The contact owns a 2023 Honda Civic. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 - 65 MPH, the steering wheel seized. The following days later while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel started pulling to the left and right and then seized. The contact manipulated the steering wheel with more force than normal and was able to properly steer the vehicle. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that it might be several months before parts became available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

While checking the harness/tightening I pulled to check for any slack and I was able to pull the loose without using the harness release lever. I had my child get out of the seat to check. I’ve cleaned out around the lever and still have the same issue. Nothing has been taken apart or altered since this issue. Harness straps are in good condition and everything is connected as it should be.

The steering on my vehicle has spots where it sticks and I have to use more force to continue. I took it to my local dealer and was told the rack and pinion assembly needed to be replaced. I was also told the part I needed was out of stock and they did not know when it would be back in stock. They said they would order the part when it became available and I have heard nothing from them. My car has 41,000 miles on it. I researched and found a recall on this issue but was told it did not apply to my car. I contacted Honda and was told they would not cover it due to the year on my car even with the low mileage. The car is not safe to drive. The longer you drive it the more it sticks .

Steering wheel gets sticky with slight turns; car drifts while driving highway speeds and the sticky steering causes over correction which causes vehicle to move all over the road. Research done on this shows that this is a known issue with Honda Civics and the fix is to replace the steering rack. Local dealership confirmed this.

Driving on highway to work when check engine light came on in addition to "Emissions System Problem", "Hill Start Assist", "Power Steering Issue", etc. When scanned for codes it showed misfire codes P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304. When spark plugs and coils were changed one set showed signs of rust. The misfires persisted after changing out these parts. When taken to the dealership they stated that the powertrain warranty had been extended to 6yrs from the original date of purchase because of an oil dilution issue. My car was outside of this warranty and the dealer did not offer to help with repairs. I called Honda of America and explained the situation - they also stated that it was outside of warranty. My mechanic has recommended an engine replacement and estimates repair costs over $4000+ for a used engine. Radiator fluid had been topped off 3-4 times this year but we did not realize it was leaking into the engine. A full recall should be issued for this, it is a known issue and Honda is aware of it. The warranty extension is not enough if the issue is going to keep occurring.

The chain stretched and camshaft tensioner had to be replaced. The tech said this could only happen with low or insufficient oil, but every oil change on this car was done on time. There was a previous settlement because this engine has a known defect where fuel gets into the oil. Honda refused to honor the extended warranty agreed to in the settlement because the error codes that came up were PO341 CMP Sensor A and CKP Sensor Incorrect Phase Detected) and we had to pay $2,348.30 for repair of parts (chain, camshaft tensioner) that should have lasted the life of the vehicle without replacement.

I have noticed that the paint on my Honda Civic 2017 is flaking and peeling off. The issue is most apparent on the side of the rear view glass and near the right-side tail light which seems to be worsening over time. It was my sister’s car before she gave it to me. She took care of it before she passed away and now I’ll continue to take good care of her car and have not had any repainting or significant damage in the affected areas that I know of. This seems to be an issue with the paint adhering properly, and I am concerned about further damage, including potential rust which I’m starting to notice. I kindly request that Honda evaluate this as a possible manufacturing defect and let me know if it can be addressed under warranty. Attached are photos of the affected areas for your review. Please let me know the next steps to resolve this issue.

To whom it may concern, How are you? The reason for me contacting you today is because I am really not happy with the false advertising that Honda has done to me. You see, I recently purchased a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Touring because it was advertised on Honda's website (and still is) that the fuel tank capacity is 12.4 gallons. However, today when I went to fill up my new car for the first time after 346 miles, which I thought was quite strange since I should be getting over 400 miles if this was a 12.4 gallon tank, I only was able to put in 8.374 gallons after the fuel light came on. Why is this? If the car is rated to have a 12.4 gallon tank, then I should be able to put in closer to 12.4 gallons. Probably around 11 gallons because of the reserve. What I think happened is that someone screwed up and put the 12.4 gallon fuel tank capacity from the non-hybrid version of this vehicle instead of the hybrid one, which for the sedan is 10.6 gallons. Knowing this, I would never have purchased the vehicle. This is false advertisement! To the point, where I thought today I should have put more fuel into my vehicle even after the pump stopped because I should be near the 12.4 gallon capacity. I believe this is a safety issue/concerns if someone thinks this as well. So what do I do now in this situation?! I thought I was purchasing a vehicle with a 12.4 gallon capacity and now I know it's false. I have a screenshot of this, which is attached and also a screen recording also that I will be keeping for my records. Thank you, [XXX] . Due to a faulty malfunctioning manufactured back up camera and front dashboard display, my sister backed into another car while parallel parking, resulting in a damages on the paint of the back bumper and further indentation. Additionally this issue happens all of sudden no matter what the weather condition or temperature outside is which increases the risk of a crash with vehicle behind or injury to a pedestrian. I have proof of this happening and it seems forums online have reported this issue to

The paint is peeling around the back window. Down to the primer/metal. I first noticed it around 3/15/2022. It first started to bubble. Now it's flaking off. The color of the vehicle is Modern Steel Metallic.
