Ford Motor Company conducted the Recall that is referenced on 04/14/2026. It is now 07/07/2026 (almost 3 months later) and FORD still has not provided the fix for this recall. It is my understanding that this recall is a software issue; if so, why has FORD taken so long to provide the fix. The reason for my complaint at this time is that i was using my Ford F-150 on the TURO platform. TURO is a car sharing platform. The Ford was being rented on the TURO platform when the recall happened in April 2026. That individual that had the truck rented had to return the vehicle due to this safety recall. Also, on the day of the recall, TURO "delisted" the truck (which is required by law or by TURO's policy) and it can not be rented again until that safety recall is addressed. Also, i had another booking on the TURO platform that had to be cancelled because of this safety recall. Thus, this safety recall has not impacted me financially as well as other individuals that use their vehicles to produce an income to make a living. At this point, I rarely use the truck as well due to this safety recall. I believe that FORD should provide the remedy/corrective action for this safety issue sooner than later. To identity such an issue then to take this long to provide the fix (especially is this is a software issue), seems egregious. I would like some assistance in pressing FORD to provide this fix due to the safety issue itself and due to the financial loss that it has caused. I'm attaching a report from the TURO platform (excluding the names of the renters) in order to see the potential financial impact.

Vehicle initially had a delayed shift, then began to engage really roughly. Thereafter, going down the interstate while traveling at a moderate rate of speed it briefly locked up and then I lost forward movement. After taking it into a dealership several times and reporting the problem, they couldn’t find any issues. Now the transmission gets hot when I travel for more than a couple of hours at around70 mph. I took it into service center today and they told me that Ford knows about the issue on my truck. They can fix it for a little over 10k, but I didn’t expect to purchase the truck with a defect. I would like some sort of recourse since I now researched the issues and found out it’s a serious problem all over.

This vehicle is a BEV with regenerative braking. At various times while driving, when the regenerative braking is engaged, the brake lights illuminate to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down. The problem is there is no indication inside the vehicle for the driver to know when the brake lights are on. This seems like a potential safety hazard. The driver can feel the effects of the regenerative braking and knows the vehicle is slowing but does not know when the slowing is enough to illuminate the brake lights. The driver's only option to ensure the brake lights are activated is to apply additional braking via the brake pedal but additional braking may not be the safest action to take in some situations. Depending on traffic, weather, and road conditions it would be safer for the driver to know when their brake lights are illuminated.

Failing transmission lead frame on a 2017 F-150 with a 6-speed transmission causing sudden, violent downshifts into low gears at highway speeds, risking severe rear-end crashes. On XXX, an authorized Ford dealership retrieved diagnostic trouble codes P0720 and P0722, confirming hardware component failure. The official dealership Repair Order explicitly states the transmission lead frame requires removal and replacement. This specific hardware failure is explicitly covered under Ford Recall 26S28 / NHTSA Campaign 26V237. Page 4 of the official Part 573 Safety Recall Report mandates that if a vehicle exhibits these specific codes prior to receiving the software update, dealers must replace the lead frame at no charge. The manufacturer and dealership are refusing to perform this mandatory safety remedy, citing 'Advanced Notice' status, leaving a verified unsafe vehicle on the road. I recently purchased a 2021 f-150 with 48,000 miles on it. Just over 60,000 miles I was noticing some bad shifting occurring with my 10R80 transmission. It progressively got worse by harsh shifting, terrible gear hunting, then finally after driving in manual for a couple days: I was in the middle lane of state road 41 approaching sun lake road, the light turned green and my truck went nowhere. I immediately put my hazards on as cars were trying to get around me and I tried to shift into gear. I managed to find 4th after at least a minute (it skipped 1-3) and I limped to the side of the road where my dad later came with his trailer to pick it up. This is a known issue that ford acknowledges with this particular year for the 10r80 (the CDF drum being the component that fails) yet they have done nothing to address it, even though they DID FIX IT it in the 22+ models. My truck is now at a shop with 60,646.1 miles where they are installing a new transmission for over $5,000 (awaiting for them to finish and I’ll provide the receipt / proof of purchase). Also, they couldn’t even put it in neutral to roll it off the trailer even after disconnecting the computer and manually shifting it from underneath the truck. I’m contacting NHTSA in hopes you can make some noise and file a complaint with Ford, they told me they won’t do anything since I’m out of warranty and there are no recalls for the transmission. It’s ridiculous that I’m dealing with this on just a 60k mile truck that’s a few hundred miles out of warranty and they know this is an issue.

Good Morning :) This is my second complaint (1st #XXX) as my truck completely shut down as I was leaving the shop around 4:30pm. As I accelerated it shut down in the middle of the street blocking traffic. I was able to start it again, however it shut down a second time as soon I accelerated. NOTE: On XXX I did take my truck into Ford for this issue, however nothing could be done as there was no solution yet. (Mileage 32899) Thank You, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed uphill, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the transmission was operating at a high speed, but the vehicle operated at a low speed. Within seconds, the speed independently increased, and the vehicle became uncontrollable. The vehicle rolled backward into an embankment and then into a concrete-lined ditch, bouncing out the other side. In addition, the contact noticed smoke coming from the tailpipe. The vehicle was driven to a nearby friend's residence. A police report was filed. The contact was taken to a local medical center, having sustained a bruised forehead, a bruised left ankle, and a bruised left knee. The contact was receiving continued treatment for the left ankle and left knee injuries. The insurance company did not inspect the vehicle, and the contact stated that the vehicle was only covered under liability insurance. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train); however, the parts were unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 183,115

