2022 Audi e-tron GT Transmission Shifts to Park or Neutral TSB
Audi has issued Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 2067797/1 for the 2022 e-tron GT, addressing an issue where the transmission may unexpectedly shift into Park or Neutral at low speeds. This is due to a software error, and a permanent solution is currently under development.

Symptoms
Owners of 2022 Audi e-tron GT vehicles may experience the transmission unexpectedly shifting into Park or Neutral when the vehicle is at or near a stop. This can occur while driving below 3 mph, whether the vehicle is in Drive or Reverse.
Workshop findings indicate that this concern is intermittent, and no relevant Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are stored in the vehicle's system. The ignition remains on, and drivers can typically re-engage Drive or Reverse by applying the brakes and selecting the desired gear.
Diagnosis
According to Audi TSB 2067797/1, the root cause of the 2022 Audi e-tron GT transmission shifts to Park or Neutral issue is a software error. Specifically, the engine control unit receives an erroneous message that prompts it to command the transmission into Park or Neutral.
Technicians can confirm if a vehicle is affected by checking the software versions of two key components. These are the Engine Control Module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001), with software version 9J1907558E_0020, and the High-voltage battery charger (OBC), J1050 (address word 00C6), with software version 5QE915684CR 1088.
Important Warnings for Owners
Audi has stated that a permanent software solution for the 2022 Audi e-tron GT transmission shifts to Park or Neutral problem is currently under development. A new Technical Service Bulletin or Service Action will be released once the solution is available.
Crucially, owners should be aware that replacing any components will not resolve this concern. Dealers are advised not to perform part replacements for this issue. This TSB is informational, guiding technicians on how to identify the problem and what to communicate to customers while awaiting the fix.
What Owners Should Do
If your 2022 Audi e-tron GT experiences the transmission shifting to Park or Neutral, the immediate workaround is to apply the brakes and then select the desired gear (Drive or Reverse) to continue driving. No warning messages are typically displayed, and the ignition remains on during these events.
It is recommended to visit an authorized Audi dealer to have the software versions checked. Even though a permanent fix is pending, your dealer can create a PSS (Pending Service Solutions) record. This helps Audi track the prevalence of the issue and ensures your vehicle is noted for the future software update.
Warranty Information
This concern is covered under warranty for vehicles up to 48 months or 50,000 miles. For Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles, coverage is under the G10 claim type, subject to owner verification. If the vehicle is outside of warranty, this Technical Service Bulletin serves as informational guidance only.
Warranty claims for this issue use Service Number 9330 and Damage Code 0040. The diagnostic time for checking faults and software is recorded as 0151 0000 (GFF).
