My car's emergency brake failed to work and my car's rear slid downhill into a 90 degree angle. The front passenger bumper of my car hit the front driver bumper of the car parked behind me. This happened while I was parallel parking in front of my home, which is on right side of a street with an uphill incline. I turned my car's front wheels away from the curb, which is why my car's rear spun into a 90 degree angle. There is a small driveway between my car and the car behind me, which is why my car had the space to spin and slide into 90 degree angle in the middle of the street. I could have sworn my car was shifted to park, but it's possible that I was shifted to reverse or neutral. I almost 100% sure that I initiated my emergency parking break and that it failed to turn on. I had started to exit the driver side door and my legs were outside of the car already when I noticed the car to slide backwards. I panicked and I tried to get back into the car, but I couldn't. My legs were dragged across the street. I have some minor injuries such as bumps, cuts and bruises. My car stopped from sliding when it hit the car behind me. I could have been seriously injured. There should have been some "fail safe" to prevent me from exiting the car when it's possible it could start to move. I'm considering selling my car because of this issue.

ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
At approximately 9:30pm CST Saturday June 17th my 2023 Honda CRV Sport Touring has a rapid loss of power while travelling on the I-55 expressway in Illinois before the Weber Rd exit. Received critical engine failure error message and transmission failure error message. Final error was emission system error. Engine block was shaking severely - car could not move. Car towed to dealership where purchased, Valley Honda in Aurora IL. Has been with their service since then. They said piston was misfiring. They were talking about breaking down the engine but moved in a different engine. May need fuel injectors replaced - but shortage of those. Waiting for update, next step may be for me to meet with sales (hopefully for refund or buyback). Please contact me if you need additional information.

The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while attempting to close the liftgate with the key fob, the liftgate independently reopened. After attempting several times to close the liftgate with the key fob, the liftgate was manually closed by force. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the liftgate door need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,275.

The hood on my 2023 Honda CRV moves up and down when traveling over the speed of 60 mph. I called my Honda dealership several times and have been told each time not to bring it in because it would be a waste of my time, and this is normal on this model to have a vibrating hood, due to design and use of light weighted metals. They went on to say, there is nothing Honda will do for this. It reminds me of seeing a sewing machine needle move up and down. Not only is it distraction, but I am concerned that one day the hood might pop open while driving, therefore creating multiple hazards.

The sunroof exploded as I was driving. There were no cars around me. Glass blew outward and I was concerned about any cars that would follow. I took photos and then took the car into my Honda dealer. They claim a rock hit it. I know that could not have happened. The car is only 6 months old. There was no warning before it happened. If I had the sunroof open, glass could have affected me and/or my passenger. My insurance agent has also seen the photos. The sunroof is being replaced today, a month after it exploded. I had to cover the opening with plastic sheeting and painters tape to keep the area dry.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Vehicle began hard braking using the collision avoidance system when there were no other vehicles or obstacles on the road. Then the vehicle safety systems (adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation braking system and road departure mitigation system and brake system) all began displaying warning messages. The car only has 1600 miles. The dealer inspected and states that the safety systems are not functioning because the camera failed. A replacement part will not be available for six weeks and the dealer indicated the vehicle was safe to drive with the error messages, but that in an accident none of the safety features would function. The dealer is unable to provide a reason for the failure, but suggested it could be due to heat. The dealer indicated there was the same vehicle type that experienced the same failure a few days earlier.

Within two hours of picking new CRV up, Auto Stop Idle Problem - see your Dealer" message popped up. Two weeks later, 12 error messages popped up on dash. Took vehicle in 5 times for repairs after error messages popped up after each repair. Front grill, battery sensor, battery and entire harness were replaced. I don't feel confident I can trust the safety of this vehicle. In addition, this vehicle does not have blind spot warning.

A new 2023 CRV Honda than in less than two months it’s sunroof shattered while I was driving in the freeway. It was a very scary and dangerous situation because it sounded like an explosion and several pieces of glass hit my face, my passenger and my little dog. No object hit the sunroof. I took my new vehicle to the Honda dealer to replace the glass. Honda denied my claim. It’s infuriating that Honda states that sunroofs are not part of the warranty because this glass comes from another manufacturer. I ended up paying for a defective glass and I feel that it might happen again and Honda is not doing anything to take care of this defective sunroof glass!! Very frustrated!

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
This has occurred several times recently. Driving at 30-40mph also at highway speeds. Nothing in from of vehicle for at least 1/2 mile. Collison Mitigation Brakjng System activates without any warning. If it were not for seatbelts one would be sent into the dashboard or steering wheel. It is a very disturbing feeling being basically jerked forward unexpectedly. Luckily no one was close enough behind to initiate a rear-end collision. Currently we are waiting to have the car seen by our dealer. The dealer seems to treat this as a big deal since we can't be seem until the first week of July. I would think this issue would be one of a very serious safety concern, but I suppose the dealer feels not. They did however tell us to turn that system off. Seems counter intuitive to have a safety system yet told to turn it off and wait about 2 weeks to be seen in the shop.

This issue verified be a dealership as a manufacturing issue. I was quoted a price for repairs which would be added to my car fax. There might be an issue with frame or metal used for this vehicle

The Honda 2023 CRV Hybrid Sport experiences significant hood flexing / movement at high speeds, giving the indicator that the hood may suddenly open while driving (should the latch break). This happens ALWAYS at speeds of 60mph+ or during high wind circumstances and the movement gets far worse the higher in speed or the higher the wind conditions. The hood is confirmed closed each time before it starts and this happens with consistency. I have made an appointment to speak with the dealer about this on this upcoming Friday, but I have read online of many other individuals experiencing this issue and wanted to report it to ensure others are not impacted dangerously by this issue. No warning messages, symptoms, or lights appear. The issue has been confirmed.

I bought a brand new 2023 CRV Hybrid Sport and am having issues with the steering. When at speeds greater than 20 mph , the steering becomes stiff and hard to maneuver. It makes it impossible to swerve out of the way of a dangerous life threatening situation in front of a driver Significant force and two hand driving is needed to steer left and right at higher speeds The vehicle is brand new, only 44 miles on it so far
