This bulletin modifies the Audi Warranty Policies and Procedures Manual and is applicable to dealers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The extension aims to cover the repair or replacement of the sunroof and any resulting consequential damage.

Symptoms

Owners of affected vehicles may experience:

• Leakage from the sunroof into the vehicle interior.
• Water ingress into the vehicle interior when the sunroof is in the fully closed position.
• Consequential damage inside the vehicle directly resulting from water ingress.

Warranty Extension Details

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty for the sunroof will be extended to 7 years or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's original in-service date. The original in-service date is defined as the date the vehicle was delivered to the first purchaser or lessee, or the date it was first placed in service as a "demonstrator" or "company" car.

This extended warranty covers the diagnosis and repair of leakage and water ingress from the sunroof while it is fully closed, as well as any direct consequential damage caused by this water ingress.

Exclusions from Coverage

It's important to note that this limited warranty extension does not cover repairs or replacements for conditions resulting from:

• Abuse, misuse, alteration, or modification.
• Collision, crash, vandalism, or other impact.
• Failure to properly or fully close the sunroof.
• Broken, cracked, or damaged sunroof glass or other components.
• Improper maintenance, such as failure to inspect for clogged drains.
• Repairs performed by a non-dealer or an outside source.

Vehicles with a totaled status or salvaged title are also excluded from coverage under this Warranty Extension.

How to Check Eligibility

To determine if your vehicle is eligible for the sunroof limited warranty extension, an authorized Audi dealer can check the VIN in Elsa > Vehicle Data. The "Warranty" section of the "Vehicle Data" screen will display the Warranty Key "U63 Sunroof WrtyExt 7y/80K Prorated Coverage" if your vehicle is applicable for this extension.

Claiming Procedures

For claims covered at 100% under the Sunroof Class Action Limited Warranty Extension, dealers must use the following SAGA codes:
