- #11740820May 29, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated that upon intermittent starts of the vehicle, several, various warning messages would appear on the instrument panel. Warning messages such as tire pressure monitor, brake system problem, brake hose system, etc would all appear on the instrument panel and would remain on the instrument panel until the system would be cleared by the dealer. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer on multiple occasions to address the failure; however, the dealer could not diagnose the failure. The vehicle was then taken to Honda Of Tomball(22727 Tomball Pkwy, Tomball, TX 77375) where they diagnosed the vehicle with a defective head gasket. The contact refuted the diagnostic and took the vehicle back to the original dealer where they agreed with the contact that there was not an issue with the head gasket. The contact stated that both the battery, coil pack and spark plugs were replaced; however, the failure would return within weeks after repair. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

- #11740829May 29, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
When driving down a state highway in town, about 40-45mph, with no cars or objects in front of me and within the lanes - aka nothing unusual - my dash lit up with the orange "BRAKE!" warning and then slammed on my brakes. I had no idea at the time that my vehicle could even do that, as I'd had it at least three years and, while I'd had false warnings because of a line on the road or something, it had never done that. Luckily, there were not cars close behind me, because it was disorienting and took a moment to realize what was happening and adjust my driving to correct it. It was incredibly concerning, and I searched for what feature would even do that and how I could turn it off. I've told many people about it since, as it's the kind of thing that makes using "safety features" of a vehicle untrustworthy, let alone what could've happened had there been cars behind me at that moment.

The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) warning light is lit up on dashboard. Does not go away. Mentioned it to the dealership and I was told having items in the seat could trigger it or if there not enough weight. But even if there nothing or someone in my passenger seat the SRS aways come up.

I am writing to formally report a severe safety incident caused by a sudden head gasket failure in my vehicle. While driving on a busy highway, the car abruptly entered "limp mode" and stopped accelerating altogether, putting my family’s safety at immediate risk. Simultaneously, all dashboard warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Honda dealership, where technicians confirmed that the sole mechanical issue is a failed head gasket. The vehicle is currently available for inspection.

10th Gen Honda Accord has a major engine design flaw allowing coolant to pass through the gasket mixing with fuel in the cylinders causing premature head gasket repair which also puts the injectors under immense stress due to high compression. While driving my 2019 Honda accord to the dealership for inspection. All the lights started flashing on the dash. Highlighting - Critical failure detected please stop driving when safe. After a few mins the car’s infotainment system shut off no electrical activity and the car shut off mid drive. Luckily, it was in the morning and not during peak traffic congestion. Had I been going on the expressway I could’ve harmed myself, or someone else. This is highly unacceptable that a car with only 96k miles has a serious engine issue like this. I have maintained the oil changes at the required intervals, changed the fuel pump under recall, tires, brakes etc. After towing to the dealership. Diagnostics were performed and it was confirmed that the coolant was empty and radiator low. Which then prompted the dealer to perform a borescope test for the cylinders and it was found that cylinder 3 had a misfire and was leaking coolant into the cylinders causing premature wear on the gasket as well. The car is out of warranty and the service advisor said to me that they had another Honda just like mine with the same issue. This isn’t an isolated incident and many owners with the 10th gens have the same exact issue nationwide and Honda turns a blind eye and expects us to pay over 6,000 for the repair it’s a total scam! They are making money hand over fist without any recall and just scamming their customers. This is truly unacceptable and should be investigated immediately and Honda reprimanded!

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my 2018 Honda Accord [VIN# [XXX] ] concerning what I believe to be a defective cylinder head or head gasket — an issue I have since learned is widely reported within the Honda owner community and is currently the subject of active class action litigation. Beginning at approximately 89,000 miles, my vehicle began experiencing episodes of engine rumbling followed by sudden shutoff. These episodes occurred two to three times before I brought the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership at approximately 99,000–105,000 miles for diagnosis. At the dealership, I paid for a diagnostic inspection. I was informed that the technicians could not identify the root cause without performing a full engine pull and internal inspection, which they estimated would cost several thousand dollars — with an additional cost of $5,000–$8,000 if the diagnosis confirmed a cracked cylinder head or failed head gasket. Unable to absorb this expense, I did not authorize the repair. In an effort to keep the vehicle operational, I worked with independent mechanics and took the following corrective measures: replacement of spark plugs and ignition coils, replacement of the electric water pump, regular oil changes, maintenance of proper coolant levels, and avoidance of high or sudden acceleration. These measures allowed me to operate the vehicle for approximately one additional year without a recurrence of the shutoff events. Last summer, the vehicle failed to start entirely and could not be made operable. I was required to have it towed approximately 60 miles to its destination. The vehicle has not been operable since. Upon opening the hood, I observed coolant splashed across the engine cover consistent with a catastrophic head gasket failure. This failure occurred despite the vehicle being well maintained throughout my ownership. I believe this represents a known and systemic defect in Honda engine design for this model year. I own a 2018 Honda Accord with approximately 108,000 miles. My vehicle has experienced ongoing fuel system and drivability issues connected to the fuel pump recall. It took over two years for Honda to complete the recall repair due to delays and lack of available parts. During that time, my vehicle developed additional issues including failed fuel injectors that required replacement. Even after those repairs, the vehicle continues going into limp mode, causing loss of power and creating a serious safety concern while driving. When I brought the vehicle to Honda for diagnosis, I was charged approximately $180 just to scan the vehicle and then quoted nearly $4,000 in additional repairs. In addition, my vehicle experiences what many Honda owners refer to as the “Christmas lights” issue, where multiple warning lights suddenly illuminate across the dashboard at the same time. This appears to be a widespread complaint among owners of this model and is often associated with ongoing fuel system, electrical, or sensor-related problems. Honda vehicles are marketed as reliable, yet many owners of this model have reported similar problems related to the fuel system, injectors, limp mode, and dashboard warning light failures after the recall issues. I believe the prolonged delay in addressing the recall contributed to further damage to my vehicle. Honda should take responsibility for these known issues and provide assistance to affected customers.

