused to do anything. I have driven 467 miles since that test and my dipstick shows an oil line 3/4 of the way to the bottom line already. I have a 100,000 powertrain warranty and a 120,000 bumper to bumper extended warranty and the only suggestion from Hyundai is to do an engine take apart at my expense ($1,000) or an engine clean at my expense ($700). Both of these options are unacceptable. So for now I am just going to be putting oil into my car every 500-1000 miles and hope it doesn't get worse. I worry about being on the freeway with my children and my engine seizing. This has happened to many people on palisade forums and other Hyundai card with their EDI engine. This is not only a terrible inconvenience that I should not be experiencing on my 4 year old car but also a huge safety issue. Please do something to make Hyundai make this right. This is their flagship car and not inexpensive.

I live in an area that gets snow (Flagstaff, AZ), this morning 3 times the brakes locked up on me going at low speed and almost hit 2 cars because once they lock, the brakes don't let up until the car comes to a complete stop. This is a known issue with this model but Hyundai has done nothing to address it (per google). I am scared to drive the car in any weather conditions and that is what I bought it for!!

During the daytime, you cannot see any of the graphics on the steering wheel switches. How am I supposed to know what button does what? How am I supposed to control the cruise control settings if I am pushing the wrong buttons. At night they are illuminated so I can see them better, but during the day the graphics are basically invisible. I'm thinking this is only an issue on the Calligraphy Night trim levels. This has been an issues since we picked up the vehicle.

Brake or ABS failure when driving at a moderate speed between 10 to 20 mph over an uneven ground, slightly bumpy road, which makes the car shake and lurch forward while brake pedal becomes unavailable to press/hit . This has happened around 6 times within the last 10 months since the purchase, twice over a railroad crossing, and four times when passing over a sliding parking lot gate's track, dealer conducted a diagnosis but unable to replicate the issue, where they had driven the car not more than 5 miles within the limits of their parking lot. I opened a case with Hyundai Manufacturer America regarding the issue but they told me the same thing as the dealership did that they can't help me further because they couldn't replicate the issue.
