According to Audi TSB 2067797/1, the root cause of the 2022 Audi e-tron GT transmission shifts to Park or Neutral issue is a software error. Specifically, the engine control unit receives an erroneous message that prompts it to command the transmission into Park or Neutral.

Technicians can confirm if a vehicle is affected by checking the software versions of two key components. These are the Engine Control Module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001), with software version 9J1907558E_0020, and the High-voltage battery charger (OBC), J1050 (address word 00C6), with software version 5QE915684CR 1088.
