After driving for about 20 -30 minutes there is a very, very loud noise that appears to come from the stereo speakers (even if the stereo system isn’t on). It is so loud that I do not hear emergency personnel coming. It has been several occasions that an accident is almost caused because of not being able to hear police or ambulance sirens. It just started happening out of nowhere. I have all factory equipment on the vehicle so I’m not sure why this is happening. Honda really need to fix this before there are fatalities.

ENGINE, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
I received a letter in the mail stating that my fuel injections had a recall. 2024 Feb-Mar. Letter stated that I would not be able to get it fit until the fall because Honda Parts were backed up. At about May all my dash board lights were on, check engine, TPS, tire pressure. I assumed it was from the recall. At that time I had about 120,000 or 130,000 on my car, I'll have to check my oil change reports. Nov 2024 I was finally about to get my fuel injection fix, per the dealership. Lights were still on afterwards. Now February 2025, I get it check out, I need a new Turbo and an Engine because my gasket has blown. About December of 2024 I noticed I had issues with accelerating. My car jerks causing me some safety issues. This is my only car. I am afraid to drive it.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine overheating warning light illuminated, and the engine overheated. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. The contact performed an inspection under the hood of the vehicle. The contact checked the coolant level and determined the coolant level was low and the coolant reservoir was refilled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with head gasket failure. The contact was informed that the head gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

ENGINE
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the vehicle was idling rough when started. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed, and the contact was made aware of misfires in cylinders #1 and #4. The contact was informed that the coil packs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that on another occasion while driving 65 MPH on Interstate 75, the vehicle lost power. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact merged to the side of the road to exit the interstate. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer and was diagnosed with misfires in cylinders #1 and #4, and the coil packs needed to be replaced. The dealer notified the contact of the recall for the fuel pump, and the vehicle was repaired for the most recent failure, and the recall repair was performed. The contact stated that the failure persisted, and the engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Note the malfunction described below is CURRENTLY UNDER RECALL for multiple Honda models but has not YET been recalled for the 2021Accord Sport SE. PLEASE ADD TO THE LIST!! I was driving when warning lights flashed, car started to slow down and then shut off. I repeatedly tried to start my vehicle which was unsuccessful. I took my car to Honda and had the low pressure fuel pump changed on 8-1-2024. Today 2-5-2025, it happened again. Seems to be the high pressure fuel pump this time. I did research and this seems to be an issue with a lot of Hondas. Please research and add this to this list. Not to mention my 2021 Accord only has 70k miles

Approx. one year ago, my 2018 Honda Accord LX completely shut down while traveling at 35 mph. The engine light was flashing and I lost all power with only enough to pull over safely on the side of the road, I was terrified and called AAA who came and towed it to a local mechanic. At the time I was unaware of the recall. My mechanic did diagnostic test and found nothing. He explained the car went into "limp mode", indicating there was something wrong. The car started fine and I took it to our local Honda dealer for service. They had the car for 3 days, finding no issues, but explained it could be related to the recall. I was told the parts for the recall were unavailable and I would be notified when they came in. This week it happened again! I just contacted the dealer for status on the parts and was told I am 160 on a waiting list for the recalled parts and that they were sporadically coming in. I am afraid to drive the car, uncertain if this will happen again at a high rate of speed. I am a retired senior with limited income and need this resolved ASAP. My 2013 Honda Accord touring with 110,000 miles all of a sudden all the lights on the dash came on. I took it to the dealer. The dealer told me that the electronic control module or the vehicle stability control module was bad. At that time, the dealer could not get the part and at that time, the part was $1400so a year later. when I had the money I went to get the car fixed at that point the part was $2600. It cost me $3500 to get the vehicle repaired. It was not under warranty. There was no recall and I was left holding the bag I have found there are many cases of the same part going bad and Honda refuses to accept responsibility, leaving us owners out in the cold.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was driving on the freeway going around 50 MPH and out of nowhere the car slammed on brakes so hard that it slammed me in my seat. No cars were in front or behind me. So there were no accidents that occurred from this incident. But it certainly did scare me.

