STEERING
With the lane assist TURNED OFF, the steering wheel is jerked one direction or another. It makes a constant working of the wheel for steering, particularly at highway speeds. You feel like you are constantly fighting the car’s steering. It is a jerk every few seconds that you have to fight to correct. 4031 miles on the new car purchased in May 2023. Definitely feels dangerous.

The contact owns a 2021 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the rear passenger's side tire became loose, which caused the vehicle to shudder uncontrollably. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000. The VIN was not available.

STRUCTURE:BODY, VISIBILITY/WIPER
Hood shakes like crazy at sppeds over 60 MPH, brought to dealer and they said it was "Normal" and there is nothing they can do. it is shaking badly and I worry it will pop up and cause an accident. Not pleased with this at all. Second thing is it has developed a loud wind noise on passengers side "a" pillar near the windshield it seems. Going in to the dealer for them to look at that next week, as was not present when new, and we have now about 12,000 miles on it and it is about 10 months old. Other issue is the drivers side mirror shakes and vibrates lots at highway speeds making it difficult to use day or night, it is terrible. So far, not a happy customer. Lastly, the horn is really not loud enough, and also complained to dealer about that and they said "they are all like that" nothing they can do..

The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked in the driveway, the contact’s daughter’s head had got stuck in the window. The contact’s grandmother attempted to lower the window, but the window failed to roll down. When the window was finally rolled down, the contact’s daughter was unconscious. The contact’s daughter needed CPR and was left with bruising on her neck and upper back. The contact’s daughter received medical attention in the ER. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

STEERING
The car has a very sticky feeling when steering. The car is very hard to steer at higher speeds and makes it very hard to maneuver in case of emergency The steering locks and gets super hard to turn at speeds greater than 20 mph. I have already been in a minor accident which I couldn’t swerve away from a car coming into my lane

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Since purchasing the car new, there have been four instances in which the collision sensor has falsely detected object of vehicles that are no where in sight. The "BRAKE" warning flashes and then the car brakes hard, sometimes to a complete stop when no object/car are beside/in front of me. These have happened going at speed between 25-50mph. This is very dangerous because anyone behind could collide with me from behind and put my family in danger. These event happened at 10,000 miles. 20,000 miles, and up to 60,000 miles.

The reverse camera works poorly and is not clearly especially if it’s wet outside. Water smears on the camera more easily than other cars I have owned even if it’s not actively raining. My 2013 g37 and 2017 Mercedes glc300 never had visibility issues for the camera and the Infiniti is 11 years older. Honda states it’s normal. I think it’s a bad design that allows camera lens to hold water on it. It’s a potential danger when reversing during rain or if car is wet.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
This is the second occurrence of a similar problem. First problem occurred on Sept 14, 2023 and service slip is attached. While driving the car lost power but I was able to regain power but I got adaptive cruise control system problem, collision mitigation braking system problem, smart entry system problem -see dealer warnings. Pulled into a parking lot but when I shut car off got accessory mode on screen. Navigation system remained active and could not restart car or lock car doors. Called service and they jump started the car and I drove car to dealer. Dealer said car had water in fuse box. I did not drive thru any water and car was not in any flood area. I asked if this could be a problem with the electric transmission as I had seen info on the internet about this. No one seems to know the new recall I was talking about. Car is currently at dealer waiting for parts.

The vehicle was towed to the collision center but was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was not deemed totaled by the insurance company. The dealer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. As I was driving down the street at 45mph, with no one anywhere close in front of me, the warning brake noise and lights came on and the car quickly braked and brought the car to a stop. Thankfully the person behind me was not following too close, but it sure shook me up!

The Reverse camera unit is turning black and white often (while randomly it's switching to color). The sudden change in the image coloring is distracting me a lot while I'm driving. I had taken the vehicle back to dealership the immediate day after I bought my vehicle, they were able to reproduce it and asked me to leave the vehicle and after a week I was told the case is with Honda as there are many complaints across many vehicles, while dealer is waiting for Honda's solution and I was asked to take my vehicle. With no date for the fix, it's frustrating & puts me in lots of mental pressure. I've email thread with dealership if there needs any additional proof.

While driving on a clear day on a relatively flat straight road the CMBS activated and applied the brakes abruptly. There we no objects in the road when the brake light appeared and the car abruptly applied the brakes. There were no apparent conditions that would warrant this action. This issue has only occurred once and the dealer has not yet inspected the car since this incident.

LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
I am really going through a very rough patch after buying the Honda CRV in May end 2023 EX-L model , 23/HONDA/CR-V/ AWD EX-L : Warnings Concerns / VIN: [XXX] . Following up from the 3 -month , I purchased the vehicle , but no respite from Honda Dealer & Honda Company, even filed the case with American Honda : Case # [XXX] but they are not providing any solution and referring to Honda dealer and Honda dealer referring to Honda company and I m missed as no body is taking the responsibility. I am seeing an unwanted warning, when I unpark my car, and there is no resolution at the Honda dealer and Honda company itself. warnings which abruptly came when my new Honda CRV got unparked . Details as below "LKAS: lane keeping assist system problem. See your dealer.". "road departure mitigation system problem. See your dealer.", Please help me to reolve this issue, If we paid out what is the intended price, but we are not getting the benefits/comfort what is expected and causing us the multiple trips to Honda showroom and mental agony giving me sleepless nights, if I spend too much for a new vehicle, still getting these kind of discomfort and uneasiness. It seems that customers should be compensated for all these unnecessary troubles and unwanted warnings giving an illusion which makes the driver unformatable which can lead to accidents. The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while parked, the contact noticed an oil leak. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the oil pan needed to be replaced. The oil pan was replaced. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where they replaced the oil pan again along with the crank case. The failure recurred and the remained with the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 3,950.

SERVICE BRAKES, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I was pulling into a parking space at my work parking lot, where I have been parking my car for the past 2.5 years. I was slowly parking the CRV, my foot was not applying any pressure on the gas, I was slowly easing into the parking space and as I was putting my foot on the brake to stop, it was very hard as if it was locked and the car kept going. I couldn't stop the SUV and it jumped the curb/went over the plants and crashed into a building/shattering glasses , frames, furniture and appliances as it hit the wall beam and stopped. to The Honda emergency brake system did not activate to stop the vehicle. I had no control of the vehicle as I frantically tried to brake- it was locked. I have reported a claim to State Farm insurance company and to Honda Claims. The Auburn, CA police came to the scene and completed a report. Honda just took the facts of loss and did not conduct any investigation. My insurance company has yet to inspect the vehicle or transfer the vehicle to a Honda dealership to rule out manufacturer defect.It is sitting at their preferred shop Caliber Collision of Rocklin, for the damage to be assessed.
