The contact owns a 2022 GMC Yukon. The contact stated while driving 75 MPH, several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The contact stated that the vehicle was not drivable and was towed to the residence, where an independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine had seized. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to the warranty expiring. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.

FUEL PUMP POWER CONTROL MODULE SKU NUMBER 13537053 brand new GMC denali less than 9000 miles had serviced for 5 previous recalls drove for a week. Truck completely shut down on road no power will cause serious or death if person is on highway as engine turns off and car shuts down due to electric shift cant put car in neutral not even with key from key fob so if get vehicle towed cant even shift into neutral big fail on gm part and will cause major issues as vehicle just shuts off do to this issue no service light. Major accident waiting to habit and back ordered parts on a expensive machine

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The lighting on the entire interior infotainment area will randomly go bright and dim all by itself. I was almost in an accident on the interstate due to this. It was blinding and distracting to have the lighting dim and then go bright. It has been randomly doing this for about a month. I called GMC and they said they had no record of this happening on other vehicles, however when I searched for the issue with my vehicle, I realized other GMC owners have experienced the same issue. I was able to get a video of it happening one morning while waiting in my driveway to drop my kids off at the bus stop. I was in the parked position. There are no warning or messages when the lighting malfunctions, so I am not at all prepared when the car turns the lighting to MAX brightness. It poses a risk when driving by blinding the driver, causing the driver to loose focus while driving trying to adjust the lighting back to dim. It is an unnecessary distraction. The dealership couldn't confirm any malfunctions in my car. As previously stated, I have a video of the malfunction, but I am not able to upload it. I am willing to send via email.

This happened 5 years ago but I never reported it. GMC 2017 Yukon. I put my SUV in park, and entered and exited it several times while parked in my driveway. When I went to grab my purse (standing at drivers side door, reaching for purse on passenger seat) the car rolled. I was on a sloped driveway. The car rolled backwards, and I tried to jam it into park more strongly, but it just made a grinding noise and kept going. I was knocked over by the car door, pulled under the car and ended up having my legs run over by the car. I sustained injuries which affect me to this day. I was transported to the hospital by an ambulance after a 911 call, so I presume there is a police report. I was injured and dazed. This happened on [XXX]. I am only reporting it now since I never thought about doing so before I read an article today about cars being recalled for this problem. If other people have my model of car and this is a problem, I would want them to know. I was thinking maybe I hit the gear shift with my purse and knocked it out of park, but this should not have happened without the brake depressed. I was standing next to the drivers side door when this happened. I did have the car taken to the dealership to be examined, and they said it was ok, but could not really explain how this happened. I still have this SUV but am very cautious about any situation where the car could roll when in park and cause injury. The car crashed into a tree and that stopped the rolling. Has there been other reports of this happening with this model of car? I would like to know, because if there is a problem that has come to light in this, I will get a different vehicle! SUSPENSION
Rear Lower control mounts completely rusted out allowing the rear to move back and the driveshaft to come out of the transmission. Fortunately, this happened 1 block from home at a stop sign, if it occurred on a highway, it would have caused a major accident and likely injuries. Complete frame is rusted to the point of failure, heard from others that this has happened to other makes of GM products, Tahoe, Chevy pickup trucks. They likely all share the same frame.

20221 GMC Yukon Denali Suddenly comes to a stop ,” it brakes hard “ It acts like when you are almost gonna hit someone and brakes engage so hard. Jerks everyone to the front !no other lights coming on or anything else! For now it’s been doing it at slow speed , really don’t wanna experience it at a high speed , pls help these vehicles are so expensive to be dealing with this . This is my wife and kids vehicle

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Rear (Tail/Stop) lights on both sides, would work intermittently. Turns out it’s a known issue with the LED circuit boards. They consistently break in 2 places, leaving the vehicle with no tail lights/stip lights. GM knows of the issue , but since it’s NOT CONSIDERED a Safety Issue, they do nothing. It’s clearly a safety issue, as following drivers may not see lights, on the rear. Clearly, it is definitely a safety issue, as it can easily cause an accident, not knowing a car is there in the dark , or not knowing that the vehicle in front of them is on the brakes, and slowing.

My family and I purchased this vehicle brand new in August 2021. We live in Phoenix Arizona and bought it from Earnhardt Buick & GMA in Mesa, AZ. While driving the vehicle in the last few weeks I personally could smell a strong odor of fumes in the cabin when the A/C or Heater were on. After a few days of noticing it my nose got numb to the odor as I dismissed it and kept driving the vehicle. After about a week, I had my two kids in the vehicle, they both noticed and made comments on how strong the odor of fumes were. We decided to not utilize the A/C or the Heater and contacted the dealer for investigation and repairs. This is a very serious health hazard as I and my family were exposed to exhaust fumes entering the cabin. For a few days and nights I suffered headaches and some dizziness as I was driving mostly the vehicle. We did take it to Earnhardt Buick & GMA in Mesa, AZ for investigation and repair. The maintenance supervisor confirmed that indeed somehow the exhaust had some crack that allowed fumes to enter the ventilation system. The Vehicle is now under repair at the dealership. I was notified by the maintenance advisor that this defect would not be cover under warranty as the vehicle is out of manufacture warranty. I Also had purchased an extended warranty (Platinum) which they had stated "bumper to bumper", but this also does not cover the manufactures defect. There were no warning lights associated with this problem. I would strongly recommend that inspections be made, especially if some drivers have problem with smell and odors. POWER TRAIN
Transmission /torque converter I was driving on highway and all of a sudden what seemed like the engine lost power and I could not accelerate. After heading to slow lane and few seconds later everything went back to normal. A week later same thing happened but this time it wouldn’t shift to second gear. I was stranded on side of road. Before calling help , I let it idle for a few minutes and tried again to put in drive, it worked again. I made it home. Next day it just started making a loud noise under truck. Was able to get a mechanic and he said it’s the transmission. Has 103k miles and is out of warranty

The contact owns a 2021 GMC Yukon. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, upon accelerating from a light, the vehicle began to shake and decelerated and failed to accelerate and exceed 25 MPH. The vehicle accelerated, jerked, and stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump control module needed to be replaced. The mechanic informed the contact that the parts were on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 67,150.

While driving, the vehicle display screen and lights start turning off and on. The warning lamp says " service trailer brake system" and the vehicle is unable to accelerate at all. Leaving me at a stand still in the middle of the road. It's a safely hazard because it happens suddenly and without warning and I am unable to move my vehicle so I'm just in the middle of the road. I haven't taken it in to the dealership yet. I looked online and there is a recall called " chassis electronic control module internal contamination" that meets the description of what's going on here, but when I called GMC they said there is no recall for my specific Vin, even though the recall is for my make model and year.

The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, and it was determined that the ABS needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. It is just like the the service bulletin out for the 2006 and later gmc sierra except it’s for a 2004 gmc Yukon slt 4x4 4.8L. It is going into reduced engine power mode and it has to do with the throttle actuator control module. Throws code P2108

VISIBILITY/WIPER, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
Brand new vehicle, at about 5k miles the backup camera went out in April 2023. It is now December of 2023 and I have not had any sort of resolution. I have 3 children ages 2, 4 and 5 and it is very concerning for me and my wife to not have a backup camera especially at night.
