VISIBILITY/WIPER
Wipers will slow down during constant on operation is selected, in low and high speed mode. They wipe as normal for 30-45 seconds, then start a slow speed wipe (in high or low, both slow to a crawl) for 2-3 wipes, then stop completely until the switch is changed to another setting. Then the cycle repeats. Makes driving in anything more than a drizzle challenging to see while constantly fiddling with the wiper switch.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed during inclement weather, the contact activated the windshield wipers; however, the wiper blades started wiping very slowly until the wiper blades became inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 900.

Wipers function for about 30 seconds on continuous, then go to intermittent, then stop. Does this at all speeds and all rain settings (heavy to light rain). Constantly having to turn wiper off and on to get it to function. Makes it difficult to see in rainy weather.

When wipers are on slow speed, after 17-22 sweeps will either stop, or to slow intermittant, does not matter on amount of water on the windshield. SSM FROM FORD IS NOT AN ANSWER. WIPERS SHOULD STAY ON

When it is snowing or raining and you have the wipers on they operate at normal speed setting for about 1 minute. They then begin to slow down creating a very dangerous situation of not being able to see. The wipers automatically slow to a speed that is unacceptable for best visibility while driving thru weather.

After less than a minute of running, the wipers suddenly slow down to the lowest wiper delay setting. You notice because, if you're in a storm or rain, you suddenly can't see out of the windshield. It does this on all of the wiper settings. If you're in a bad storm and you have the wipers running on maximum, they suddenly stop and go to like a once every 30 second wipe. you have to constantly turn the wiper control back and forth the whole time you're driving to keep the wipers working.

POWER TRAIN
I have a 2022 Ford Bronco with a manual transmission. My Bronco was recently in the shop from 12.22.22-01.23.24 for service on the transmission due to the grinding noise I was hearing. Dealer notes- "Cause 7107 222371A 2021-2022 Bronco Manual Transmission: Replace the 5th and 6th Gear Synchronizer Rings, Includes Time To Remove And Install The Transmission". It's now 2.25.23 and I have an appointment with the dealer again due to a grinding noise & shifting issues.

Vehicle deemed by dealer as "unsafe to drive"... I sent you complaint about a month or more back with no response....the 2021, 2022, 2023s all are being received brand new with noise starting shortly after....several hundred of us brand new 7 speed manual transmission Bronco owners are experiencing this..... Dealers are telling us drive them.... Mine got to the point the gears began locking up, grinding and the engine randomly high reving which could all of cause me to get into an accident. A recall needs made on these. Someone is going to get hurt trying to make a turn in traffic and Lossing power to get nailed by oncoming traffic. Mine now sits with the dealer and parts are back ordered till March... TSB 22-2371 which ford released for this has been unsuccessful on every documented repair. Noise returns. New transmission noise also returns. Do something and get these vehicles recalled so ford address the true safety concern that's being ignored. Mine is a great example of what's going to happen to everyone's

So when wipers are on fast or slow constant mode that they slow down and go into a slow intermittent mode all on their own. After about 35 seconds the wipers start to slow down then after 50 seconds they stop causing a serious safety concern. This has now happened several times. I was unable to see in front of me and almost hit another’s car. There were no warning lights. I am taking to a dealer next.

Windshield wipers when turned on will work and after a few seconds begin to slow, then go to working intermittently and then go to swiping like once every 5-8 seconds. When I reset the wiper it will do it all over again.

The windshield wipers will stop, and then start back up on a slower setting. It’s very alarming and dangerous when it’s pouring rain to have them suddenly stop. Ford is trying to say it’s normal but it definitely is not. There’s a glitch somewhere in the motor.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while driving in rainy weather at an undisclosed speed, the windshield wipers reduced speed and became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the mechanic was able to duplicate the failure; however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that it was a feature for the smart windshield wiper motor. The failure mileage was approximately 25.

I live on the north Oregon coast, very rainy one minute, nothing the next. Rural area, could be anything man or beast in the road. The windshield wipers stopped operating in a heavy down pour even though I had the setting for the wipers on low. Felt unsafe, almost zero visibility. The wipers did not restart on their own, had to turn the switch on and off.

On 2/08/2023, I came out of my garage and backed my bronco to our fence gate to feed our horse. I left the vehicle running with the heat on. The outside air was 20-40 degrees and raining. When I came back to the vehicle there was a crack from the outer edge of the windshield approximately six or more inches across. From the driver's side towards the passenger side. I had driven the bronco the day before and there was no damage or crack. When the crack occurred, no one was in the vehicle. When I brought the bronco back to the house, I wiped the rain away for a picture and found a very tiny chip in the crack. I'm not sure if a tiny rock did the damage or if that was from the windshield cracking. The chip is smaller than a pinhead and less than a millimeter deep.

POWER TRAIN
Flat Towing 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor with 3.0 V6 engine. After connecting my Bronco to the motorhome and putting it in the tow mode the following will occur. About 45 mins after turning the ignition off and closing the doors the EBB (Electronic Brake Boost) in the Bronco shuts down leaving the Bronco without any brake boost and leaves the supplemental brake system ineffective. When first connecting the Bronco to the motorhome the brake boost is active and the supplemental brake system must be set to match, or it will lock up the brakes on the Bronco when you stop. After the boost shuts down the supplemental brake system cannot apply enough force to the Bronco brakes to assist in stopping and all at once it takes a much greater distance to stop the motorhome than it did when the boost was working.

When operating the vehicle in the rain, the wipers will start to slow down between 30-60 seconds after turning them on. In a driving rain this becomes a safety concern as I have to turn the wipers off then back on. If the wipers are set to always on rather than intermittent, they should not behave like this. This problem has been reported by numerous owners on a Bronco fan site on the Internet affecting all model years. The owners manual claims this is a feature to prevent damage to the motor, but the wipers should never stop on their own while driving in the rain or snow.
