Onstar hardware failure. I have already replaced the onstar module in 2023 due to failure. Now the hardware has failed again. No longer under warranty and GM will not replace.

This vehicle is subject to Safety Recall N252494000 / NHTSA Campaign 25V274 for a known L87 6.2L V8 engine defect. Prior to the June 2025 recall notice, I incurred repair costs for the same defect at Schumacher Chevrolet, [XXX], on XXX ($405.63) and XXX ($2,755.76), neither of which resolved the issue. On XXX and again on 02/14/2025, the vehicle suffered total loss of propulsion on [XXX], once causing a missed professional licensing exam and requiring emergency roadside repair. The vehicle's engine replacement repair order remained open for 181 consecutive days (XXX) before GM authorized a full engine replacement under warranty. I submitted a written reimbursement demand to GM on XXX for $10,717.31 in documented losses under 49 CFR § 577.7. GM has not responded in writing and instead offered an unverifiable verbal credit of $3,000, which the servicing dealer has no record of. I am filing this complaint due to GM's failure to remedy this known, pre-notification defect within a reasonable time as required by 49 U.S.C. § 30120. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The transmission began slipping at 20, 25, 35, and 45 mph by the time we hit 80k miles. The vehicle was out of warranty. We were told it was unaffected by the recalls and not related to the issues affecting other drivers. It now has 167k miles and we have tried having the transmission flushed but it still slips and needs a new transmission. Chevy knows about these issues and refuses to replace their horrible product since they also sell the cure to the problem and make money off of it.

2022 Chevy Tahoe went into limp mode at 62,500 miles out of the blue and check engine light came on. At the certified Chevy dealership I was told it was the transmission control valve, Code P2732, which is a known widespread factory issue in these models. Upon further inspection, was told my transmission fluid was completely black and burned and it ruined the transmission and therefore it needs to be replaced. "Consequential Damage Policy: When a control valve body fails and stays "stuck on," it forces maximum line pressure through the system. Continuing to drive under these conditions quickly destroys the internal clutch packs, burns the fluid, and melts down the transmission." This is exactly what happened and my vehicle was never put on a recall list but clearly was a ticking time bomb.

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that upon attempting to fasten the rear drivers side third row seatbelt they had noticed that the cross lap piece would not secure itself into the latch. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was inspected and the contact was advised that the housing buckle units were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number : 22V617000 (SEAT BELTS) as probable cause for the failure. The manufacture was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000.