VEHICLE: 2019 Honda Accord LX SUMMARY OF SAFETY DEFECTS & FAILURE: My vehicle is experiencing severe, dangerous mechanical and electrical failures identical to existing national safety recalls, yet my specific VIN is being excluded by the manufacturer. 1. FUEL SYSTEM FAILURE & ENGINE STALLING: The vehicle is experiencing sudden engine stalling and failure to start due to a defective low-pressure fuel pump. This matches the exact failure profile of NHTSA Recall Numbers 23V-858, 21V-215, and 20V-314 (Honda Campaigns KGC/KGD). This defect causes the vehicle to lose power unexpectedly, creating an immediate crash hazard on active roadways. 2. BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DEFECT: The vehicle is suffering from critical electrical disruptions, resulting in erratic component failures including [mention any specific symptoms you have, e.g., malfunctioning windshield wipers, defrosoter failure, rear-view camera blacking out, or power window errors]. This perfectly mirrors the systemic programming defect outlined in NHTSA Recall Number 20V-771 (Honda Campaign X95). DEALER DIAGNOSIS & MANUFACTURER DENIAL: I have taken the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership multiple times. - In June 2025, the BCM software issues were initially dismissed by the dealer as a general electrical problem. - A subsequent comprehensive diagnostic confirmed the fuel pump and BCM failure, resulting in a repair estimate of $4,688. The dealership refused to cover the repairs under the safety recalls, citing that my VIN is not currently flagging "open recalls" in their corporate database. When referred to American Honda Motor Co. Corporate Customer Support, corporate summarily dismissed my complaint and refused any cost assistance or repair remedy, despite their clear knowledge that these exact defects plague the 2019 Accord LX model year. Because the manufacturer is utilizing restrictive VIN range loopholes to evade financial accountability for known safety hazards, I am filing this complaint

While driving the car it went in to limp mode, restricting the ability to maintain normal driving. It did this because the head gasket needs to replaced because coolant is leaking into # 3 cylinder. My wife and others were put at risk when she had to pull over in an area that was unsafe according to a Summerville police officer who came to her aid and helped her get the car to a safe area.

Bought this car, drove it home and realized when i drove slow, or stopped and turned wheel it made a clink/creeking noise. Took it to Honda where i bought it, they said it was the "power steering rack" which is known to have issues. told me it wasnt a safety issue and was safe to drive, they cannot replace it for free unless there is a recall. Looked up online and saw there was in fact recalls for this, just not my car. My 2024 only has 36k miles shouldnt already have issues with such low miles.

Infotainment system randomly cycles through menu, as if I'm pressing buttons on the screen. It will lose navigation, randomly call my contacts and audio will turn off and on. This is extremely unsafe. Once it starts doing this the screen becomes unresponsive to actual touch. I can't stop it if I want to. I'm stuck disconnecting my phone and using the screen as navigation, constantly looking down while driving or holding the phone to make a phone call. Local Honda dealerships have told me that it's a common problem with no solution.

While driving my vehicle suddenly would not accelerate above 20 mph and warning lights all over the dash lit up (check engine, abs brake system, adaptive cruise control, vehicle stability, power steering, hill assist, and brake hold). I took it for a diagnostic, it gave a code for cylinder 3 misfire. I got a tune up the next day along with a fuel system cleaning just to be safe. After about 35 miles of driving I had the same issue 2 days after the tune up, this time no warning lights. I took it back to the shop and this time the spark plug in cylinder 4 was bad. I believe I am at the beginning of what many others have complained about with these same symptoms. This problem makes operation of my vehicle unsafe and uncertain, at any time this issue can kick in and now you are limping along at 20 mph while cars zoom all around you. While trying to get the vehicle to the shop I created traffic buildups and was almost hit multiple times due to the vehicles diminished acceleration.

Steering gear box. UNKNOWN. For some time now I've noticed that my steering has been acting very unusual on a straight away. I would describe it as a sticky feeling. Just checking, have your ever heard of this on Hondas? Could this possibly be a safety issue?

Loud unbearable static noises coming from speakers. Hard to stay focused when driving. Was told by the dealership that it's the radio control head.. Very expensive to replace. Now I'm hearing a lot more people are having the same issue with their Honda Accord. This is a mental and road safety concern and should be recalled.
