A few months ago the main oil cooling hose broke while I was on the freeway at 65 mph. I lost power to the vehicle and prompted to shift to neutral and to shut vehicle off. I did, after exiting the vehicle, I noticed all engine oil had been exited from motor. I thought the worst, new motor... Dwayne Lanes in Arlington had told me everything was fine, the had inspected the pan and looked to be no damage. Fast forward to last week, same issue repeats, minus the oil. Lost power on a 2 laned back road, extremely nerve racking! Now the dealership says I have metal debris in my oil, and a replacement is required. This is referenced as uncommon, but how could that be if there is a national shortage on the DFM/6.2L L87 V8. Purchased this vehicle with 18,000 miles, 2021. 2025 has 56,000 miles. I drive less than 9,000 per year. GM knows there is an issues, this is extremely dangerous and costly for the consumer. Hope DOGE looks in to this

While returning home from my son's graduation. I came to a stop at a stoplight. Before I could come to a complete stop my check engine lights came on and beeped indicating I had low oil pressure. I looked at my guage and it was sitting at 0 psi. I gave the truck some gas to try to bring the oil pressure up and it seemed to work. But the damage was already done. It had a steady knock. I pulled over to check my oil level. It was full. I was able to make it home and to the dealership. I told them what had happened and they replaced the engine. This was at around 20,000 miles. 1 year later, 8,000 miles later. Driving home from work I noticed a tick sitting at a stop light. Drove it home and parked it, knowing my past expirience I didn't want to risk being stalled on a busy highway. Dealership just told me I need another engine. First 10,000 miles, my transmission went bad. 20,000 the motor went bad. 28,000 another motor. Instead of fixing the problem they just replace parts.

The brakes feel squishy and it is difficult to stop at low speeds. Yes it is available for inspection upon request. Safety being put at risk by not being able to stop in time possibly causing crash. The truck was taken to a mechanic who found a code stating low vacuum pressure on brake booster but they could not find a leak anywhere and cleared the code. It is unknown if the component has been inspected by the manufacturer. Yes there has been a warning light before. It is unknown when exactly this problem started.

Vehicle has left me stranded multiple times, once over 2000 miles from home at only 26k miles on the vehicle with catastrophic engine emissions and electrical failures. Costing me thousands in lodging and months of my time. My vehicle has stalled multiple times on interstates and busy roads with no shoulders putting me and other drivers at risk.

The first thing that happened was the transmission, driveshaft, and rear end all blew at the same time while I was on the freeway. I had to swerve over and get out of the lane I was in and part of the driveshaft was still sitting in the road and cars were hitting it. There was no lights or anything until it happened. I got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and looked under the truck and there was a flame coming out of the rear end. I was able to extinguish it. It was inspected by delta transmission and they said that the rear end gave out first and damaged the rest. Not even 2 weeks later the second thing that happened was my engine gave out. I was driving on the freeway and the engine stalled out on me and I barely got off an exit before the truck stopped moving. I had to get it towed to a shop where they told me that the 2 rods on cylinders 1 and 7 had given out and that I needed a new engine. Again no warning lights or anything until it happened. This all happened in February of 2025.

Vehicle Message "Reduced Acceleration Drive with Care" . My car then ran like it was in 1st gear for my drive home. Next morning couldn't go into reverse so I had to have my buddy help me tow it. Went to the dealer and they said that it's "an ongoing issue with GM that they haven't addressed with several vehicles and the part (Valve Body) is on backorder with no ETA. With this horrible safety issue you would think GM would just take the hit and change out the entire transmission instead of making people wait so long without their vehicles.

When putting my vehicle in park and turning vehicle off keys won’t come out and stay stuck. Problem continues to only get worse and I have to wait to remove key. Battery sometimes dies as I am very busy and don’t have time to sit there and play or wait for key to come out 10+minutes. In the heat vehicle is off as I am trying to remove key and I have a baby in the car seat in the heat. This is extremely frustrating and dealership won’t do anything about it. This is my only vehicle and I can’t afford a rental car while I send it in so I continue to deal with it. Sometimes I have to leave keys attached hoping no one steals my vehicle or belongings. I have taken to a mechanic and they cannot firguee out the issue.

The sudden rear wheel lock up recall that GM has released for the 2020+ Silverado's with the 10-speed transmission does not go far enough. The recall simply reprograms the PCM to alert the driver 10,000 miles prior to the valve in the valve body failing, puts the vehicle into limp mode, and extended the warranty on the valve body to 15 years or 150,000 miles. GM states there is no fix available and this is not correct. NextGen Drivetrain has developed a fix for this per their website [XXX] ). On their site they also provide videos of trucks experiencing the lock up where it seems that the vehicle downshifts to 2-nd gear at high speeds and creates a violent jolt. This is extremely troubling to me as these vehicles are meant to tow, and I am very fearful that this issue will happen while towing a long trailer while my family and I are traveling and putting them in danger of an accident. It is very concerning to me that NHTSA would allow for this type of a "FIX". I am not sure if you have seen the videos of this issue happening, or know that a fix does seem to have been developed. I ask that you please reopen this investigation and revisit the way GM is handling this recall, and look into the fix that NextGen drivetrain has developed. The six speed transmission 6L80 failed with less then 60k miles and before it's first service due at 72k miles, I have already had the transmission repaired so the original transmission components are not available for inspection. My transmission failed when I was driving across the Coronado bridge in San Diego CA. This bridge has no shoulders to safely pull over. I had my truck towed to Cummings Chevrolet in National City CA. and they confirmed the transmission needed replacing. Yes the check engine light did come on but it was already too late to save the transmission.
