  Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 3rd row power seats may experience an inoperative power fold condition when a seat control switch button is pressed (3L, Center or 3R). This condition may be caused by an obstruction detected during a prior power fold event, triggering a protective lockout. 3rd row seat power fold function may be restored with the following relearn procedure: 1. Start the vehicle and open the tailgate. 2. Remove all items from the 2nd and 3rd row seats including any obstructions that can prevent from folding/unfolding. 3. Slide the 2nd row seats forward. 4. Press and hold the center 3rd power fold seat control button (located between 3L and 3R) for 1 minute. The seats will begin to move. 5. Continue holding the center button for an additional 5 seconds after the seats have stopped moving. 6. Press the 3L and 3R buttons independently to verify that the seats are folding properly. If the inoperative condition remains, continue with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10C. The Owner's Manual and WSM have been updated with this revised procedure.

  Some 2022-2024 Expedition vehicles equipped with driver assistance features and minor feature codes DBCBB and DBCBC may exhibit driver assistance feature warning messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Additionally, some modules may store invalid data/lost communication related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). The image processing module A (IPMA) should not store these DTCs. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This condition may be due to the software in the IPMA, causing it to not communicate on the network. To restore communication and functionality, download and run the "IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Recovery" app in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. Once IPMA communication has been restored, download and run the "IPMA - Image Processing Module (IPMA) Alignment" app, recheck DTCs and confirm that all warning messages are cleared from the IPC.

  2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with PRBs do not deploy the running boards in auto mode when the easy entry/exit setting for "Approach Detection" is toggled on. This is a change from prior models. Easy entry/exit under Settings in the vehicle's center display screen incorrectly indicate PRBs will deploy if the approach detection is set to ON. This will be changed in a future Digital Experience software update. The Workshop Manual and Owners Manual are also being corrected to explain proper operation of PRBs during Approach Detection.

  Some 2021-2025 Expedition/Navigator and 2021-2025 F-150 non-Lightning/non-PowerBoost vehicles may exhibit a rattle/scraping noise from the bellhousing area on start-up. This may be due to the torque converter studs contacting the engine to transmission spacer plate (separator plate). To correct this condition, inspect the engine to transmission spacer plate and torque converter studs for wear/damage. If wear/damage is found, replacement of the torque converter is not necessary. Replace only the engine to transmission spacer plate. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 303-01 > Engine to Transmission Spacer Plate for full spacer plate removal and installation. When reinstalling the starter motor, make sure the starter is flush with the engine to transmission spacer plate prior to tightening the studbolts. Failure to do so may result in damaging the newly installed engine to transmission spacer plate.

To correct this condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 2005 and applicable labor operations in Section 02 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

  After replacement of any TRON module, the gateway module (GWM) and the TRON capable modules can set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U211A, U211B, U211C, U3034, U3035, U3036, U35D9, U35DA and/or U35DB if the secret authentication security keys are not aligned between the modules, a loss of communication is occurring between modules and/or a module is not responding. This may be a result of missing the new module secret authentication security key obtained when running the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) "Trusted Real-Time Operation Network (TRON) Module Authentication" procedure after replacement. When replacing a TRON capable module, run the FDRS "Trusted Real-Time Operation Network (TRON) Module Authentication" procedure in the GWM tool box, not in the toolbox of the module with the DTC's, to distribute a new set of secret authentication security keys to all TRON-capable modules. Using the specific vehicle identification number (VIN), refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 418-00 and 418-01 for updated DTCs, applicable TRON module listings and pinpoint tests.

  Some 2025 F-150/Expedition/Navigator/Bronco/Ranger vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3012:68 stored in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module with a soft brake pedal following vehicle start-up with various brake system illuminated warning lamps and/or brake-related messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to a controller area network (CAN) communication concern within the ABS module. Replacement of the ABS module will not resolve this condition. To resolve this condition, place the vehicle in park. Disengage the park brake. Turn the vehicle off. Close all doors and liftgate/tailgate. Allow the vehicle to sit for 5 minutes to allow all vehicle modules to power down. Restart the vehicle. Verify brake functionality and clear any DTCs. Pressing unlock/lock button on the key fob, opening the doors/liftgate/tailgate or keeping the key fob within 30 ft (8 meters) of the vehicle can prevent the modules from powering down completely. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition

Start the vehicle and open the power liftgate/tailgate. 2. Remove all items from the 2nd and 3rd row seats including any obstructions that can prevent the third-row seats from folding/unfolding. 3. Push and hold the power fold seat control switch button labeled Both for 1 minute. The seats will begin to move. 4. Once the seats have stopped, hold the both button for an additional 5 seconds. 5. Verify correct power fold operation has returned to the third-row seat by pressing the 3L and 3R buttons independently. If the third-row power fold function remains inoperative after performing the revised relearn procedure, continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics located in Section 501-10C.
