SummaryDelivery Stop: Rear Shock Absorber Guide Support. A Delivery Stop has been issued on certain 2014 model year F15 vehicles produced on March 5, 2014. These vehicles may be equipped with incorrect top mount flanges (shock caps) on the rear axle. Affected vehicles in dealer inventory must not be retailed or delivered until this issue is corrected. Vehicles at ports of entry will be repaired prior to dealer delivery. This bulletin will be updated with instructions and warranty information when parts become available. Please contact your field representatives if you have any questions. The customer complains that one of the following scenarios has been encountered while operating the vehicle: * During a cold start in the morning, the engine runs very roughly and the Service Engine Soon lamp is illuminated. * During a hot start, the engine runs very roughly and the Service Engine Soon lamp is illuminated. While driving or idling, the engine will misfire and the Service Engine Soon lamp is illuminated. * Various misfire faults are stored in DME fault memory. CAUSE An internal failure of the high-pressure fuel injector can lead to incorrect operation.

Summary"Various Interior Ambient Light Malfunctions Occur. The interior ambient light malfunctions with one or more of the following symptoms present: 1. The ambient light in the door trim lights up in the wrong color (LED module). 2. The ambient light is brighter on one side in the dash panel than on the other. 3. One of the ambient lights does not light up on the driver's side of the dash panel or door panel. 4. A group of ambient lights is malfunctioning. CAUSE One of the following could be the root cause: a. Remove the affected door trim panel for inspection per ISTA Repair Instruction 5141000, ""Removing and installing 1. An incorrect fit between the LED module and fiber cable 2. Connections on the LED modules in the door panel are not fitted correctly. 3. The LED module in the door panel and/or the dash panel is not locked correctly in the mounting bracket, or the fiber optic cable on the LED module is broken. 4. The BDC (Body Domain Controller) is missing initialization and automatic addressing of all LED modules."

Vehicles held at the ports of entry are being inspected and/or repaired prior to center delivery. During this inspection and analysis of data, BMW of North America has documented a failure rate of less than one in two hundred. The affected vehicles are listed in the attachment to this bulletin; they are also identified with a ""Vehicle Comment"" in the DCSnet Warranty Vehicle Inquiry or ISPA as follows: ??Defect Code 0033840100, Delivery Stop: Rear Axle Differential; see SI B 33 01 14 The initial limited available stock of parts is reserved for vehicles that have already been sold and are in customers' hands (see Situation 2). Affected vehicles in center inventory must not be retailed or delivered until the rear differential has been replaced. 2 Certain 2014 model year F15 and F3x vehicles produced from July 2013 to January 2014 may have final drive differential gears that have not been properly hardened.
