In March 13, 2024, when unlocking the doors from the driver's side control panel there was an audible buzzing sound from the passenger side sliding door. The door was still able to unlock and lock. After doing some research online I found that there was a problem with the locking door actuator that would cause a buzzing sound when engaged. This continued to happen anytime that sliding door was either locked or unlocked. In June of 2024, using the driver's side control panel, I attempted to unlock the passenger sliding door. The door didn't make the buzzing sound, but it also would not unlock. The door was seized shut. I use this vehicle to transport my three children to and from school. Their drop offs are on the right hand side. With the passenger sliding door being seized shut, because of the faulty actuator, my children have to get out on the driver's side door and into incoming traffic! This is a great risk to my children. I called to get it repaired from the dealer I purchased it from with the actuator recall that was issued only to be told thaty vehicle wasn't covered in that recall, yet I still have a door that is seized shut from the recalled actuator part.

My family was in the vehicle driving on the hwy in town and suddenly the car revved all the way up to 5000 rpms and would not shift out of first gear. When my husband shifted the car from drive to reverse to park the transmission made a loud clunking noise and hard jerking motion, the check engine light came on. There were no warning signs or lamps. this happened all within 30 seconds of driving down the highway. Since the vehicle would not shift out of first gear our safety was put at risk being we were on a major hwy and unable to gain speed or move out of way of traffic.

BOTH FRONT HEADRESTS ACTIVATED WITHOUT REAR COLLESION WHICH POSED A DANGER TO THOSE OCCUPANTS LOACATED IN EITHER FRONT SEAT. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE HEADRESTS RESET, WAS NOT ABLE TO DO A RESET, WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE NEW HEADRESTS AND HAVE THEM INSTALLED AT A GREAT COST TO THE CUSTOMER.

My airbag light goes on intermittently. I have no idea why. I took it to an independent repair shop and they said that they could not help me, I needed to check with the dealer to see if there was a recall. I checked for recalls, and there was no recall. Additionally, the tire pressure sensors also turn on intermittently even when tire pressure is correct.

The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, when a vehicle pulled out in front of her vehicle she swerved to the left to avoid the vehicle and crashed into a vehicle that was stopped for traffic on the road. The contact's vehicle front driver's bumper, grill, and headlight had crashed into the stopped vehicle's passenger side rear bumper and wheel well. The contact stated the police and EMS were on the scene. None of the air bags deployed. The contact stated that she complained about pain in both her collarbones and pain in both her knees. The contact was examined by the EMS, but declined to be transported to the ER. The contact had her vehicle towed back to her residence. The sliding door locks/actuators on the rear sliding doors do not engage allowing the doors to open even when the doors are locked leaving the risk of the doors opening while the vehicle is moving or allowing someone to break into the vehicle since the doors won't lock and can be opened, even when the rest of the doors on the vehicle are locked.

I bought my 2017 dodge grand caravan in 2019 with 20,000 miles on it. Shortly after I had problems with the key not doing the automatic start. Then the wipers no longer sprayed fluid, then I noticed the van used some radiator fluid when we went drivingg any distance. Then the door locks stopped working.then the passenger slide door stopped shutting and locking or would close on the kids getting in the van. Now when I took it to the dodge dealership about a month th ago to fix the front seat trim that fell off, they said I had a leaky transmission hose. They fixed it a d charged for the flush and hose. One month later I'm getting an error code for the tranny. Had it flushed and paid again. They said they don't know maybe I need a new transmission. I ha e always done the up keep on this van oil changes and such. I looked up recalls a d everything happening to my van happened to the 2016 models. They were recalled for the same transmission problems. It only has 90000 miles. Now the dealership wa ts me to buy a transmission. Please help.

ISSUE: sliding door lock actuators seize and lock the door. Only way to unlock is to take completely apart the inside door panels, motors, cables etc etc, it's hell. This is definitely a safety issue.

10/2020 - Bought this van at Findlay Honda in Henderson, relied upon Carfax report provided by the dealer that No Manufacture Recalls Reported to Carfax. Vehicle Qualifies for the Carfax Buyback Program. [XXX] - @ around 1am I was driving at [XXX] towards [XXX] when the van lose power and was forced to parked near a safety zone. Waited out for an hour and was able to arrived home safely. 02/24/24 - Called Findlay Honda about the incident but was told it was not covered by an extended warranty. Was told to call Towbin Dodge Henderson. The van was towed by Agero Towing to Towbin Dodge for diagnosis. 02/29/24 - Towbin Dodge Henderson confirmed that the Automatic Transmission failed and must be replaced and fix for $8,100+ coz it's no longer covered by a manufacturer's warranty for driving 60,298 miles. The vehicle was not inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives. [XXX] - I noticed a dashboard warning to change oil so I went to a mechanic friend for change oil that day. Went back to mechanic on 02/21/24 because the warning for change oil still popping up. Ask to check the transmission oil and showed me the oil level is proper and color is red. While driving around 30mph, the van completely shut down. With nowhere to pull over on the right, and to avoid an accident, I turned left onto a side road. I quickly realized I had no power steering or brakes. I had 2 children in the vehicle and school had just let out. Luckily there was no accident. With no brakes, I just coasted until I came to a stop on the side of the road. I wasn’t able to move the shifter into park. After a few minutes, everything came back to life. I was able to shift to park, start it up and drive away. No warning lights came on. No check engine light. This situation could have become really bad, really quick.

I have a 2018 dodge grand caravan whose door lock actuators are failing in the rear sliding doors. This is accompanied by loud buzzing. Sometimes they don’t unlock which causes some problems for backseat passengers. After looking online, I found there is a recall for this same problem in model years 2016-2017. I’m having the same issue but my vehicle is not covered under the recall. I just want you to know that the problem is still happening.

Right sliding door does not lock when lock button is pushed and will swing open during driving and can be opened when parked while the lock system is still in place. Also the door when manually closed has trapped an arm and does not stop closing. Also have bubbles on front hood from unknown cause. Door problem started several weeks ago and was looked at then and also today at the dealer.