SERVICE BRAKES, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
The rear brakes are horrible. They wear so quick. This is my 3rd Honda Accord and I’ve never replaced brakes this much on any Accord I’ve ever owned. Back tires also wear really fast. The rear brakes squeal really bad and makes squealing noises when I’m driving. No brakes are being applied but the noise continues. I’ve had this car for 3 years and I’ve changed brakes 3 times which is ridiculous.

The lettering of the gear shift and signal light/ wiper switches run off easily making it hard to see in dark places and at night. Bring that those switches are the most crucial when operating the vehicle the white lettering should be sustainable and durable making the visibility great whether driving during the day or night.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The accelerator is going out when I drive. The car drives slow and pulls back while driving. Thought it was fuel pump, took it in for fuel pump recall, & the car is still doing the same thing, no change. All lights on dashboard are on. The safety of my children & myself has been put at risk quite a few times. While driving the car getting on the freeway ramp, the accelerator went out going up an hill and luckily I was able to put my emergency lights on & able to barely get over to the right side. My car almost stalled. I’ve taken it to the dealer a few times. When I took it to fix fuel pump recall, they said 2 other codes were coming on. I took it in again this past week to check those 2 codes hoping to get it fixed & he said now other codes were coming up. They couldn’t seem to find the problem. The guy said they had been working on it since 9am and it was almost 4 pm when I talked to him. He called me an hour later to say it could possibly be the head gasket but not for sure. My vehicle has been inspected by the Honda dealer. When the problem first happened on the freeway warning lights came on. Warning lights on are: Collisions mitigation braking system on, adaptive cruise control problem on, hill start assist problem vehicle may roll on, vehicle stability assist system problem on, electric power steering system problem on, brake hold system problem on, brake system problem performance on, tire pressure system monitor on, emission system problem on.

steering wheel jerks hard out of my hands. Car, especially in direct sunlight jerks the wheel thinking that I'm not in the center of my lane, even though I was centered. Hard to control the car.

SEAT BELTS
On 2/3/25 a warning light came on in my 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid while driving home (supplemental restraint system problem, see your dealer). I immediately called the Honda dealer where I get my car serviced to explain the problem. I was told I would need to bring the car in and pay $200 for a diagnostic and they would have to keep the car for a few days. Well I know the problem, MY DRIVER SEATBELT NO LONGER LOCKS WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES. I TESTED IT THE WHOLE 1 HOUR DRIVE HOME. I then called Honda Customer service and they were closed. However they did mention the car I have based on my phone number and said there were no recalls. I was in a panic driving home from work for an hour with no fully functioning seat belt. I went online and there is a seat belt recall on Honda cars but apparently not the year mine was made. I bought my car brand new, it's only 6 years old and I expect to have functioning seatbelts. I also do not expect to pay out of pocket for ANY DIAGNOSTIC COST WHEN MY SEAT BELT CLEARLY NO LONGER FUNCTIONS AS IT SHOULD. I would like this information reported to Honda ASAP. I do not have a second car and I'm in a panic about having to drive to work. Please HELP ME. I will also try again to call Honda corporate office tomorrow.

As I am driving my speakers (all of them) will randomly sound like static and its very loud and obnoxious. Its disturbing and can be a huge hazard while driving. I have looked it up and it seems tons of people are having the same issues in their 2016 and 2017 honda accords. Seeing how common it seems to be online in these cars i do not think its fair for us to have to pay for this issue…

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Vehicle emergency braking system randomly triggered, causing me to completely stop from 40mph to 0mph in the middle of a intersection. Almost got rear-ended. NO vehicles were infront of me to trigger the emergency braking system. Vehicle has not been taken to dealership yet.

Traction Control/ABS/Brake lights turn on 122-11 VSA Solenoid Valve Malfunction and 83-11 which causes pcm malfunction. This is a known problem with Honda vehicles and should be a recall. When this error occurs traction/abs/brake, LDW fcw are disabled. The fix for this is over $1000.00.

I'm getting an extremely loud static noise from my audio system, even when it's turned off. I've been experiencing this issue for the past year. It seems to be heat related (it's much worse when it's hot outside). I checked online and it looks like many Honda Accord owners are having the same problem (see https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/17-accord-radio-static.550224/). It's so loud that I can't hear anything outside of my vehicle, such as emergency vehicles. I'm surprised there hasn't been a recall for this issue.