- #11748514July 6, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SUSPENSION, STRUCTURE:BODY
Good Afternoon. The Pro Power Onboard high-voltage electrical system has experienced a permanent malfunction, locking out with a "Ground Fault Detected" warning. The vehicle is a 2021 Ford F-150 Rocky Ridge conversion. This failure stems directly from a defective or incomplete execution of Safety Recall 23S35 (NHTSA Campaign 23V613000).The initial remedy applied by the dealership consisted only of adding protective tape to the rear wiring harness. However, due to the increased travel and ride height of the official Rocky Ridge suspension lift, the wiring harness pulled out of its factory retaining side clip. This caused excessive tension and stretching on the high-voltage lines, completely exposing the bare interior colored wires and leaving them vulnerable to road moisture and friction against the metal frame. The system now triggers a permanent short-to-ground error, creating an imminent risk of an electrical short circuit or vehicle fire under the high-voltage (120V/240V) lines. The Ford dealership and corporate customer care refuse to remedy this recurring safety hazard under the recall warranty because it was previously marked as completed, even though the applied remedy failed to safely secure the harness. The component is available for inspection.

Transmission failure/malfunction (known issue), Harsh/Delayed Shifts, downshifting erratically, loss of power on the highway. I stopped driving the truck after having random loss of power going 75 mph, to having no acceleration and almost getting rear-ended twice. I took the truck in to Holmes Tuttle Ford in Tucson, Arizona to get the TCM reflashed. They confirmed the harsh/delayed shifting and told me it got worse after the reflash, but they were not able to reproduce the random loss of power. Whenever I experienced the truck going into "limp mode" there was a wrench warning lamp turning on. This is a known defect on the 10R80 transmissions, yet there is no safety recall on it. The truck has 100,242 miles on it.

Over the past year (2025) we have noticed that our F150 King Ranch occasionally was having a rough or harsh shift between the 7-8 gear. We took the Truck to the dealer where we purchased the Truck, Mullnax Ford of Central Florida, in the summer of 2025. We left the vehicle with the service manager, later he called us and indicated that the technician could not replicate the issue. Several months later in November, 2025, with the problem recurring all the time and also happening at other shift points. We took the truck back to the dealer, Mullnax Ford of Central Florida, 1551 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703. We left the vehicle with the service advisor, Sam. Later that day the service manager Sam said the technician “test drove the truck and said needs a new transmission at a cost of almost $10,000.” Based on research I conducted I determined that there was an existing TSB 25-2475 recently issued October 25, 2025 regarding this harsh/delayed shifting issue on the 10R80 transmission and applicable to our Truck. We have taking the truck to 2 Ford dealers asking them to perform the diagnostic process outlined in TSB 25-2475 The harsh shifting is not only annoying, the sudden sharp shift especially at lower speed presents a possible significant safety risk. The harsh shift many times causes the vehicle to lurch unexpectedly. The truck is only 5 years old and has less than 100k miles We sent certified letters to the CEO of Ford and to the Ford Customer Relationship Center, with no response. This is a wide spread problem and is well known to Ford.

NHTSA / Center for Auto Safety Formal Complaint Vehicle Information: * Year / Make / Model: 2014 Ford F-150 * Component Category: Service Brakes, Hydraulic / Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) * Affected Part: ABS Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) / Valve Assembly (Part # DL3Z-2C215-A / DL3Z-2C215-C) Incident / Issue Summary: I am reporting a critical safety concern involving a failure of the Anti-Lock Brake System Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) on my 2014 Ford F-150, combined with an indefinite manufacturer supply chain failure that renders the vehicle unable to be repaired to safe operating standards. The electronic ABS control module on my vehicle was inspected and rebuilt to functional specification; however, diagnostic testing confirmed that the internal mechanical/solenoid valves within the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) assembly are stuck/failing. This internal valve failure disables key safety features, including Anti-Lock Braking (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (AdvanceTrac), and Traction Control. Upon attempting to purchase an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement HCU assembly through Ford Motor Company and authorized dealerships, I was informed that the critical safety part is on an indefinite nationwide backorder with no estimated delivery date (ETA). Safety Risk & Regulatory Impact: 1. Loss of Safety Features: Without a functional HCU assembly, the vehicle operates without active ABS or AdvanceTrac traction/stability control, significantly increasing the risk of wheel lockup, vehicle skidding, and loss of directional control during emergency stopping or adverse weather conditions. 2. Unavailability of Safe Parts: Due to high failure rates across 2009–2014 F-150 models, the replacement supply chain is completely exhausted. Independent repair facilities refuse to install unverified, used, or salvaged junkyard units due to severe liability and safety risks. 3. Indefinite Stranding / Unsafe Driving: Owners are forced to either leave their primary vehicle

The front passenger brake caliper came completely off when I was driving.the only warning I had was when my brake pedal went straight to the floor when depressed.i was forced to pull into a gas station and keep driving in circles till the vehicle slowed enough to drive into a curb to stop so I could put the vehicle in park.i then had my vehicle towed home and replaced the part myself as I dont feel comfortable taking my vehicle to the dealership to be worked on because of past experiences. The other issue is when I accelerate my pcm goes into what I would call it as limp mode.the vehicle has no power to accelerate and it happens randomly.it will stay like that until the vehicle is turned off and key removed for atleast 15 minutes.when started back up it is back to normal but if the accelerator pedal is push to quickly it will go back Into limp mode if I put the vehicle in sport mode it happens almost immediately. Also the transmission has random down and upshifts and shifts very harshly at times.i drive over a mountain pass atleast 5 times a month and have been stuck on the side of the road multiple times waiting for my vehicle to go back to normal to make it over the pass.
