  This Preliminary information communicates concerns created by an aftermarket ECM calibration installed by fleet companies.  The Fleet companies install aftermarket ECM calibrations to limit the vehicle speed to approximately 70 mph and reduce the over all power output. This calibration also reduces the engine idle speed and may induce a vibration at idle. If the vehicle needs to be returned to factory specifications, the ECM must be replaced and programmed.

Dealers are to replace the front seat heater control module, reprogram the body control module and on some vehicles, reprogram the HVAC control module. Note: Some vehicles may also require an additional retrofit of the Left and Right Front Seat Cushion Ventilation Blower in order to restore full functionality of the ventilated seats. Vehicles built with this condition can be identified by RPO 04O. Use IVH to verify if the vehicle is currently eligible in the Front Seat Cushion Vent Blowers Retrofit bulletin N222378560. If so, both retrofits should be performed at the same time.
