The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the front passenger’s seat air bag control module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.

-Back brake light system failure. -Safety of a rearend accident compromised when tail light does not work properly. -Yes, a repair shop confirmed the $975 unit needs to be replaced and is on back order for one month putting our safety at risk. -No warning has appeared. I, like thousands of other GMC owners have been frustrated to no end, having to deal with a cracked and highly unsafe vehicle dashboard. I own a 2011 GMC Yukon and my dashboard has cracked so bad, that it’s not only aesthetically unappealing but it poses a grave danger to myself and all passengers inside. If I were to be involved in an accident and the airbag deploy, it would send shards of hard sharp plastic through our faces. You can imagine how much pressure would be behind those sharp pieces as they embed into someone’s face. GMC owes it to its consumers to recall these dashboards and make it right. I feel GMC is intentionally and wrecklessly placing my family in danger by blatantly refusing to recall this obvious problem. As an American consumer, can you help me with this please? Thank you

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Passenger brake light stop working. Had the dealer ship inspect the light and was informed that the whole unit had to be replaced at a cost of $1000. so I purchased the part for $800. and replaced it myself tech. informed me that GM had a recall on the 2015 and 2016 model's but has not included the 2017 model year

Dash board is cracking in multiple spots. Have contacted GMC multiple times over the years to get it fixed. GMC will not fix or replace even though I have been having the same problem since 2014-2015. New cracks keep appearing.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
May 31st 2022-While driving on the highway, I lost control of my power steering. Luckily my husband was with me to drive it back home. June 1st 2022-Took it to a service center and was told it needed a part to fix the problem. We ordered the part, which would not be delivered until may 6th 2022. June 4th 2022- Went to drive, made it a couple blocks down the road when the ABS, electronic stability control, & the engine light came on. So I turned around to take it back home, only now my power steering was completely out, my car would not shift out of first gear. After arriving home, I attempted to put it in park but was unable to. My motor shut off but would not allow me to place it in park or turn the electric power off. The only option I had was to disconnect the battery. I let it sit for a few hours, reconnected the battery, now my car will not start at all. I am now unable to take my car to the dealership due to power failure Note: June 2nd & 3rd, my vehicle was not driven I did contact my local dealer to check if there were any open recalls, was told no

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The drivers side rear brake lights stopped working. GM did a warranty extension ( that admits an issue).but ours just expired.. this is an $800 to $1000 repair that owners should NOT have to pay.. GM refuses to cover this expense. This is an absolute SAFTEY ISSUE. Of course, any law enforcement officer will agree as they will write a safety violation ticket (as they should) I understand that owners are responsible for all maintenance of their vehicles, but this issue is a flaw in design. Most owners ( like us) can’t afford to pay this outrageous price for a simple break light replacement. As the entity of government that oversees the manufacture of these vehicles, there MUST be a safety recall!! Honestly, I am disappointed that no safety recall hasn’t been ordered for this issue. This problem is going to result in many many rear end accidents. Please fix this and save lives. ENGINE, FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP:CONTROL/DRIVE MODULE
The contact owns a 2021 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling in a drive-thru, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that no warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that he was able to restart the vehicle and drove the vehicle with no issues however, the next day the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the failure was diagnosed as a power control module malfunction. The contact stated that the power control module was replaced under warranty. The contact stated that failure recurred several weeks later. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where the failure was unable to be replicated. The vehicle was test-driven at the dealer for about 50 miles and no repairs were completed. The contact stated that the failure recurred for the third time and was awaiting a tow to the dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the contact was unsure if the vehicle was included or had been previously repaired under the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The contact stated that he was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was 5,400.

In my 2013 Yukon Denali XL the dash has cracked. It is very common for these to crack over time and I think they should fix it. Also the seat on the driver side is torn.

A message keeps popping up, “trailer brake system” it is poor wiring on GMC part. I did research on this and looked it up and other people had similar issues which can be very severe if driver continues to use after this message pops up. The message is so continuous that it could distract the driver, which could lead to a fatal accident.

SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Received a message on driver information system that states service trailer brake system. When towing a trailer, the trailer brakes are inoperable and pose a safety risk in the event of a sudden brake event. GM apparently has a service bulletin published for this message which indicated a replacement of the connector in the wire harness should be performed. Although I don't tow trailers often, I should be able to rely on this feature in my vehicle. My vehicle only has 70,000 miles and this is too soon for such a part to become faulty.

On Feb.21-2020 cracks were noticed on all four tires [ only 11,000 miles ] and rubber started to fall off [separation] pics att. With side walls cracking, are these tires safe? [ from blow out ]? I am a senior cit. and do not have the $1500. to replace these four tires, is there a recall? I was driving with a trailer that has brakes. A warning system light came on “trailer brake system” service came on blind the digital speedometer. Brakes would not engage. A couple of day later same thin came on now with out a trailer. The warning would not go away and kept on chumming every 10 seconds.
